RE: Ocean

Dear Mams and Sir -

I am writing to you from the deck of the ship Voldrin’s Hold to appraise you that all members of Cobalt Company under my command are safe and accounted for. We have been under the ocean for a couple of months. It is a hell of a long story. Suffices to say we were in route to Tol Barad when our ship was attacked by a kraken and sank.

Thanks to the intervention of some shamans of the Earthen Ring who had also sank we were rescued from the nagas (the nagas were behind the whole kraken thing) and enabled to breath and live underwater. Although mostly the living we did in caves with air. But we were ok to breath in the water to.

We encountered a huge operation of nagas who are working with the Twilight Hammer in an effort to enter the elemental plain of water and over throw Neptulon the Tidehunter and replace him with Queen Ashara. (From the Sundering.) The nagas have a whole army of Faceless Ones working with them. There was a bunch of kvaldirs down here to who was at war with the nagas but the nagas beat them with the help of the Faceless Ones.

We also encountered other Alliance ship wreck survivors. The nagas like I said have a whole operation and they were wrecking ships in order to capture people for slaves. They were mining a wild god that is down here. Some kind of huge shell ancient named Nespira. We went inside of her shell to rescue the slaves. It is kind of a whole story.

Among the slaves we rescued was Captain Taylor of the Stormwind SEALF who had been on our ship with us and also an Admiral Dvorek who was apparently in charge of the Alliance navel action at Tol Barad until he also got sank. He was very insistent that we had to have a war with the naga before we could get rescued. As we were a small force limited to the soldiers and auxiliries who happened to be under the ocean (many of who had been slaves for a while and so were not in good condition even aside from the whole being under the ocean thing) this seemed ill advised. Admiral Dvorek none the less was adamant and while I was away from our cave gathering up the stranded and injured from other caves with Ismene and Mr. Brannagen Stillwall and Vindicator Erixa the Admiral decided to launch his attack any way. The members of White Squad apart from me were doing another job in the vicinity for one of the shamans and became embroiled in Admiral Dvorek’s assault.

The badly planned nature of the assault resulted not in the defeat of the nagas but of us. The Alliance force such as it was suffered heavy losses including a retalitory strike by the nagas. None of Cobalt’s people were hurt in the battle and in fact were instrumental in rescuing survivors and taking care of them. Admiral Dvorek how ever was killed himself. Captain Taylor who is much more reasonable took command of the Alliance survivors after that and with a cooperation between Alliance Engineer Hexascrub and our own Niksi Knockfathom we were able to signal the Alliance fleet for rescue.

We are determined not to turn back home how ever because there is still a situation with the nagas and an Old God and some one will need to handle that.

I would like to commend the whole White Squad as well as the Cobalt members who were with us for keeping there heads and doing the kind of good work expected of Cobalt Company.

Miss Lena Coit formerly of Cobalt Company is here with the fleet aboard Vice Admiral Fallon’s ship. The Vice Admiral has said he is happy to have anyone of Cobalt on board the ship who will like to come out to see the situation here and get debriefed and Miss Coit is happy to summon people. The Vice Admiral said he would be especially happy to have you Sir. He knows you have been worried.

On a personal note I am very sorry to worry you and Aunt Nir also. Me and Mizzy are both fine and now safe and we miss you both a shit ton. It has been a long couple of months let me tell you.

Respectfully,
(and love to Sir Elohad),
Lt. Ben Hazan

P.S. If you get summoned out here to the fleet can you bring coffee please? Also like six pair of new socks and a razor.
