Dear Lady Kenelly -

I have had the opportunity to review your proposal, and likewise to speak with Duchess Avrenne Esprit on the matter. I believe it is a fine idea, and you will have whatever support you require of myself and the rest of Gravehowl.

Some thoughts:

  • We should incorporate into our efforts a few non-Gilnean liaisons to the Alliance to serve as representative faces for concerns in both directions. The three that have been proposed to me are: Lord Bertrand Aspenwood for his martial connections; Lord Xandros Demasco, a judicial expert with interest in egalitarian matters; and Duchess Esprit herself for her social and political resources. All three also have some link to Stormwind’s House of Nobles. You may of course take these at your discretion; they were merely suggested to me.
  • I have spoken with Vice Admiral Fallon and intend to speak with Lord Ference at his earliest convenience to discuss military and mercenary opportunities for our people. I agree with Captain Tyrrell and yourself that volunteering to hunt and contain feral worgen would do much to improve perception of us, as well as to distinguish us from the ferals. I continue to recommend that S.I. Thorne be placed in charge of these operations.
  • As to less combat-oriented employment, we might direct the willing toward the former “Plaguelands” of Lordaeron, where our harvest-witches can help cleanse the land and our people thus inclined might begin to farm and cultivate the countryside. Our people’s immunity to the plague recommends us for this rehabilitative work, just as our inability to be cursed a second time makes us uniquely qualified to hunt ferals. This has the added benefit of removing potential for our people to be viewed as “competition” for land and employment by southerners who are themselves displaced and seeking same.

On the matter of a name, I would propose the Gilnean Public Advisory Committee, or the Gilnean PAC. As we discussed the other afternoon, a pack suggests a bond of deep kinship among our people; the Gilnean PAC would offer a broader circle of kinship, one that welcomes all of us.

Respectfully,
Lukas Rhenardt
Lord Graves
