Arc: Struggles of Stromgarde

I remain tied to the Jade Forest, but I’ll stay informed and expect updates without delay. You have my trust.

Chain of Command:

Corvin Trent — you are acting Cobalt Company commander in the Highlands. Take Cloudskimmer and Lord Falrevere to Stromgarde Keep and establish a base of operations. From there, carry out the following:

Reinforce Velrin. Lady Trollbane’s safety is your first and last duty. Velrin, you have been splitting your time between Stromgarde and Felwood — that will continue. You need not remain at Lady Trollbane’s side at all times, but when Webster, Cloudskimmer, Lord Falrevere, and Trent arrive, they will reinforce you so that you can travel as needed. Until then, remain in Stromgarde and prioritize the Lady’s security. If Stromgarde Keep becomes unsafe, you must extract Lady Trollbane to Refuge Pointe as your backup plan.

Root out infiltrators. There are Syndicate snakes already inside the Keep. Trent, Cloudskimmer, and Lord Falrevere will hunt them down. Question the kitchens, the stables, and every hanger-on. Trust nothing unvetted.

Investigate the Forsaken camp. Their banner has been lowered. Find out why. This is strictly a reconnaissance mission — do not engage them unless absolutely necessary. If engaged, disengage and withdraw — do not escalate. The Forsaken are not our priority. Information is. I want to know if they have gone rogue or if they too have been infiltrated by the Syndicate.

Prisoner Handling and Movements:

Webster, Shun — you will escort Leif to Stormwind and turn him over to SI:7 and Mathias Shaw directly for containment and interrogation. Strip the Syndicate of every secret he knows before he ends up like Jerem. If Windward moves to silence him during transport, take Windward alive if possible. If not, leave nothing of them behind.

Once Leif has been safely conveyed to Stormwind, Shun — you will escort Webster to Stromgarde Keep. Ensure she arrives unharmed. Once she is delivered, you are to return directly to the Jade Forest to rejoin the forward squads.

Webster — when you reach Stromgarde Keep, you will join Trent, Cloudskimmer, and Lord Falrevere in:

Vetting Stromgarde Keep of infiltrators.

Protecting Lady Trollbane.

Know this: your presence in Stromgarde may draw the Syndicate into the open. It may also make them more desperate to act. If they overplay their hand in trying to strike at you, they will be revealed. You will not be standing alone — you will have the full guard of Velrin, Cloudskimmer, Lord Falrevere, and Trent to see you through it. They may already know your name. Let them come.

General Orders:

No food, drink, or message reaches our people unexamined. The Syndicate deals in poison and shadows — deny them both.

Windward’s name has turned up before near Honor Hold in Outland. Whether they’ve returned or send killers in their place, treat the threat as present.
