Hello Mordecai,

I’m sorry it’s been so long since I’ve written to you.
Things have been a little… confusing for me recently I guess.
My work has been progressing well in Felwood. If anything it’s a bit dull to be honest. It feels a bit selfish to say that. It’s better if things go well, right?
I just feel a bit lost sometimes. When we had the Molten Front to worry about everything I did felt like it had a purpose. Lately, though, I feel like I’m just going through the motions.
It’s vexing. I was so determined to save my homeland and save Azeroth, but now that things are relatively safe again I don’t know what to do with myself.
I don’t know. Maybe I shouldn’t think about it so much. I know I worry too much, it’s just hard to help it sometimes.

Everyone is off in Pandaria right now doing really important things, and I’m just tying up loose ends here in Kalimdor.
I want to help, but with the threat of the Sha I just know I’ll be a bigger liability than any expertise I’ll be able to bring.
There’s plenty of other assassins out there who aren’t so… unstable.
But I guess you’ll just tell me to not put myself down like that.
I know you’re right, and it doesn’t help me to think like that, but it doesn’t make it any less true.

Anyway, Nylarria and I are still getting along ok.
She’s taking the slower pace of things much better than me.
She’s been very sleepy lately. It’s probably because she pushes herself too hard, which is probably also what you’d tell me right now.
In that sense I suppose it’s good that we’re together. I get to see and feel firsthand when someone close to me hurts themselves to help others.
I do what I can to make things easy on her with herbal remedies and things, but she’s always in so much pain. Now that we have more time to ourselves and aren’t always out chasing after marks, it’s like all the strain she’s put on her body is catching up with her.
Some days it gets so bad that even I start feeling phantom pains from it.
Maybe that’s my role for now, though. I can stay here and take care of her so maybe she can live as a normal person one day.

But I suppose that’s enough rambling for now.
I hope you are taking care of yourself as best as you can too.
I miss you and Ven and everyone else so much. I hope that you’re able to complete your missions there quickly so you can come back soon.

Love,
Velrin
