Dear Mr. Lord Sir Elohad:

I am writing to inform you of our progress in Westfall, where 'our' means me, Birdie, Ozmatoz, Slicket, and Natlee. Upon arriving at Westfall, the first thing we saw was a murder. Mr. and Mrs. Furlbrow and their horse were killed. (The horse's name was Ol' Blanchy.) (There's no d.) (I checked.)

These people are in terrible shape. Some of them are eating dirt to survive, some are having hallucinations, they get into fights over who gets to stand on what piece of ground, and when someone's unconscious, children run in to steal their possessions. It's very sad.

Birdie gave some people coppers to talk about what they'd seen. That pointed us to some murlocs (who didn't talk but they did have a ratty piece of paper that had some kind of manifesto printed on it) and some gnolls (who also didn't talk but they had scraps of red fabric). They also talked about rich people and blamed King Varian but we didn't go talk to any rich people. Or the King. One person mentioned Johnny Law, but we haven't been able to locate him.

We then talked to Two-Shoed Lou who has two shoes which is uncommon here. He said if we hid in a box in the back of a cave we would hear something interesting, so we did. An ogre met up with a human woman and they talked about something called 'the dawning'. We have a picture of the meeting that Ozmatoz drew, but we were in a box and all we could really see was the back of the ogre looking up, so mostly the butt part. I include it here for posterity. Or should I say posterior-ity? Ha ha.

We overheard some thugs talking about meeting up with a mysterious woman who paid them to kill the Furlbrows but we weren't able to ask them questions as they attacked us and we defended ourselves extremely well.

Then someone murdered Mr. Lou but no one saw anything. We're now staying with the Saldean's. Birdie is making more stew to feed everyone, which will be better than the mud pie a lady made using dirt and coyote tails. She didn't want the rest of the coyotes. There are harvest golems running amok and I'm not allowed to study them much, which is disappointing. Slicket is great at standing in front of us all and taking hits, and I think he likes Natlee. Natlee says I have rugged cuticles which doesn't seem related to the case, but maybe it is a good thing for people to know about me, that I am rugged.

I will keep you up to date on our activities.

Sincerely,

Glyphe Tinkerspell
