Dara Tennerow Sophiette Valonforth

Dara smiles at Sophiette. "Well, seems like the orc aggression is all but cleared up. Alexei is telling me they know where the local leader is. Think we can take him out?"

Sophiette stiffens with sudden resolve. "Of course! We cannot let evil take root here. We must dig it out!"

Dara beams. "Let's get digging!"

The two girls fly over to the indicated place, where a few orcs have built up a camp.

Dara points. "There! The one with the big pauldrons!"

[Sophiette]: Huh. It's always the one with the big pauldrons…

Dara giggles.

They make quick work of the orcs, pauldrons notwithstanding.

[Dara]: Well, that takes care of that! I hope the orcs will keep to their side of the hills now.

[Sophiette]: I wouldn't bet on it. But at least we've driven them back for the time being.

Dara sighs. "You're probably right. But at least with this, we can start our search for Ruuna with a clear conscience."

[Dara]: At least we have a map now, so we can go about things more methodically.

[Sophiette]: I feel like we're so close…yet still so far from out goal.

[Dara]: Yes, knowing exactly what we're looking for… but then it's a whole continent. *Dara looks at the map.* Ooh, look here, there's another Alliance camp, out to the east! It's marked Westfall militia. I seem to recall that they helped, back during the campaign here.

[Sophiette]: Westfall? How curious. Do you suppose they're all from there?

[Dara]: At this point, who can say? I know Marshal Stoutmantle is back to Westfall, rebuilding.

[Sophiette]: Marshal Stoutmantle?

[Dara]: Yes, he's the leader of the Westfall Militia, and now he's a Marshal. Cobalt worked with him a lot, in the early days.

[Sophiette]: I see! Well, then hopefully we'll get a warm welcome.

They arrive at the once Westfall militia camp, which now may be a little more broadly defined. It is still, though, definitely Alliance.

[Dara]: Ooh, look at all the banners. So patriotic. *Dara stares around at the well-kept camp*

Sophiette spots someone who looks important.

[Sophiette]: There…with the big pauldrons.
Sophiette giggles softly.

Dara giggles, smiling at Sophiette.

Sophiette salutes Captain Thincoat with respect.

Captain Thincoat turns towards the approaching mercenaries. "Oh, hello. Don't think I've seen you around before. I'm Captain Thincoat. What brings you out to our camp?"

[Sophiette]: Sir! Sophiette Valonforth and Lady Dara Tennerow. We're hoping you might be able to help us. We're looking for a seer called Ruuna.

Captain Thincoat raises his eyebrows. "Two ladies come to my camp looking for a mystic. Well, as it happens, I do know where she is these days."

Dara brightens. "You do? Where?"

[Sophiette]: You do! That's wonderful news, sir. Thank you!

Captain Thincoat nods. "She's camping just to the southwest of here, by Vordrassil Pass. But…" he eyes Dara and Sophiette's tabards. "Are you Cobalt Compay? And the Argent Crusade?"

[Sophiette]: We are, yes.

“The information I offer, free of charge, but… I'm hoping you might be able to help us out with a little situation here,” Captain Thincoat says.

Sophiette lets out a heavy breath to disguise her irritation and eagerness to leave. "Yes…of course. How can we help?"

“We seem to have an… uh, infestation of sorts. Down in Hollowstone Mine,” Captain Thincoat sighs. “It's those blasted undead, the mindless ones. They get in a place, and then all your people refuse to go in to take them out. It's still important to the Alliance to keep the mines up here operational."

[Sophiette]: Don't worry, sir. We're Argent Crusade. We'll route the vile corpses!

[Dara]: Yes, with so much war, I suppose we can't lose any source of supplies… and yes, that is exactly what we specialize in.

The two ladies make their way over to the mine.

Petra, a woman soldier, looks over as Dara and Sophiette reach the entrance. "Are you here to clear out the undead? Thank the Light."

Sophiette nods firmly, hefting her shield in front of her. "We are. You can stand down, soldier. We'll take it from here."

Petra sighs in relief. "Stay safe in there."

There are a lot of undead in the mine. Dara and Sophiette get to work taking them out.

[Dara]: This really is a problem. Goodness, so many of them.

[Sophiette]: We'll swing through the other tunnel. There can't be that many more.

Dara nods. “At least there's no Lich King to raise them again, once we've cleared them. They must've wandered in one night, from elsewhere.”

[Sophiette]: That's got to be the last of them.

They head out of the mine.

Dara waves to Petra as they make it back to the entrance.

Sophiette salutes Petra on their way out. "They should be vanquished now. There's really nowhere left for them to hide."

Petra smiles. "That's the best news I've heard all day. I'll let the miners know."

Now it’s back to camp.

Dara lands her gryphon near Captain Thincoat and waves cheerily.

Sophiette salutes Captain Thincoat.

[Sophiette]: Sir, the undead have been destroyed. Your miners should be safe now.

Captain Thincoat salutes back. "Thank you, ladies. We're indebted to the Argent Crusade and Cobalt Company yet again. I hope you find Ruuna before she packs up camp again. Best of luck, with whatever you need a mystic for."

The two ladies fly off eagerly, ready to meet the mystic.

Dara points at a wagon with a crystal ball out front. "Look! That must be her."

Sophiette dives just a little too fast in her eagerness. Gallant squawks in protest and pulls back, landing carefully. Sophiette pats her hippogryph, "Sorry, boy. I got a little too excited there."

Dara follows a little more carefully, after that, and lands neatly by Gallant and Sophiette's side.

A grey-haired woman in a blindfold rests against the wagon, smiling vaguely at the sky.

Sophiette approaches cautiously. "Excuse me…are you Ruuna?"

The woman startles, and then turns towards Sophiette. "I am. So you must be the visitor I was expecting today."

[Sophiette]: You were? Oh…right. Of course you were. Ahem. I'm Sophiette Valonforth. This is Lady Dara Tennerow. Do…do you already know why we've come?

Dara curtsies, and then belatedly realizes the woman probably didn't see it. Well, who knows, with magic!

Ruuna cocks her head, and purses her lips. "You come seeking something. Something dangerous. A vision of the present, I think."

Sophiette steps forward, nodding emphatically. "Yes! I seek a man called Falric. He was a captain of the King's Guard of Lordaeron. But…he is a man no more. He betrayed my father and became a death knight in service to the Lich King. We have reason to believe he has survived Arthas and is still in these lands…somewhere.”

Ruuna nods slowly. "A very dangerous man. Many people come to me seeking knowledge of the future, but you seek assistance in making a future of your own."

[Dara]: Can you help? We were told — that is, we were led to believe that you could.

Ruuna smiles. "Yes, I can help you. I'll just need you to bring me some gossamer dust from the moths northeast of here. Then, I will help you find what you seek."

[Sophiette]: Of course! Consider it done.

The two women head back to their gryphons and eagerly make their way to moths for collecting gossamer dust.

Dara looks at Sophiette excitedly. “Things are finally beginning to fall into place!”

[Sophiette]: I feel like we're so close!

[Dara]: Do you think we're ready to fight a death knight? I don't want to waste any time, but also… they are quite difficult foes.

[Sophiette]: They're formidable, to be sure. But…we do have allies. Mercy…maybe she would help us.

“You're right, we have allies,” Dara nods. "And there are those in Cobalt who fought the Lich King himself."

They finish getting the dust, and fly back to Ruuna.

Dara lands eagerly next to Ruuna's little camp, her bag full of glimmering dust.

[Sophiette]: "We found lots of moth dust, Ruuna!"

Ruuna smiles, reaching out a hand in the general direction of Sophiette's voice. "Then I am ready to begin looking for you, for this Falric." Ruuna runs her fingers through the dust. "Looking for the present and into danger, is more complicated than telling a young woman how many children she may one day bear, or the name of her future sweetheart."

Sophiette nods, wide-eyed, hanging on Ruuna's every word.

Ruuna hums quietly, and then nods. "This may take some time for me to do safely. I promise you, I will send word when I have found him, and I will not move my camp."

Sophiette tenses, swallowing her disappointment. "Oh…I see. Yes, of course. We're staying at the Amberpine Lodge. So…we should wait for word from you there?”

Ruuna nods. "You may. I am certain my message will reach you, wherever you go. But do not lose heart, I will do this divination for you."

[Sophiette]: Thank you, Ruuna. Light bless you.

[Dara]: Yes, thank you ever so much. *She turns to Sophiette.* Well, back to Amberpine for now…
