A letter arrives addressed to Caspis Silvershade, care of Anareline Silvershade. With it is a selection of leather, which has an usual kind of misty, ghostly quality to it. It is written in Darnassian.
Shan’do Silvershade,
I have been working in the Krasarang Wilds of Pandaria for Cobalt Company, and I hope I am making you proud. I do not know if you have met most of the people in my team, but I know you know shan’var Atley. I too have fought with him many times before, and he is a good leader. I think you would like the others, too. Like Oranna, a dwarf who is very smart about animals. If you ever need someone to rebuild an ecosystem with, she would be a good choice.
About rebuilding, what we did in our latest mission reminded me of the time we spent in the Plaguelands, so I wanted to write to you to tell you about it. My team has been trying to fix problems with natural balance, and I think we are doing a good job.
We came to a fishing village where the crocolisks were attacking and eating the people. We took a closer look at the situation rather than just killing crocolisks, because really they are animals that do what they need to do to live within their system. We also looked closer at the crocolisks, and I bet dwarf-Bran has some nice sketches. I am sorry, I forgot to ask him for one to send you.
So yes, it turns out that the crocolisks’ food source was harmed by overfishing, so we handled that, and now they will probably be like they were before. That is, they’ll still eat people sometimes, because they are predators. But they will do it less because they are not hungry and desperate.
Next we helped balance local wildlife, predators and prey, tigers and cranes. We did this probably more conscientiously than the gnome who tasked us with it would have. She wanted to use laser cannons. I can see now why you find gnomes confusing. We had perfectly good teeth and claws. Oh, and weapons, I guess, some of our people have those too. Though sometimes I think of shadow-human Shine’s weapons as claws, because he is very quick with them.
Anyway, now tigers will probably still eat travelers sometimes, but hopefully not as often. There were way too many predators for the environment to support, so something must have happened in the recent past to shift the numbers out of balance. We did what we could to correct it. I know nature would eventually, but nature’s hands are less caring and intentional than ours.
I have included with this letter some of the local leather, because it seems very strange to me. I do not feel sad when I hold it, though, so I think it is safe from the sha, which are the bad spirits of this place. I thought maybe you would like to make something with it.

Shan’dokasa Palemoon,
While I was fighting a tiger the other day, I thought of you. I thought maybe I should write and tell you about Pandaria because sometimes I think you don’t hear all the news wherever it is that you are. Pandaria is a new continent which is filled with new people (like the pandaren) and also dark spirits called sha.
Hunting is very good here in Pandaria. The mage I talked to said the crane steak would be fresh when you got it, so I hope that was not a lie. If it was, this letter may smell very bad. The mage also gave me a very weird look when I asked to send you raw game, but then she did not look like she had ever eaten anyone’s face.
There are lots of pandaren farmers in the Valley, too, but I have not seen any Forsaken here. It would not be like it was at Andorhal. I really do not think the pandaren will get raised into undeath at all. I saw them infested by sha spirits, but we also helped them get better. I think if you were to visit, depending on where you went, it would just be a peaceful place with a lot of new animals to stalk.
I have made new animal friends here, too, who you might like. Befound is a snow leopard, and she does better than you might think in the jungle with her snow leopard hide. She is a very clever hunting cat, and I think you would get along. Then there is Bun, who is a tanuki. He wants to be more of a hunter than he is. I think Befound is training him up. Right now he mostly stalks bugs, but he is learning.
I hope that wherever you are right now, you are eating many faces and having good times.
