Arc: The Bride Will Fall

Dear Admiral Siamus Fallon,

Enclosed is as accurate a quick portrait as I am capable of providing of my memory of Quinn MacBride. I am no Lady Priscilla, in either skill or memory of features, but I am relatively confident in it as a decent likeness. I’m trading the expediency of pencil for the potential usefulness of color that might cause a delay. She has long brown hair I’ve only seen in a braid, and brown eyes, warm pale skin. I am equally confident it will not be useful in identifying her until you have already met her, and have reason to try to verify her appearance against it once you know she is Quinn MacBride.

I returned to the Customs Office to test my theory, to speak to the person I recall her speaking to, with the ruse of returning a lost item I believed to be hers. When I attempted to describe Quinn MacBride by features, the woman had no recollection of who I could possibly mean, until a vague spark at the mention of a “long braid,” the one thing that did seem to break through. It isn’t a memory wipe that is for certain.

The moment I said that I thought I remembered that her name might have been Quinn, the woman knew who I meant, and could recall specifics, although it was obvious she had only vague memories of Quinn MacBride, despite it being only a few days ago. The more she spoke of her, however, the clearer it seemed to be for a bit. But I have a feeling that if I were to come back in a month, she might not remember her at all, or only by name on a paper.

I don’t feel like the House is in any active danger from the MacBrides from a direct attack of any sort. It doesn’t seem like a menacing, exactly. But, I’d rather not find out, so Miss Curran and Vane have been apprised for the main house. I’ll always have the townhouse under an eye.

But, the sense that they’re watching us isn’t getting any better the more I look. Even what I can tell of their interest in Pandaria seems to be deliberately chosen to non-compete with us, or maybe simply not be where we might pay closer attention to them. There is not a single overlap of location from any official documentation at least.

From what I gather, the only MacBride set to be in Pandaria is Quinn MacBride, arriving on the 25th of this month. Officially.

The family also seems to have also taken some sort of hit in the year after Deathwing’s rise. Something about their island in the Swamp of Sorrows. Maybe enough of a hit that they’re looking for an option on how they might get “lucky,” and we’re on their list of options in some way.

I appreciate you hearing me out, sir. I know it’s not much to go on, if anything at all. But I do think there’s something. Even if it’s only that they’ve kept us on a list, and if so, they should have it made clear that they ought not to dare.

It will likely take me some time to find out more, since I don’t want to tip our hand that we’re looking back until we know, or fall into the trap of being led where they’d want us to go as we did before with Mr. Green. I will be careful.
