Eulysses Reeve Admiral Siamus Fallon

Siamus replies to Eulysses' letter.

Captain Reeve,

I trust this letter finds you well. I am in receipt of your own letter of 14 July, and I ask your pardon for the unfortunately unavoidable delay in my response.

I will first of all assure you that I harbor no animosity toward your people — which is to say, both the Gilnean people in general but also specifically those Gilneans afflicted like yourself. Quite apart from your commendable personal history of support for the Alliance, it seems to me that whatever grievance lay between Gilneas and her sister nations, the Gilnean people have paid a dear price for it. It would be unbecoming to the might and spirit of the Alliance to begrudge a former ally’s wholehearted return to the fold, particularly at so perilous a time for us all, when our collective strength should be brought to bear.

Mr. Shine did well in directing you to me. Subsequent to the losses of both Gilneas and then Kul Tiras from the fold, the Alliance has found its naval power sorely diminished. Stormwind’s fleet has proved – if I may be candid – insufficient to the task, and that was even before our losses in Northrend and to the recent elemental upheaval.

As a Tirasian-born former officer of Proudmoore’s Fleet who has given his own allegiance to Stormwind and the Alliance, I have undertaken as a new member of the House of Nobles to see to the resurrection of a Grand Alliance Fleet. We have a number of initiatives underway to that end, including advancements in ship design, recruitment of draenei navigators and shamans, and the training of a new Stormwind marine unit, the Stormwind Elite Aquatic and Land Forces.

What we lack, sadly, is actual ships, and skilled marines to man them.

I would be very pleased to meet with you at your earliest convenience to discuss bringing you into the fleet that sails under my personal command. I have extant ships in need of experienced hands, as well as new vessels launching in the next months. Advise me as to a time that suits, and I will arrange the meeting.

If you are aware of any of your countrymen with similar maritime experience who might be seeking employ, please do apprise them as well of the opportunity. You would have Stormwind’s gratitude as well as my own.

Best regards,
Vice Admiral Siamus Fallon
