The team reconvenes in Blackrock Mountain at the Shadowforge Lock.

[Thalstan]: Alright, here's that lock ye were studyin'.

[Tadget]: It's a good thing one of us is an engineer.
[Tadget]: I can't tell you how many times when I was in the 7th people just assumed I was the engineer. Hmph.

[Thalstan]: That's prejudice, that is.

[Tadget]: Right, it'd be like someone assuming you had a big bushy beard.

[Vesyllah]: Bastards.

[Thalstan]: Exactly! An' jus' cause I do, it means nothin'!

Tadget giggles.

[Thalstan]: I mean, it means I'm pretty good lookin', but other than tha'.

Tadget winks slyly at you.
[Tadget]: Speaking of which, how are things going with your giiiiirrrrlfriiiiend?

Thalstan smiles, rustling his mustache. It is maybe telling that he knows who Tadget is referring to. "She did some work wi' my gun."

[Tadget]: I bet she did.

[Thalstan]: Back to the lock, Art, think ye can get it open?

[Arthur]: Alright! I think the counterfeit gearkey will work. if it doesn't, I have another prototype. so let's try it.

Tadget cheers at Arthur!

Arthur pulls out a contraption. It's a key, but..the teeth spin. It's peculiar.

[Arthur]: Here we go!

The lock begins to spin.

[Arthur]: Whoa!

[Thalstan]: Oh, that's done it!

[Tadget]: Whoa.

[Arthur]: I — oh, there, it stopped

[Tadget]: That was cool.

[Vesyllah]: Oh good. It spun.

Lock open, Thalstan proudly decides to display the work Oranna’s done on his gun.

Thalstan holds out his literal gun, for Tadget to see.

This isn’t a metaphor. It’s a rifle. This is a family-friendly adventure.

[Tadget]: Put that thing away, Thalstan.

[Vesyllah]: We don't need those kind of details, Thal.

[Thalstan]: What? Ye see this here at th' sights? I'll ne'er be a sniper like she is, but I bet it'll help wi' the aim.

[Zaara]: Cooooool.

Tadget yawns sleepily at you.

[Zaara]: We are looking at Thalstan's gun? Is it very nice?

[Tadget]: Yeah, his actual gun. Boooo-ring….

Vesyllah smirks.

[Tadget]: Thalstan's gun is pretty long, at least. Though not as long as Art's staff.

[Thalstan]: Oh yeah, you should see her gun!
[Thalstan]: It's a right work of art.

[Vesyllah]: I bet it is.

[Tadget]: Ruining the metaphor, Thal.

[Zaara]: I am sorry they say your gun is boring, Thalstan. I am sure it matters only how well you use it.

Tadget cackles maniacally at Zaara.

Arthur gives Vesyllah water.

Vesyllah bows before Arthur.
Vesyllah bows her head reverently to Arthur as she accepts the Gift of Water. "Shaha lor'ma dula Luvas'alith."

[Thalstan]: Anyway, we spent a lot o' time down in her workshop, so I think she didn't find my gun too boring.

[Tadget]: You're both boring.

[Vesyllah]: Did you shoot it for her? Or did she make that happen?

Arthur just gets that "I'm not saying anything, not a word" expression on his face.

Tadget cackles maniacally at Vesyllah.
Tadget winks slyly at Arthur.
Tadget thanks Arthur.

Thalstan chuckles. He gets the joke. Right?
[Thalstan]: We were in a workshop, so there was no shootin' this time. It would ha' scared her cat, for one thing.

Vesyllah snickers.

[Zaara]: Oh, you must be careful with a cat! They are so sensitive.

[Thalstan]: Aye!

[Vesyllah]: Yes. Take good care of her kitty, Thal.

[Thalstan]: An' hers is more of a snow leopard, if ye know what I mean.

[Vesyllah]: I don't, but now I'm curious.

Tadget is just about choking to death from laughing.

[Thalstan]: I mean she's a hunter sort, keeps wild animals. *Thal smiles innocently*

[Zaara]: Her cat is wild? How exciting!

[Vesyllah]: She sounds pretty fun. Better treat her right or I might steal her away.

[Tadget]: She used to be super in love with me.
[Tadget]: But it's good she's moving on.

Thalstan smiles. "I'll treat her nice. But I'd no' say she's my girlfriend. More a friend."

[Tadget]: A friend. Who is a girl. Who spends a lot of time fussing over your gun.

[Thalstan]: Aye, exactly. Ye've got it.

[Vesyllah]: So…your girlfriend.

Tadget giggles at Vesyllah.

[Thalstan]: I'm hoping she'll have an easier time of it after this, too. Once Moira's forgiven 'er for bein' part of the husband killin'.

[Tadget]: I'd forgotten that she was involved in all that.
[Tadget]: Oopsie poo.

[Thalstan]: Aye, it was unfortunate.

[Vesyllah]: So, this will help her relax. Does that mean what we're really doing here is helping Thalstan get laid?

[Tadget]: A worthy quest.

Vesyllah shrugs. Can't really argue with that.

Thalstan smiles hopefully."Or at least ta help a friend, if no'."

[Tadget]: Ugh, you're such a nice guy.
[Tadget]: Gross.

[Vesyllah]: Seriously, Thal. There's nothing wrong with trying to get busy.

[Thalstan]: What? She's also a gorgeous lass. I'm sure ye've seen her hair, and her… *Thalstan gestures roughly around his chest area*

[Zaara]: I have not!

[Vesyllah]: Never met her.

[Thalstan]: Ach, ye ought to.

[Tadget]: I have definitely seen all of those things.
[Tadget]: She sure has some… things. To see.

[Thalstan]: She'd look righ' at home on a book cover, is all I'm sayin'.

[Zaara]: Can you describe? I can not see. What are these things?

[Vesyllah]: Or under your covers.

Thalstan chuckles at Vesyllah.

[Tadget]: Mabye I'll get Ozmatoz to add her into one of the Cobalt Blade illustrated novels. Or ilnovs, as I have taken to calling them, and I'm sure will become a thing.
[Tadget]: I can describe the things for you Zaara.
[Tadget]: I might need to describe in a somewhat tactile way. Just to help you, you understand.

[Zaara]: Okay!

Tadget walks up to Zaara and attempts to HONK HONK.

Zaara jumps a little.
[Zaara]: Oh!

[Tadget]: Those things!
Tadget cackles maniacally at the situation.
[Tadget]: Sorry for startling you.

[Thalstan]: Hers are top-notch.

[Tadget]: I attempted to warn you, but I was perhaps too subtle, as is my wont.

[Thalstan]: Anyhow…

[Zaara]: Oooooh.

Tadget has never been subtle a day in her life.

Luckily, the conversation is derailed by their arrival in the garrison, where the general awaits.

[Thalstan]: Looks like our general's down there, ta kill and take the battle plans. General Furysmith.
[Thalstan]: Let's make sure we're all ready, 'fore we take him on.

[Tadget]: Yeah, I need to get my mind off of… things.

[Thalstan]: Too much thoughts on those things, no' enough on killin'?

[Tadget]: Focus, Tadget.
[Tadget]: I think it is pretty clear that my name is bestowed by marriage rather than deeds. I am not the sharpest gear in the box.

[Thalstan]: Is it good ta be a sharp gear? I'd think it might no' fit as well wi' the other gears.

[Tadget]: You need brute force though? Applied in a particularly expert manner? I'm your gal.

[Zaara]: You are blunt gear!

[Tadget]: It's a metaphor, Thalstan.
[Tadget]: Yes. I am a very blunt gear.

[Thalstan]: Okay, okay. Tons of metaphors today.

[Tadget]: That in and of itself is a metaphor.
[Tadget]: As metaphors weigh nothing.
[Tadget]: So, metaphorical tons.

[Thalstan]: Okay, let's take out the general. That one is no' a metaphor. It's brute force in an expert manner.

We apply some brute force in an expert manner.

General Furysmith cries out an alarm!

All sorts of soldier spill into attack our little strike team. Luckily we’re really deadly. Still, it takes a while. Furysmith is tough. Finally, only the Cobalt Blade are left standing.

[Tadget]: That guy really did not want to die.

[Vesyllah]: Tough bastard.

[Tadget]: It's nicer when they just expire immediately.

[Zaara]: Many people do not like to die.

[Tadget]: Weird, right?

[Thalstan]: He had a lot o' underlings. Did not expec them ta swarm him like that.

[Tadget]: Gotta love loyal underlings.
[Tadget]: Wonder where they sell those…

[Thalstan]: Heh. The Twilight store, mayhap.

[Zaara]: Underthings?

Tadget cackles maniacally at the situation.

[Zaara]: They sell these many stores.

[Vesyllah]: Yes. Underthings. Tell us about yours, Zaara.

[Tadget]: I bet those creeps DO have some superstore for all their creepy cult stuff.
[Tadget]: The Twilight Zone.

Thalstan glances through the papers he got off the general.

[Zaara]: Oh I do not wear the underthings now. It is so hot in here!

[Vesyllah]: That's…definitely hot.

Zaara nods gravely.

Tadget blinks at Zaara.
[Tadget]: Super hot.

Vesyllah eyes Zaara up and down. Mostly down.

[Thalstan]: Oh, aye? No underlings?
Thalstan may have been distracted by battle plans. He can regret that later.
[Thalstan]: Well, anyway. Twilight Hammer and Dark Iron domination of the Eastern Kingdoms. Good thing we're here ta nip that in the bud.

Arthur makes that not saying anything face again.

We move on into a manufactory full of golems and Twilight Hammer gnomes.

Tadget sighs at Weapon Technician.
[Tadget]: I always hate it when gnomes pick the wrong side.
[Tadget]: There are not enough of us for them to be throwing their lives away by pissing me off.

[Vesyllah]: It feels wrong.

[Thalstan]: I suppose some o' them must ha' gone in despair after Gnomeregan.
[Thalstan]: Twilight's Hammer seems ta attract those in despair, I think.

We fight our way through and find their leader.

[Thalstan]: Oh, here's the fella! Garglemargel… or something.
[Thalstan]: The golem one.

[Tadget]: I hate golems.

[Zaara]: Gargarmargar.

[Tadget]: They hurt my stabbing hands.

Golem Lord Argalmal says: Intruders in the Manufactory? My constructs will destroy you!

His constructs do not, as it happens, destroy us.

Tadget cheers!

[Thalstan]: Well, Gargle did no' last long, even with his golems.

We come around a corner and find a human priestess.

Mayara Brightwing says: Hello! You're not Dark Irons!

[Vesyllah]: Neither are you.

Mayara Brightwing says: No, indeed not. I'm with the Morgan's Militia. I'm here to help clear out the Twilight's Hammer!

[Zaara]: But we are doing that. Are you doing that?

[Tadget]: Looks like this is your lucky day.

Mayara Brightwing says: I… was? Are you here to help?

[Tadget]: We're here to WIN.

Mayara Brightwing says: Well, then. I'm sure you are up to the task I have for you if you've made it this far in one piece.

[Tadget]: We're the Cobalt Blade.
Tadget does the pose.

[Zaara]: We are five pieces.

Mayara Brightwing says: Oh, then you certainly should be!
Mayara Brightwing says: But…
Mayara Brightwing lowers her voice to a whisper.
Mayara Brightwing says: Just in case, you may want to enjoy yourself in the Grim Guzzler while you're there. It could be the last drink you ever have.

[Thalstan]: What's the Grim Guzzler?

[Tadget]: Finn and I had the most amazing date there…. *sighs*

[Thalstan]: Oh, aye? It's a… date spot?

[Tadget]: Sorta.

Mayara Brightwing says: I suppose you could call it that.
Mayara Brightwing says: I would say the Grim Guzzler is the secret to the Dark Iron war effort. Their warriors recharge there and emerge thirsty for another innocent soul.

[Thalstan]: Tha's no' what you an' Finn were doin' though, aye?

[Tadget]: ….. Definitely not.
[Tadget]: >.> <.<

Mayara Brightwing says: I don't want to tarnish good memories, but… I think we can seriously hinder them by causing a bit of chaos here.

[Tadget]: Chaos is my specialty. Or more accurately, MAYHEM.

Mayara Brightwing says: Mayhem would be perfect!

[Zaara]: We bring Mayhem, yes.

[Arthur]: Ma'am, are you proposing that we cause a bar brawl?

Zaara points in Tadget's general direction.

Mayara Brightwing says: Exactly, so! I need you to start a fight with three of the bar's infamous patrons.

[Tadget]: Just a little bit of Trouble, as well.

Arthur grins.

Tadget holds her hand up to Art for a high four.

Arthur gives Tadget a high five!

Mayara Brightwing says: Cause them all some trouble and mayhem.
Mayara Brightwing says: Let me tell you how to get them fighting. Damage the kegs and Hurley Blackbreath will come running.
Mayara Brightwing says: Steal items off the tables near Plugger Spazzring and he'll fight. As for Ribbly Screwspigot…just talk to the little hothead. Report to Orfus further on when you're done.

We head into the Dark Iron bar, the Grim Guzzler, where many dwarves are enjoying the ambiance, and a succubus is serving as a barmaid.

Guzzling Patron says: Mistress, you tell Plugger that I want more of his ale. I can't get enough!

Tadget waves at Mistress Nagmara.

That’s the succubus.

Grim Patron says: Hey Nag, how about you slice me off a piece of that…

He is referring to pork, this is not innuendo. But maybe it could be?

[Tadget]: Finn sends his regards.

[Thalstan]: This place seems right nice.
[Thalstan]: Here's the kegs in here.
[Thalstan]: I hate ta damage dwarven ale, but…

Tadget bursts into dance.

[Vesyllah]: Want me to do it?

[Thalstan]: Sure, Ves, go for it.

Vesyllah jams her dagger into the keg, prying open the boards.

Hurley Blackbreath says: You'll pay for that!

Vesyllah makes a rude gesture at Hurley Blackbreath.

[Arthur]: OH NO

We defeat Blackbreath.

[Thalstan]: Alright, that's one. Then Plugger and Ribbly.

Guzzling Patron says: Hey Nagmara! How about a mug of Dark Iron Ale?

[Thalstan]: Ribbly Screwspigot!

Tadget bursts into dance.

[Thalstan]: You're good fer nothin', Ribbly!

//Ribbly and his pals attack. He has a lot of pals. The battle is intense, and includes pretty much the entire lower level of the bar. //

Ribbly Screwspigot says: No! Get away from me! Help!!
Ribbly Screwspigot attempts to run away in fear!

Ribbly is defeated.

Tadget cheers!
[Tadget]: Now that's what I call a bar brawl!

[Thalstan]: Well, that got a reaction. And that's at least cleared some folks out. Now for Plugger.
[Thalstan]: She said ta steal stuff off his table.

We cautiously head upstairs. Thalstan did not walk up and not see the unexpectedly hostile guard and aggro the entire bar. Nope. Definitely didn’t happen.

[Thalstan]: Alright, there's a guard positioned upstairs. I do no' think we can take out the patron without gettin' them first. They're givin' us the stinkeye.

[Arthur]: We can just fight?

[Vesyllah]: Let's give them the stab-eye.

[Thalstan]: Aye, let's stab 'em.

We attack the hostile guard and do not aggro the entire bar. Only like, maybe a quarter of the bar. We manage to defeat them, and then turn to Plugger who’s serving ale.

Plugger Spazzring says: Enjoy! You won't find better ale anywhere!

[Arthur]: Maybe we should pick his pockets. or Tadget should, I mean

[Thalstan]: Alright, now we pick a fight with Plugger. Aye, Tadget try that.
[Thalstan]: And I'll take the mugs off his table.

[Tadget]: Yessir!

[Thalstan]: We can try to lead him back over by that Dark Iron in the corner. Has the look of the Thorium Brotherhood.

Plugger Spazzring says: Have you tried the Dark Iron Ale? It's the best!

Tadget distracts the little gnome and picks his pocket.

[Thalstan]: Anything good?

Plugger gets very angry.

[Tadget]: Wow, usually I'm better at that.

[Thalstan]: Well. They do no' look friendly out there anymore.

[Arthur]: Okay, I think They didn't like that.

[Tadget]: Sorry, been a while since I tried the subtle stuff.

[Thalstan]: Alright. Let's see if we can lure them back here and take 'em out.
[Thalstan]: When subtle fails, may be stabbing works.

[Arthur]: Right!

It is another massive barfight! Cobalt Blade emerges victorious!

[Thalstan]: That was some good work.
[Thalstan]: The whole room came at us.

We consider the few remaining patrons who have not yet attacked us.

[Thalstan]: Let's clear out these last few.

Now the bar is basically entirely KO-ed. There’s a golem guard, a Phalanx, standing by the back door.

[Thalstan]: Think we can just walk past?

Vesyllah greets Phalanx with a hearty hello!

Arthur greets Phalanx with a hearty hello!

It doesn’t stop us walking by.

[Thalstan]: Looks like an aye.

[Vesyllah]: Guess so.

Up ahead is someone with the distinct look of a Bronzebeard or Wildhammer dwarf. Anyway, he doesn’t have the skin tone or red eyes of a Dark Iron.

[Thalstan]: Oh look! That fella's not a Dark Iron.

Tadget eyes Mountaineer Orfus up and down.

[Thalstan]: Hello, friend! You with Morgan's team?

[Tadget]: I like your lack of red eyes, sir.

Mountaineer Orfus says: Aye, I am. Mountaineer Orfus.

[Thalstan]: Yer here ta fight Dark Irons?

Mountaineer Orfus says: The Dark Irons took our Thunderbrew. I'll never let them live after that. I'd kill 'em all myself if I could!
Mountaineer Orfus says: However, look ahead and you'll see we have slightly more dire matters to attend to at the moment.

[Arthur]: Hmm? Oh.

[Tadget]: Oh boy. I love dire matters.

Arthur eyes Ambassador Firewhip.

Mountaineer Orfus says: I’m guessing you’re here as we are, to take out that rogue senator. Unfortunately, the path to him is well-protected. Ahead is the creature known only as Ambassador Firewhip.

[Tadget]: Kinky.

[Thalstan]: Aye, I see him.

[Zaara]: I do not!

Mountaineer Orfus says: Well, if yer into elemental snakey creatures…

Tadget giggles at Zaara.

Mountaineer Orfus says: Anyway. I’ve heard their latest elemental leader, Archduke Calcinder, got banished back to the elemental plane, but Firewhip here is still trying to connect them back to Ragnaros and the others.

[Tadget]: Too soon.

[Arthur]: He looks like a … fire Naga? are those a thing?

[Thalstan]: Yeah, remember what Calcinder looked like? Proper fire naga creature.

Mountaineer Orfus says: And that's not all. Beyond that chamber is the Summoners' Tomb, home to the spirits of the seven Dark Iron patriarchs who once summoned Ragnaros into our world.
Mountaineer Orfus says: You’ll likely have to fight your way through them - spirits can be dissipated, but they always reassemble.

[Vesyllah]: Neat.

[Arthur]: Fun.

[Thalstan]: Ghosts. *Thal shakes his head in annoyance.* We can handle ghosts.

Mountaineer Orfus says: Past there, I hope you’ll find Marshall Maxwell still alive. He carried on ahead while I held the route out here.

[Thalstan]: Good job holdin' the route, sir.

Mountaineer Orfus says: Thank ye. I'm gonna stay here an' make sure all make it out alright.

[Thalstan]: Okay, ready ta put an end to kinky Firewhip?

We put an end to Firewhip.

[Thalstan]: He was no' so bad. To the ghosts?
Tadget salutes Thal with respect.
[Tadget]: What are the chances this Marshal guy is still alive?

[Thalstan]: We've found none dead so far.

[Tadget]: They do seem pretty sturdy.

[Thalstan]: They seem good at keepin' themselves alive. Jus' no' so good at stoppin' the Twilight's Hammer.

[Thalstan]: Golems!

[Tadget]: Not a fan.

[Thalstan]: The big one wi' lava was more fun.

[Tadget]: Stabbing them makes my teeth rattle.

[Thalstan]: Here's the ghosts.

[Tadget]: Ghosts of !@#$%^&s.

[Thalstan]: How d'ye reckon we get 'em ta fight?
[Thalstan]: Talk to em?

Tadget shrugs at you. Who knows?

[Vesyllah]: Since Dark Irons are so reasonable when alive?

[Thalstan]: Doom'rel! I challenge you!

Doom'rel says: You have challenged the Seven, and now you will die!

[Thalstan]: No, YOU will… um.

We defeat all seven ghosts.

Thalstan strikes a pose.

Arthur gently pats Battle Chicken.

[Thalstan]: Defeated! By a chicken! And the Cobalt Blade.

Beyond this room, we find a human guy! A living human guy! These militia people are pretty tough.

[Thalstan]: Marshal Maxwell? We're the Cobalt Blade, here to help.

Marshal Maxwell says: Thank the Light!
Marshal Maxwell says: I cannot proceed any further alone, regardless of my combat experience. The Lyceum has proven too difficult for me. If you are here, though…you might be the key to all of this.
Marshal Maxwell says: Senator Koldan Starkmantle has total control over the city from the old throne room ahead. If we are to stop his plans, the only way to do it is by killing him.

[Thalstan]: Total domination of the Eastern Kingdoms and breakin' into the elemental plane, aye. We'll need ta stop it.

Marshal Maxwell says: You'll need to get past his personal guard, including the giant Lavus, to reach him. Move as quickly as possible - if word gets out before you finish, the entire city will descend upon his throne.

The Lyceum is, as usual, kinda intense. Lots of people attack us as we light the fires to open the doors.

[Tadget]: We do attract crowds, don't we.

[Thalstan]: We do!

However, we make it across with no major mishaps.

[Thalstan]: That was no' so bad.

Tadget giggles at you.

[Thalstan]: An' now… Another lava giant.

Tadget sighs at Lavus.

We defeat Lavus.

Tadget cheers at Lavus!

We enter the throne room, where Senator Starkmantle has taken over Moira’s throne! He’s surrounded by sycophants and Twilight emissaries.

[Thalstan]: And here he is, Senator Starkmantle.
[Thalstan]: Lot of Twilight's Hammer here in his advisors.

We start attacking the Twilight Emissaries, and one flees to Starkmantle, pulling him into the fight. It is a pitched battle, but Cobalt Blade comes out triumphant. Senator Starkmantle is no more.

Tadget was super amazing in the battle.
Tadget moved so fast no one even saw her stabbing.

[Thalstan]: Whew, that puts an end to Senator Koldan Starkmantle.
[Thalstan]: An' I hope puts an end to their conquest, and their Twilight's Hammer stuff.

[Vesyllah]: Credit where it's due…he did not go down easy.

[Thalstan]: And I reckon this might be appreciated by a certain lass with a wild cat.
[Thalstan]: Or at least, hope it makes her life easier.

[Tadget]: I'm sure she and her cat will be very grateful.

We head back to Marshal Maxwell.

[Thalstan]: Happy ta report Starkmantle is no more. An nor are any of his Twilight advisors.

Marshal Maxwell says: You've done it! You've actually done it! Morgan's years of planning and waiting have finally come to fruition. With the death of Starkmantle, our agreement with Moira is complete.

[Tadget]: As always, Cobalt Blade gets the job dones.

[Arthur]: It's what we do.

Marshal Maxwell says: I can see that!
Marshal Maxwell says: Morgan may have lost her land and family when Ragnaros tore this land asunder, but with our agreement with Moira Thaurissan, we'll be able to safely build a new kingdom of our own in the Burning Steppes.
Marshal Maxwell says: Not even the Firelord himself will be able to breech the capital's walls! Make sure you come back someday when we've finished, you'll be our guests of the highest honor. I thank you with all my heart.

Tadget was happy to help Marshal Maxwell.

[Thalstan]: We'll be sure ta do that. I think we'd like bein' guests of the highest honor.

Tadget mouths 'free booze'

Marshal Maxwell says: Well, I'll start working back the way I came, and making sure all my people get out safely.
Marshal Maxwell says: Can you all find your way from here?

Vesyllah nods.

[Tadget]: We can. And gotta say, your guys are pretty tough.

[Arthur]: Well, there we go. Portal to…Ironforge?

[Tadget]: Sure thing Art.

Marshal Maxwell says: Thanks. Ours is a long struggle, but one I hope that has come to an end. A good end.

Tadget thanks Arthur.

[Vesyllah]: Let's get out of this heat, please. Zaara needs her underthings.

[Thalstan]: And thanks Art!

[Zaara]: Yes please!

[Thalstan]: Dismissed fer now, Cobalt Blade. We did good work in there!
