Duchess Avrenne Esprit Fallon Admiral Siamus Fallon

September 16th, Year 28

My dearly esteemed Vice Admiral,

Scientifically speaking, I can only imagine all the sorts of wonders you have explored, and what oceanic progress has been made with this blend of newly accessible magical ability and availability to those with expertise in the matters, and I have the greatest of hopes for what it may mean for the future in general, as well as what this will do to entice more of the Broken and the Draenei shamans to the Navy with proper gratitude for their abilities.

Calls and whispers from the deep does perhaps understandably provoke some sense of concern in me, but I trust that your precautions are for the best, and I am certain that if they were of the Tidemother that you would know, and recognize Her voice, and I do truly and fervently hope that you do hear Her while you are there, Her own true whispers speaking louder than what dark old whispers linger in those abyssal places.

Ample space within Stormwind City has been an ongoing difficult challenge, even for myself, and I have made some overtures for acquiring the lot next to the lake house, which may take some time to come to fruition, but I have secured the lake house property in full. We may wish to renovate the lake house itself, as I have some concerns about the materials used initially, which could be vastly improved on, but I must admit I am loath to draw in any lumber sources into the project at present. Allotments of materials management in general has continued to prove more vexing than invigorating, and I have more often than not found myself fulfilling my promise of appropriate exercise for my health in pacing for hours through the house, until I’m rather pink in the face.

Clocks in Fallon House have gone up by one, by the way, as Shine has most generously and graciously made me my own personal pocket watch, a truly beautiful piece, which I expect is likely in sync with your own being of the same maker, a thought that I find comforting with the current state of the white sea stalk blossom as it is. Since that time, I have been keeping up with my Billiards lessons, and I am pleased to report that as of our last game on the 5th, I feel rather confident that I am coming to a point to play genuinely enough to win at an endgame of two cushion, and we simply won’t speak of how sometimes when I close my eyes I see a little red ball and various formulae. Carom billiards isn’t the only matter Shine and I discussed, and I expect that in the matter of Miss Coit’s search for a partner, I could be rather close to another endgame, as it seems Miss Coit has an interested party of whom you and I both approve, and now we need only wait for her own interest to assert itself as a choice when she next returns to the house.

Fjord threading news wise, I came recently into the unhappy knowledge that there have been missing ships of Gilneans expected to arrive in Kalimdor that have been at last located, but with tragic news: the ships were wrecked on the coast by Nethergarde Keep, with loss of life and generally most of the cargo they carried, and they suspect that more might have wrecked along the southern cape. Naturally, an inquest is being made into the people who may have been on board, but as it was a matter of refugees fleeing calamity, there are likely no organized manifests, and it may be that the names may need to be through a process of elimination of missing persons who have not arrived, a matter that I intend to see Lady Kenelly’s worgen organization take front and center as part of the Gravehowl’s foray into the public eye.

As I expect Ralaea’s letter has likely now reached you (she sent it by regular post, which I expect caused some delay) and at least some sense of the direction of her own gift, I shall say that I have taken the liberty of having Lady Alwynneria assemble the legal documents as necessary, and they will await your final perusal and signature.

Images of the twins (that you may visualize now as two bananas, as long as those bananas are around 10 inches long and 300 grams each) are apparently clearer by the week, and my physician is certain that in two more weeks, they will be clear enough to get a sense of the gender(s) of the babies, and so I had the thought that you may be able to perhaps take a day to see to all three children, on the 2nd of October, though I am aware naturally that the changing circumstances of the situation may set any number of plans awry, and will of course send word of the results of the medical examination should you be unable to attend in person.

Signs of Ery’s abilities are growing by the week as well, enough so that I have had to explain in some detail the nature of them to Emelia, as we have had incidents regarding the summoning of wind within the house that I have been informed she is too young to fully control the impulse to do, or comprehend the precise degree of inappropriate behavior, but I think you will be pleased nonetheless to see how much she has grown and advanced when you next see her (and truth be told I only ever kept that vase out of value of it being possessed by my aunt once removed as a Lordaeron antique, and was never over fond of the appearance itself, being of a shade of yellow that never quite managed to put one in the thought of gold so much as other things).

On another note, I have been pacing myself with the chocolate, which I have appreciated greatly, although I must also admit to you here that the pace has been rather closer to a gallop than a trot, as I find myself not needing any assistance in keeping to my verbal contract to eat sufficiently for the three children my body is currently supporting, and that my other appetite has also been running rather high, but without an outlet for true satisfaction, though I have been diligent about my nightly routine and thoughts of you.

We will have much to discuss thoroughly when I see you next, and it is not only for the good of the Alliance and desire for our successful campaign for Tol Barad that I am hopeful it will be soon, for even though I must speak it plainly, I do miss you a great deal, and think of you often, but I can assure you that I am, as always, well and well pleased within your care here at home.

With all my highest regards and fondest thoughts,
Your wife,
Avrenne Esprit Fallon

PS – I do hope this letter entertains, and if nothing is found on the first watch, you will find it on the second, and though I repeat myself in mathematical twists of seeing double the numbers within my letters, and finding their flowery pages marked with simple, numerical dates, it is truthfully a description of my nature.
