A reply to Oranna's letter.

Oranna,

You’re welcome anytime at The Thirsty Dragon, and I’ll pass on your compliments to my ma. I can let you know when it’s least busy, so there’s not so much drinking around and more room to talk and laugh and enjoy a good tart. You brighten up the place, and my ma really doesn’t mind that you shot her dream-double in the eye a few times. On the contrary, I think you’ve won her over by enjoying her food and sending her those pears. They made a nice pie.

That’s really interesting, about the Earthen. I’ve not had much contact with them but the ones we ran across in Uldaman, and those were too hostile by half. I’d bet they’re also older than the ones you met in the Storm Peaks, but that’s not a problem for me. I don’t mind folks who’ve had a few more years than I have. Still, maybe I’d like to meet your Storm Peaks Earthen someday, and you and I could both show them different ways to do it of being flesh dwarves.

I’ll ask around and see if anybody I know in Ironforge is looking for a place to rent. Might be some of the dwarves in the company. We’ve got those Wildhammers, like your friend Lireen and her daughter, so I could ask what their living situation’s like. I expect the place is ordinary Ironforge-sized, so maybe a dwarf or a gnome is best. Might be Sharpgear (that’s Lord Springblade, recall) would know a gnome or two who’d be interested.

For my side, I’ve been spending most of my time traveling lately with the Cobalt Blade. I’ve been working on a might-be-magic staff that’ll help us see what direction we ought to go next. It’s all in pieces, though, so it might take a bit of work to get it standing upright. Other than that, I’ve been in Desolace, trying to see how the land’s holding up after the death of the elemental a while back. I hope it’s healing alright, but you know that sort of thing can always take a while.

In any case, I’d be happy to bump into you anytime, and intentionally is better for sure. I hope you won’t be disappointed in my gun - I don’t have as much experience as you with firearms, I’d expect, and I’m no sniper. You’re welcome to come and give it a whirl, all the same, and I’d be interested to see what you’ve done with yours as well.

P.S. The pie would grow cold, and I don’t expect you’d appreciate me including a fish for your lass. I thought this might match your dress well enough, and it’ll smell nicer than an old fish. Picked it up in the Hinterlands while I was there.
