I hope you’re the one who gets this, and not a mantid. I’m glad you’ve not been eaten, and if they try anything then you can tell them I forbid it. You can also tell them if even an enormous Old God tentacle servant couldn’t manage it, back in the Twilight Highlands, you’re not likely to be digestible now.

I’m glad there was something to this lead, and that you all are making some headway. Getting them against the mogu would already be a help, and if we can convince them to classify Alliance and pandaren as not-prey, that’d be even better. I take your point, that they’re not our friends and won’t be. I’m not setting a place at dinner for them or anything. Still, though, enemies of a subset of our enemies can be useful, if we point them in the right direction. We’ve no shortage of enemies here, for certain.

The sound you talk about, the humming, seems like it might get annoying over time, if it hasn’t gotten already. I’m going to see if I can find some good ear muffs for you, to include with my next letter. Spring is not quite the right season for buying ear muffs, but I can always ask Cressidha for help with it if I can’t find any. Not for combat obviously, but maybe for sleeping, when others are on watch.

And the sha. Fear. You’ve faced down Doubt and Despair already, so you’d better not doubt yourself or fall into any despair over handling this next one. I know fear, how to use it, how to wield it. You’ve seen me do it, seen how it drives a person, makes them run directions they wouldn’t otherwise, forget their strengths. Knowing how it works, you can spot it when it’s happening, step around it. I know you can, and you can help the others. Keep yourself safe, and them, too.

We’ve got no major problems with sha in the Vale. The mogu are not letting up, but we’re still holding the line. Things have been pretty calm around the Mistfall area lately, excepting for sprites and spirits getting up to nonsense, and folk are still relaxing at Whitepetal Lake. Caspis misses your squad leader, I think. Last time we all went out, he just hovered around silently, staring at the wall. I know how he feels. You can tell her he’s well and safe, if a little bit nonverbal and avian.

When we’ve got some downtime, I think I’m going to go look at that soul library in the Mogu’shan Vaults. I wish you were here to guide, but I’ll be going with Baird and Melancholy, and Aszera too, in the end. She’s come through to Pandaria recently as well. A lot of people are starting to come over, now we’ve got the portal in the Shrine well-established. Anyway, I don’t expect much trouble in the Vaults, but we’ll be ready for it just in case.

Melancholy’s training up well. I only have to tell her a thing once and she’s got it in that mind house of hers, and in her notebook too. Over at the Setting Sun Garrison, they even had her helping train up some of the fresh pandaren recruits. Shun and Baird did mostly, with melee fighting, but Melancholy saw how they’d handle some curses.

I’m safe and Bun’s well. You’re brave. I mean it. I know you, and I refuse to share you with any kind of sha, so keep them out. I love you. I miss you.

Your princess,
Lena
