Dear Cobalt Blade,

I want to thank you again for your assistance at the Temple of Atal’Hakkar, without which I am certain the trolls would still be corrupting and slaughtering my kin. Since the crisis there was resolved, I took the egg you rescued and purified back with me to the Wyrmrest Temple in the Dragonblight, and I nestled it safely in the Emerald Sanctum.

My friend Merithra and I then kept an eye on it in case there were any further signs of contamination. I believe your gnomish teammate may recall Merithra, Ysera’s daughter, from her time in Ahn’Qiraj. Merithra was one of the three, with Arygos and Caelestrasz, who were sealed in the ruins back during the War of the Shifting Sands, only recently freed.

In any case, the reason I am writing to you now is with a birth announcement. The egg has hatched into what is, as far as anyone can tell at this stage, a happy and healthy green whelpling. His name is Berinus. As he grows and learns, I will make certain he knows who it was that safeguarded him before his birth, defending both his physical and mental wellness.

He is still too young to be out in the world, but I have enclosed his likeness for you with the aid of some kind of gnomish snapping device that Chromie has provided for me. As you can see, he has already started trying to use his little wings, though he is no expert yet at flight.
