You do not celebrate Winter Veil, a fact of which I am aware because you have been extremely sarcastic at me about it in the past. In addition, the traditional holiday “exchange” of gifts is more in the spirit of spontaneous generosity rather than in the sense of “I will trade you the 7th Legion for a bottle of wine.”

Not because of the wine but because we are friends and also military cooperation etc. It is very good wine though. I might be a little bit drunk. Are you drunk in Pandaria?

I dare not speculate on the nature of your overtures to High Commander Wyrmbane, but I am glad to report nonetheless that we are in the process of arranging the dispatch of 7th Legion personnel. Before said arrangements are formalized, I want to clarify that your request was for a single expeditionary unit.

That is correct. The Horde forays onto the beach are no longer concerted efforts but scattered guerilla actions, and I believe an expeditionary unit is the swiftest and most efficient way to counter them. I believe as well that pandaren assent to the entry of additional Alliance personnel into Pandaria is more easily obtained the fewer such personnel there are, and that we would be best-served by representing them as scouts and guards for our prospective trade outpost in the Krasarang Wilds rather than a special forces unit.
My request was, specifically, for the 6th E.U., if that can be arranged.

The 6th Expeditionary Unit of the 7th Legion, under the command of Captain Zath Tyrrell, will report through the Paw’don Village portal on January 10th, once all permissions have been secured. They will liaise there with you or one of your officers.
They will be accompanied by a group from the Explorers’ League of Ironforge led by Prospector Aitne Windwright. This group will make local surveys of the area, and we trust their inclusion will reassure the pandaren that our intentions are diplomatic and scholarly rather than aggressive.
All aggressive intentions should be kept strictly confidential.
