Dear Cobalt Eye Friends,

I’ve got Captain Jo to send this out with her copy magic, so I hope you all get a copy. If not, I will complain. Also, I will know because you will not be there at the meeting point, and I will then send you a letter directly without fiddly magic.

Okay, so I should explain why I am sending a letter. I’ve had word of a problem back home that seems like it is a thing our team might be able to help with. The Hinterlands have always had troll problems, mostly tribes affiliated with the Amani. Things have been pretty quiet for a while, but it seems like the Vilebranch are acting up again.

Nobody really knows what they’re up to, but there’s been a lot of activity in their biggest city, Jintha’Alor. They’d like somebody to go in and poke around, see if they can figure things out. I don’t think we’ll be dressing up as trolls, though, don’t worry. I could ask my brother Donnall, but I don’t think any of the shamans have enough magic to make us all look trollish. We’ll probably just have to fight a bit, on our way in and out. But we can try to do it as quiet-like as we can.

I’d also like you all to get to see my homeland a little. Let’s meet up at Refuge Pointe and we can ride there together? A friend of mine, Claira, will be at Aerie Peak to brief us all more thoroughly and send us on our way.
