The Horde has left an occupying force at Northwatch but began a massed southward march yesterday afternoon. They appear to have marched through the night; at their current pace, General Twinbraid at Fort Triumph anticipates their arrival — if not engagement — by this evening. Triumph is the sole fortified outpost remaining between the Horde’s present location and an overland approach to Theramore. All intelligence indicates that Theramore is their ultimate target.
Civilian evacuation from Theramore Isle is nearly complete. The last vessels will depart by sunset. Fortifications on the Isle remain underway, but they have amassed a substantial Alliance force at this point.
General Twinbraid reports that Fort Triumph is fully prepared for the defense; he is confident that if they cannot break the Horde’s march, they can at least hold off the advance for a couple of days to buy Theramore further time.
The Horde ships have dropped anchor a short distance north of declared Theramore waters. They are visible from the Isle, but have made no move from their present position for two days. It is likely that, as at Northwatch, Hellscream intended a coordinated assault by land and sea and instructed his fleet to wait. Unfortunately for them, his army’s delay allowed the 7th Legion time to take up position between his ships and the Isle for the blockade.
Matters appear to be under control. Lady Jaina remains in direct communication with His Majesty.

Yes to both. In addition, the Kirin Tor has sent mages to the city’s defense, including Archmage Rhonin himself. They are prepared to stave off any attempt to recreate the events at Northwatch.

If the Horde ships are in range of the 7th Legion, why have we not simply engaged them? They lack overland support and are certainly no match for any of our ships, even if they are being sailed by 7th Legion rather than navy.

Because the King has not declared war, attacking the Horde fleet at this point would be tantamount to doing so, and the 7th Legion actually understands rules of engagement. Lady Jaina has requested aid to the defense of Theramore, but that the Alliance refrain from aggression of our own.

We will pray they aren’t called for, but Taylor, put both of your vessels en route. Send them south to the mouth of the Thousand Needles gulf and have them hold there for His Majesty’s command. We will reassess the situation tomorrow re: Fallon’s ships.
