Dear Madam,

Please forgive this unexpected correspondence. I assure you, I am as surprised by it as you undoubtedly are. Not in my wildest imaginings did I dream I would be spending my afternoon drafting a letter on behalf of some pale, wild woman with leaves in her hair and what I can only surmise was blood on her chin.

The woman in question, a night elf very much in need of a proper wardrobe, accosted me on the road, bursting forth from the brush and spooking my horse. Fortunately I am an excellent rider and was able to regain control of the poor creature.

She approached boldly and thrust a crumpled letter toward me. I was thankful to have an object to focus my gaze on, rather than the impropriety of her state of dress. I assumed she wanted me to read it, and given her feral appearance and the aforementioned blood, I felt compelled to cooperate.

I can only assume the woman is the Imrolane Palemoon mentioned in your correspondence. I gathered from your writing that there is some manner of crisis in a place called Surwich Village. I am unfamiliar with it, but I offer my prayers and best wishes in your efforts to manage the situation.

This Imrolane demanded that I "write words" and continuously pointed to herself, repeating "I go, I go". Her mastery of Common seems limited at best, but I believe she was trying to convey that I should write to you and inform that she intends to come to you.

I cannot say for certain if I interpreted her correctly. She did insist on following me until we found a post box and watching me send this letter to you. That seemed to satisfy her, after which she shockingly transformed before my eyes into some sort of large, white wolf or cat — I honestly could not tell for certain which — and darted back into the wilds from whence she manifested.

This experience has been most distressing, but I suppose I shall at least have an interesting story to tell for years to come.

Best of luck and Light be with you,

Regilan T. Wallerton
