Briyanthe Crim Ragefang Elowel Aro'ephel Ishaya Sweetwater

[Liyen]: Yeah, the place where the blood elf offers free food and bonda… bonding.
[Crimrage]: Are you here for the elf Briyanthe's event as well?
Ishaya smiles. "Oh, good. Yes, Briyanthe, that was the name."
[Ishaya]: I'm Ishaya Sweetwater. Pleased to meet you.
[Liyen]: Liyen, no surname. Delighted.
[Briyanthe]: Greetings! I am Lady Briyanthe of House Roseshine, yes! Please, everyone, come in.
[Crimrage]: I am Crim Ragefang of the Warsong Clan. It is an honor.
Briyanthe Briyanthe awaits for more Horde members to join her little charity meal. She still looks a little tired, but not as much as last time. Her robe is very well-made, if not very well-fitted to her body.
Briyanthe moves inside the building.
Liyen nods at Crimrage. "You, I remember."
[Ishaya]: Oh, the Warsong Clan!
Crimrage grunts
[Liyen]: You were here last time I joined.
[Ishaya]: We haven't met. I'm Ishaya Sweetwater.
Ishaya curtsies before you.
Briyanthe the meal today is a cake made of rice, and containing a mix of spices, egg and chicken.
[Liyen]: What a wonderful-looking meal, Briyanthe, you've outdone yourself.
You bow before Ishaya.
[Crimrage]: It smells good. You have my thanks.
Liyen offers a kind of half-salute in Briyanthe's general direction.
[Briyanthe]: Thank you, Liyen! I assume you still won't share the meal with us this time? I did bring wine and wine glasses for you to hold, as you did the first time you came here. *She smiles.*
Ishaya peers at Liyen searchingly.
[Ishaya]: That is a really nice dress, Liyen.
Ishaya looks almost sad about it.
[Briyanthe]: It's a pleasure to have you join us again, Crim.
Briyanthe does a double take on Liyen's dress.
[Crimrage]: It is an honor to be welcomed here.
[Liyen]: Why, thank you, Ishaya! You look lovely yourself. *Liyen smiles, the motion stretching her face a little awkwardly*
Ishaya does look lovely. I swear.
[Ishaya]: Thank you.
[Ishaya]: So here is my donation for today…
[Liyen]: And yes, Briyanthe, thank you. I do like to accessorize, even if I don't eat and drink.
Liyen smiles at Briyanthe.
Ishaya moves to Briyanthe and hands her an appropriate amount of money. So exactly appropriate it's like she did research or something.
Liyen comes over and gives a few coins this time. If they smell of dirt and the grave, don't mind it. It's not like she dug it up in an abandoned backyard or anything. ha ha anyway.
[Briyanthe]: Thank you very much for your generosity! *She puts a piece of the cake on a plate and hands it to Ishaya.* Wine?
[Ishaya]: Yes thank you. What sort of wine is it?
Ishaya looks very interested in both the cake and the wine.
Liyen holds out a mostly-whole hand for a glass of wine expectantly.
Crimrage discreetly hands over a fairly generous pouch of coins.
[Briyanthe]: Elven red wine! Many vineyards have been… rendered useless in recent times, but you still can manage to get a few good bottles!
Briyanthe doesn't know much about good bottles of wine.
[Ishaya]: Oooh, elven wine… Lovely. Isn't this a nice little group. Look at us. *Ishaya beams serenely.*
Elowel dismounts her horse and strides into the hut, her pretty features tensed in a stern expression.
[Ishaya]: Lady Aro'Ephel!
Liyen keeps her hand outstretched, waiting for a glass of wine.
[Elowel]: Where is the Light-witch who has been trying to steal away my people?!
Briyanthe hands an empty glass of wine to Liyen, then turns to Crim. "Thank you both. Here!" She then serves a glass of wine and a piece of cake to Crimrage.
[Elowel]: Where is the Light-witch who has been trying to steal away my people?!
Ishaya blinks her long-lashed violet-brown eyes and says nothing.
Liyen nods her thanks and proceeds to hold it like she's at some kind of cocktail reception.
Crimrage accepts the food, "Thank you."
Briyanthe 's eyes widen at Elowel's entrance. She proceeds to look around in horror. Is she the Light-witch?!
[Ishaya]: A… Light-witch? Do you mean a priest?
Liyen looks over at Elowel at her words. "Why, if it isn't the boss lady herself! Don't worry, no one steals me without my consent."
Crimrage looks over to see Elowel, "Throm-ka."
[Briyanthe]: Lady Aro'ephel! I-I-I'm honored to have you here with us today!
[Ishaya]: Lady Aro'Ephel, I was coming here on behalf of the Coterie. To meet more people. Did I make a mistake?
[Liyen]: Sometimes a good stealing is just what a person needs, but not today, I think.
Elowel waves her hand at the others. Is that supposed to be a gracious greeting or dismissive? "Yes, yes, hello everyone."
Liyen toasts her with her empty wineglass.
Elowel narrows her eyes at Briyanthe, looking her up and down.
[Elowel]: I know you, don't I?
Elowel quietly judges Briyanthe's attire.
[Briyanthe]: I apologize, I have not introduced myself! I was… taken aback by your entrance! I'm Lady Briyanthe, of House Roseshine.
[Briyanthe]: A… Light-witch trying to steal your people, you said?..
Crimrage stands calmly and watches the exchange between the two elves.
[Elowel]: Roseshine…
[Elowel]: As in Magister Roseshine?
Liyen settles back. This is the socialite drama she was expecting. She watches eagerly.
[Briyanthe]: Yes, indeed! I am not the Magister of the family, however. That would be my brother.
Elowel crosses her arms calmly, her ire seeming to fade a bit.
[Ishaya]: Does everyone here know Lady Aro'ephel? *She looks at Crim in particular*
[Liyen]: I'm in her Coterie, so it'd be quite a shame if I didn't. What about you, Crim Ragefang?
[Crimrage]: I don't. *he sets his food down on the table and beats his chest in greeting* I am Crim Ragefang of the Warsong Clan.
[Ishaya]: A noble clan indeed!
[Briyanthe]: Lady Aro'ephel is the one who helped make a bridge between us Blood Elves and Forsaken, which got us to join the Horde.
[Liyen]: And now we're excellent friends. Get along famously. *Liyen toasts vaguely with her wineglass.*
Crimrage smiles and nods at Ishaya, "I'm glad to hear our reputation proceeds us."
[Ishaya]: And she is the head of a fine and noble mercenary group called the Crimson Coterie, of which Liyen and I are members!
Elowel gives Grim an arched eyebrow…then seems to remember manners…of a sort. "Yes, hello, Crim Rainfang…of the Warsong Clan. I am Lady Elowel Aro'ephel of Silvermoon."
Liyen nods at Ishaya, smiling again.
Elowel peers at Briyanthe. "Very well. Your brother's station has earned you a stay of judgement. But explain yourself, Lady Roseshine. Why are you poaching my people?"
Crimrage nods at Elowel, "It is an honor."
[Ishaya]: What do you mean by poaching, Lady Aro'ephel?
Elowel nods firmly at Crim, very much in agreement that it is an honor to meet her.
Briyanthe looks at Elowel in horror, then turns to Ishaya as she asks the question she wanted to ask.
Ishaya either doesn't know the orcish word, or doesn't think it applies - hard to say.
[Liyen]: Goodness, I'm not sure I want to be poached. Like an egg?
Elowel gestures blithely at the table of food. "I mean all this."
[Ishaya]: …Hosting?
[Elowel]: Trying to lure you into…whatever Light cult she has started.
[Ishaya]: I don't follow the Light. … Don't your people, though, Lady?
[Liyen]: I didn't even donate anything the first time I came. But then again… maybe that's how the poaching starts. And before you know it, you're delicately cooked.
Ishaya looks confused now.
[Briyanthe]: It's… but a… I… It is a… A Light cult?
[Ishaya]: I thought this was just a gathering to get donations to help out the poor.
[Elowel]: Yes, yes…we follow the Light…um…noble tauren.
Crimrage turns to Brianythe, "I don't think she means it so literally."
[Ishaya]: It seemed like a good place to meet people of the Horde who would be interested in honorable mercenary work. So if anyone is poaching, perhaps it's me.
[Elowel]: Help the poor?
[Liyen]: Oh, I don't follow the Light, either, if that's what talking about. It's a bit agonizingly painful, you'll understand. I'm just here for the bonding.
Elowel says this like it's a foreign concept.
[Briyanthe]: I… as a priestess, I do encourage anyone to join me in worship of the Light, but I'm not raising a cult! And yes, these meetings are cultural events to meet as horde members, and to raise money for those who need it, yes!
Briyanthe needs it. She needs to build a church with that money.
[Ishaya]: I heard that people of all the Horde races gather here every other week. It sounded like just the thing for me.
[Crimrage]: I'mm not very familiar with the teachings of the Light. However from what I've heard I am a little curious.
Liyen smiles, looking around at their impressively diverse gathering.
[Ishaya]: Yes, what I've heard is very interesting, and I never mind hearing more.
[Liyen]: Or we could talk more about poaching and betrayal, that's fun.
[Crimrage]: It seems to emphasize training one's strength of will, which is something I firmly believe in.
[Elowel]: All I know is there has been a lot of chit-chat among my mercenaries lately about this lovely priestess and her great generosity. It's all very suspicious
Ishaya nods at Crimrage.
Ishaya smiles at Crimrage.
Crimrage smiles back at Ishaya.
[Ishaya]: Don't worry, Lady Aro'ephel, we're still loyal to you! Well, I am. I assume Liyen is also.
Crimrage regards Elowel curiously, but remains quiet for now.
Ishaya peers at Liyen searchingly.
[Liyen]: If that was me, ma'am, my most humble apologies. I have rather enjoyed these meetings though, and would like to continue attending.
Liyen nods at Ishaya. "That's me, I'm super loyal."
[Ishaya]: Oh yes, please allow us, Lady Aro'ephel, it seems like such a nice gathering.
[Briyanthe]: And I'd be glad to tell you more about the Light, but… I need to clear up some confusion first here, I think… *She turns back to Elowel.* Oh, well, while I'm honored to be considered lovely… I swear none of my intentions here are nefarious.
Ishaya smiles encouragingly at Briyanthe.
Elowel lifts her chin proudly. "Hmm. So you claim you are not establishing a religious following?"
[Ishaya]: It wouldn't work on me, even if she tried, and probably not on our Warsong friend, either.
[Ishaya]: I think you have nothing to worry about, my lady.
Briyanthe pauses, thinking of her answer. "Will I'd be pleased to guide some members of the Horde towards the Light, garnering followers is… not my intention with these meetings."
Elowel squints suspiciously, but as she looks to Ishaya and Liyen her features soften, and she smiles magnanimously.
[Ishaya]: Lady Aro'ephel if I might bring your attention for a moment to the Warsong orc in the extremely fine armor who is patiently listening to and conversing with elves and Forsaken and Tauren alike? He seems like someone worth knowing.
[Crimrage]: I am a shaman so I'm afraid I don't plan on changing my beliefs quite so radically. The spirits have guided me well for many years now.
[Liyen]: And trust me, I don't need anyone else to follow besides the Dar… the Coterie. Of course.
[Elowel]: Very well. My people have spoken on your behalf, Lady Roseshine.
Elowel looks to Crim again, almost as if just noticing him for the first time…again.
Liyen gestures as if she's taking a sip of wine.
[Ishaya]: I am a shaman as well, Ragefang. Do you work with the Earthen Ring as I do, or are you more independent? I don't think I have run into you yet, but I am a bit new to the organization.
Briyanthe bows. "Thank you." She didn't know she was going to go on trial today, but she did.
Ishaya swirls her wine, studying it in the light, before she has another sip.
Crimrage raises an eyebrow at Ishaya, "Oh? I've worked alongside them some, but I'm not a member myself. I've kept myself fairly busy fighting on behalf of the Warchief."
[Elowel]: Rainfang, you seem to have impressed…my tauren compatriot. Tell me, are you one of the poors that Lady Roseshine is helping? In need of employment?
Liyen cackles a laugh.
Liyen hastily claps a hand over her mouth.
Briyanthe stifles a laugh behind a dainty little cough.
Crimrage regards Elowel calmly, "I do not want for coin, though my needs aren't great, admitedly."
[Ishaya]: He just made a fairly large donation, my lady.
Elowel laughs as if he just made a joke. "Everyone wants for coin, my good orc."
[Briyanthe]: He did make a generous donation. Thank you again, Crim.
[Liyen]: It does open doors, I have to say. Even if my needs aren't great, either.
Elowel arches an eyebrow. "Is that so? Just how much did he donate?"
Crimrage remains serious, "If coin could buy honor and respect this world would be a more peaceful place."
Elowel smirks. "Oh, coin can absolutely buy respect."
[Crimrage]: Perhaps, but not mine.
Elowel pouts a little at that.
[Briyanthe]: W- well, I thought it be rude to count but, um… *She takes out the pouch of coins from her bag.*
[Ishaya]: Ooooh.
Elowel eyes the bag of coins. "I see."
[Crimrage]: I don't mind, Briyanthe.
Ishaya applauds lightly for Crim's zinger, but very lightly and briefly, before glancing at Elowel and stopping.
Elowel exits suddenly.
Liyen seems to find Crim's words an incredibly interesting puzzle.
Briyanthe blinks.
Ishaya says quietly, "She does that sometimes…"
[Crimrage]: I see…
[Liyen]: Lady Aro'ephel? Boss? *Liyen calls after her*
[Briyanthe]: I hope she wasn't… offended by anything we said.
Elowel goes to Ascendant's saddle bags, soon returning with a large — deliberately larger than Crim's — jingling pouch.
Elowel throws the pouch on the table with a metallic THUD. "There."
Liyen is not laughing. You can't prove she's laughing. Her face just looks like that, it's an undead thing.
Crimrage eyes Elowel, "That is very generous of you." He says as evenly as possible.
Briyanthe blinks again. "T… thank you very much! That's incredibly generous!" She approaches the pouch with her hand, then pauses. "… All of it? Are you certain?"
Elowel waves it off as if it were nothing. "Yes, yes. Take it."
[Ishaya]: A very good day for you, Lady Roseshine!
[Liyen]: These gatherings do seem very beneficial for the… poor. Imagine the Forsaken orphans you could assist.
[Liyen]: I bet a lot of them are orphans or something.
[Ishaya]: Forsaken… orphans?
Elowel arches an eyebrow at Liyen.
[Briyanthe]: Yes indeed! *She says to Ishaya, then turns to Elowel again.* I- the poor of the Horde will be forever in your debt. *She takes the pouch, and puts it in her bag with the other donations.*
[Ishaya]: There are… Forsaken children…?
Ishaya 's eyes are wide.
Liyen shrugs. "Uh… not children, no."
Elowel nods to Briyanthe. Of course they are.
[Ishaya]: I think only children count as orphans. Otherwise, everyone is an orphan eventually.
[Ishaya]: My grandmother is an orphan.
[Liyen]: I mean, why not? But okay, sure.
[Ishaya]: People are less likely to feel charitable toward adults who have lost their parents.
[Liyen]: Then I suppose you could help the children for the races who have children.
Elowel turns to Crim, "In any case, Fangrain. I believe…" she pauses, glancing at the tauren, "…I'm so sorry. You, with the spots. What is your name again?"
[Briyanthe]: The gold will be used for this, indeed. Among other goals, such as the organization of these meetings.
[Briyanthe]: Ishaya.
[Crimrage]: I imagine that the Forsaken need more than most. Kalimdor has been good to the orcs and the darkspear.
[Ishaya]: Ragefang.
[Liyen]: We've got our ancestral lands, so that's… something.
[Ishaya]: And I'm Ishaya. Ishaya Sweetwater?
Elowel nods and looks back to Crim. "Yes. So, I believe Ishaya was implying that you would make a good mercenary for the Crimson Coterie."
Ishaya seems a little hurt that Elowel didn't remember. She makes calf eyes.
[Crimrage]: A mercenary? I've lent my axe for coin before. Why join you?
Briyanthe seems a little hurt she's not being considered for the job of good mercenary for Crimson Coterie. She makes priestess eyes.
Elowel chuckles. "Because we are the most prominent company of the Horde. Have you not heard of our accomplishments? My acts during the war against the Nightmare?"
[Ishaya]: Lady Aro'ephel and her leadership team are visionaries. Oh, what happened with that, by the way? I couldn't sleep.
[Ishaya]: I did try.
[Liyen]: Oh it was lovely. We went into this amazing Dream world full of rot and shadows.
[Crimrage]: I may have seen you. I was there myself.
Ishaya wrinkles her nose at Liyen's description.
[Liyen]: Oh, we're dream-mates? *Liyen smiles widely*
[Briyanthe]: Oh, it was a terrifying ordeal. I do remember Lady Aro'ephel fighting bravely, I do think I casted a blessing on you, at some point during the battle!
Crimrage eyes Liyen.
Ishaya covers her smile.
[Elowel]: Did you? How lovely.
[Elowel]: Indeed, I was on the front lines, leading the charge for our people.
[Liyen]: I'm quite sure I saw some of you there. Possibly the elves? There was quite a crowd.
[Ishaya]: How exactly did you defeat the nightmare?
Elowel smiles at Ishaya.
Crimrage nods at Elowel, "I rallied the Horde to fight alongside the Alliance to win the day."
[Liyen]: We freed a dragon, for one thing.
[Liyen]: Or like the dragon. The Dream one.
[Elowel]: I wield the power of the Light, my dear. Shadows and nightmares do not stand a chance.
[Ishaya]: Ysera?
[Liyen]: Yeah, that's the one! And presumably that night elf whatsisname did something or other.
[Elowel]: Yes, just so. You should have seen my power unleashed upon the spells containing the dragon.
[Ishaya]: Staghelm?
You nod at Ishaya.
[Elowel]: Ugh…yes, the great druid of the dirt elves.
[Liyen]: I think his name was more… furious?
[Liyen]: Fury something.
[Ishaya]: Malfurion Stormrage?!?
Ishaya has missed a few memos.
[Liyen]: Oh, yeah, that was it!
[Briyanthe]: … was it?
[Elowel]: Yes, him. He was the one begging for our help.
[Liyen]: And we deigned to help him. *Liyen nods*
[Crimrage]: He was. And we answered the call.
Elowel nods to Liyen.
[Briyanthe]: Right, yes! Stormrage! *Tries to remember the names of people who make donations. Malfurion did not make a donation to build her church.*
[Ishaya]: I had no idea. I would have tried harder. He was the one who taught druidism to our people!
[Elowel]: And it is lucky for the Alliance that we did. In fact, I even spared the life of an old 'friend'. All in the spirit of cooperation, of course.
Crimrage raises an eyebrow at Elowel.
[Liyen]: Well, this Malfurion did… something… and the dragon was free… and then there was a lot of stroming.
[Briyanthe]: Yes, cooperation was indeed important during this battle. People with all different types of magic began channeling energies on Ysera's prison, all together. It was beautiful to see! I was among those people.
[Liyen]: To be honest, I'm a bit lost when it comes to druid magics. Ishaya, maybe when your people find a way to cure all us Forsaken, I can learn more.
[Briyanthe]: The Light was most certainly a key element in breaking that prison, of course!
[Elowel]: Of course. The Light is a powerful weapon.
[Ishaya]: Oh, I'm not a druid myself. I'm a shaman. But some of my friends are druids. I respect them greatly.
[Briyanthe]: Oh, are the Taurens looking for a… cure for the Forsaken? I was not aware.
[Liyen]: Oh! See? I don't even know.
[Crimrage]: Is that true?
[Ishaya]: I think so, yes.
Liyen nods at Ishaya firmly.
[Ishaya]: In Thunder Bluff, there is a place where the Forsaken apothecaries are working with our people, I assume on just such a thing.
Briyanthe cringes a little at the characterization of the Light as a 'weapon'.
[Crimrage]: A welcome endeavor I hope. *he looks at Liyen*
Ishaya also looks at Liyen.
[Liyen]: Of course! We live in such torment. I would welcome a cure.
[Briyanthe]: That is wonderful!
Ishaya gives Liyen sympathetic calf eyes.
Liyen smiles at her sadly.
[Briyanthe]: You do mention often the problem you have with the Light is that it pains you. With a cure, that is one less obstacle for your people to rejoice in its glory.
[Elowel]: Yes, it would be lovely for the Forsaken to live again.
Ishaya looks awkwardly at Briyanthe.
[Liyen]: Uh, sure, yeah, that. But, you know, fel worked nicely on the dragon prison too. Or at least, the methods I have of channeling energy.
[Elowel]: In any case, Ragefin, there you have it. If you were there, you saw how effective I am…and my people. The Crimson Coterie is the future of the Horde.
[Ishaya]: Oh, are you a warlock, Liyen? I suppose I should have known that.
Crimrage grunts.
Liyen smiles at Elowel. Wouldn't it just.
[Ishaya]: Ragefang.
[Briyanthe]: Oh, I'm sure. Your contribution was very well appreciated too, Liyen! *She smiles.*
[Ishaya]: Lady Aro'ephel, if you need someone to take the burden of direct recruiting off of your shoulders, I would be delighted to help out.
Liyen smiles all around at people. "I'm just happy I could pitch in to help with all you people."
Crimrage stifles a smirk at Ishaya correcting Elowel again.
[Elowel]: Oh, I seldom do any direct recruiting anymore. But seeing as I'm here and you seemed so enamoured of him…Insh…aya…
[Ishaya]: Ishaya.
Liyen nods at Ishaya. "And yes, I'm a warlock. Very skilled, trust me."
Crimrage turns to face Elowel again, "Indeed. You have all fought honorably for the Horde and for Azeroth. I look forward to sharing more battlefields with you in Icecrown."
[Ishaya]: You've been in Northrend?
Ishaya gives Crim the calf-eyes this time - admiring ones.
[Crimrage]: I have. That's where I have been fighting recently.
[Briyanthe]: If… If I may, Um… If you are interested in recruiting members during this meeting, I would be honored to join the Crimson Coterie, Lady Aro'ephel.
Ishaya gasps at you.
[Ishaya]: Oh, and you are probably a skilled healer, aren't you, Lady Roseshine?
Liyen turns towards Briyanthe in surprise.
Elowel lifts an eyebrow at Briyanthe.
[Briyanthe]: Yes, I am!
[Elowel]: Alright then, Ishaya. You wish to be a recruiter? You must understand that also involves vetting people. Not everyone is cut out for the Coterie.
Elowel gestures toward Briyanthe. "Show me what you can do."
Briyanthe blinks. "I… I can get you letters of recommendation from a few infirmaries?.."
[Ishaya]: Oh, well, the easiest way to test a healer is if someone is injured.
[Ishaya]: Does anyone have an injury to volunteer?
[Briyanthe]: Yes, that's the issue, we have no wounded in this room. And thankfully so! *She does take a quick glance at Liyen.*
[Liyen]: Uh. Can I anti-volunteer? Heal someone else, thank you very much.
You nod at Liyen.
Elowel looks at a scratch on her armor with a frown.
[Liyen]: Of course, I could hurt someone for you. I'm helpful like that. If you want.
[Crimrage]: I don't think that will be needed.
[Briyanthe]: That… won't be necessary… *She turns to Elowel.* I assume, at least.
Elowel glances up.
Ishaya checks herself over for injuries.
Liyen looks at Elowel, waiting for the word.
[Crimrage]: If you're looking for injured people, the Ring of Valor isn't far off.
[Elowel]: Oh…well, it could be helpful, I suppose.
[Ishaya]: Oh, that's a good idea, Ragefang!
[Ishaya]: Should we see if Briyanthe can help any of the combatants?
[Ishaya]: Lady Roseshine*
[Crimrage]: I haven't worked there in some time due to personal reasons, but I'm sure I could get you inside to the infirmary.
[Briyanthe]: Yes! That sounds like a perfect opportunity to demonstrate my skills!
[Ishaya]: Let's try it!
[Elowel]: You are the recruiter, Iyasha. It is your call.
[Ishaya]: Ishaya.
[Ishaya]: Let's go!
[Elowel]: Exactly.
[Ishaya]: I assume Ragefang knows the way. Sometimes I still get a little turned around in this part of the city.
[Liyen]: I think I'm gonna back out, if that's okay.
[Ishaya]: It was nice seeing you anyway, Liyen!
[Liyen]: Light flying around is not my favorite place to be. Good luck, Briyanthe.
[Briyanthe]: Oh, are you sure? *One less person for Briyanthe to demonstrate her skills. rude.*
Liyen waves goodbye to everyone. Farewell!
You wave goodbye to Liyen. Farewell!
Crimrage approaches one of the battlemasters and greets him, "Throm-ka, brother."
Briyanthe bows to the battlemasters.
Battlemaster Gazhal says: Crim. I haven't seen you here in ages!
[Ishaya]: Hello, we're with Ragefang! We're here to see if anyone needs healing today.
Crimrage grunts "It's been a while, but I'm not here to catch up today."
[Ishaya]: Our priestess friend is eager to demonstrate her skills.
[Crimrage]: That's right. This elf priestess here is looking for a chance to show off her skills and earn the respect of this Blood-Knight here. *he gestures to Elowel.
[Briyanthe]: Absolutely. If anyone is in need of assistance, I am more than prepared to aid them!
Battlemaster Gazhal says: Hmmm I see… Well if Ragefang is making a comeback then I suppose I can let in some newcomers.
Elowel clears her throat, "Lady Elowel Aro'ephel, Speaker of the Crimson Coterie."
[Crimrage]: He isn't. *Crim responds coldly* But I'll owe you.
Ishaya studies Crim.
Battlemaster Gazhal salutes Elowel, "Throm-ka Elowel. I believe I've heard of you before from another elven combattant."
[Ishaya]: She is very accomplished!
You nod at Ishaya.
Elowel smiles, nodding. This is as it should be.
Battlemaster Gazhal grunts, "I can't promise I won't rope you in for at least one round, but you and your comrades can enter. Strength and honor. Crim will show you the way, priestess."
You bow before Karg Skullgore.
Crimrage looks back at the group, "This way."
Briyanthe nods confidently to Gazhal.
Ishaya looks delighted.
Crimrage makes his way into the infirmary. The medics around greet him with surprise but let him tend to one of the fighters, a troll man.
Crimrage nods to Briyanthe, "Now it's up to you."
Ishaya watches Briyanthe with interest.
Briyanthe 's confidence fades away for a second. She braces herself and goes to examine the troll, evaluating their wounds. "I'm here to help. Allow me…"
You kneel down.
[Ishaya]: And if it doesn't work, we have two backup shamans, *Ishaya clarifies to soothe the troll.*
Briyanthe clears her throat. "But it will work."
[Ishaya]: Ragefang, are you primarily a healer or an offensive spellcaster?
Elowel observes quietly, eyes darting between both Ishaya and Briyanthe.
Razathan clutches at some bloodied bandages on his shoulder, "Go ahead mon. Dis ting be killin me."
Ishaya gives Razathan sympathetic calf-eyes.
[Crimrage]: I'm a warrior, though I'm a healer after a fashion. I'm more suited to treating broken spirits than broken bones.
Briyanthe takes a deep breath and begins reciting prayers in common. Her hand cloaks itself in a halo of Light. She gently places her hand on Razathan's shoulder, bathing it in that comforting Light.
Ishaya watches with interest.
Razathan sighs as the light washes over him and the wounds close, "Ahhh, tanks a million mon. Been waitin 'ere for ages be feelin like."
[Ishaya]: Ah, see, Lady Aro'ephel?
[Briyanthe]: Wait, I'm not done!
Elowel arches an eyebrow at Briyanthe.
Ishaya blinks at you.
Razathan says: You're not?
Briyanthe refocuses. With her other hand, casts a [Renew] spell with a shorter prayer, momentarily improving the troll's regenerative abilities, in case of any hidden wound.
Briyanthe smiles. "I am, now. My apologies for the wait."
Briyanthe gets up and dusts her gloved hands off.
Razathan grins at Briyanthe, "Ahh dere we go. Dat be much betta."
Briyanthe smiles again at Razathan.
[Elowel]: I am curious, Lady Roseshine, why you chose to speak your prayers in Common.
[Ishaya]: I was wondering what language that was…
Crimrage grunts, "I suppose that was a bit unusual. I didn't think anything of it."
[Ishaya]: That would be the language that most of the texts of the Light are in, wouldn't it? It's the human language?
[Briyanthe]: Well… I was trained within the Church of the Holy Light, in a community near Stormwind. It was a way for my parents to strengthen their bound with Stormwind's nobility.
[Ishaya]: Stormwind! How interesting! You must tell me what it's like, sometime.
[Ishaya]: I've heard that it's all built of white stone.
[Elowel]: I spent many years performing in Common. But it is an inferior language to Thalassian by any measure.
[Ishaya]: Thalassian is such a beautiful language. It sounds like water flowing over stones.
Crimrage grunts "I haven't had the chance to see the new city up close, but that much I can say is true."
Elowel smiles in approval at Ishaya.
Briyanthe nods to Ishaya. "It is! I can tell you all I know about it."
Ishaya looks briefly uncomfortable at the orc talking about maybe having seen the old Stormwind…
[Elowel]: I would advise against using that language among the Horde. And I would not speak too freely of your family's connection to Stormwind nobility.
[Briyanthe]: Absolutely, which is why I work on my own translations of the Common prayers to Thalassian! It's just… during moments of urgency, prayers in Common are most suited.
[Ishaya]: It's true, people can be very fierce about the war. *This obviously makes her sad.*
[Crimrage]: She has a point. I don't mind the language myself, but there are others who do.
[Briyanthe]: Shorter, less flowery.
[Ishaya]: An interesting project, though, translating into Thalassian. I wish you luck with it!
[Elowel]: Less precise.
Crimrage places a hand on Ishaya's back in comfort/solidarity. He also wishes there was less war.
Ishaya smiles at him in surprise.
[Ishaya]: So, Lady Aro'ephel, how am I doing as a recruiter?
[Elowel]: Let's see. Your prospect has proven her skill. But what of her temperament? A mercenary company is not a church.
Briyanthe nods, a little sadly. "I understand, I'll try to find the right balance between the language I use. As for our ties to Stormwind, those mean nothing to House Roseshine anymore! Humans are the enemy. Our allegiance lies fully within the Horde."
Briyanthe stands up straight. She must make a good impression. She wants the job. She would not kill for the job. She would heal for the job, though.
Crimrage grunts and frowns a bit at the 'humans are the enemy' bit.
[Ishaya]: She is obviously someone with initiative, starting this gathering for charity.
[Ishaya]: She has a generous heart, and healing skills, and is eager to belong to the group.
Elowel levels her gaze at Briyanthe. "Are you willing to take life if necessary?"
Ishaya frowns a bit at that.
Crimrage looks at Briyanthe.
[Ishaya]: Or at least… support warriors who do so?
[Ishaya]: I am not much of a life-taker myself, Lady Aro'ephel.
[Elowel]: No, I mean if it comes down to a choice between allowing one of your companions to die or killing the person threatening them…what will you do?
Ishaya looks like she needs to think this one over herself.
[Briyanthe]: I… *She nods.* If it comes to the life of a companion, I will. Without hesitation.
Crimrage nods and grunts with approval.
Ishaya presses her lips together a bit and nods slightly.
[Elowel]: It is not a situation I would deliberately put you in. But I need to know our people will put comrades first.
[Briyanthe]: I understand completely.
Ishaya contemplates…
Elowel looks to Ishaya. "What do you think?"
[Ishaya]: I have never been in that situation, and it is difficult to imagine. That there could be a situation where the only way to save a friend was to kill.
[Elowel]: In the heat of the moment, you won't have time to think about it. You must be prepared to act.
[Ishaya]: I would certainly act.
[Crimrage]: I'm afraid Elowel is right.
[Ishaya]: I would not hesitate. I would do whatever the spirits guided me to do to save my friend.
You nod at Elowel.
[Elowel]: I hope you do not think me a monster. I do not take lives lightly. But…battle does not always give us the luxury of choice.
[Ishaya]: I understand.
[Elowel]: That said…I meant what do you think about Lady Roseshine?
Ishaya would blush if Tauren did that. She lowers her head, tail swishing. "Oh."
[Briyanthe]: No matter what, the Light guides me. No matter what happens, I know I will be where I was supposed to be, doing what I was supposed to be. Even if it means taking a life.
[Ishaya]: I think she would be a wonderful member of the Coterie, Lady Aro'ephel.
Briyanthe smiles hopefully at Ishaya.
Briyanthe 's hopeful smiles turns to a grateful one.
Elowel nods slowly.
[Elowel]: So be it. Ishaya, you will reach out to Lord Gethennis Jadelight and inform him I have made you a recruiter. He will guide you in how to make Briyanthe's position official.
Crimrage keeps an even expression. He doesn't look fully convinced by Briyanthe or Ishaya's claims of being comfortable with taking life, but he approves of the effort.
Ishaya claps her hands together and smiles.
Briyanthe beams.
[Ishaya]: Lord Jadelight. Yes, my lady, I will.
[Briyanthe]: Thank you very much! Now, I have um… I have to return regularly to Silvermoon for personal reasons. I have a hearthstone, but in case of an issue of any kind, I'm hoping portal support will be provided if possible?
[Ishaya]: I shall go write to Lord Jadelight immediately. It was so nice talking with you all.
Ishaya bows down graciously.
You bow before Ishaya.
[Elowel]: Yes, of course. We have mages to provide portals.
Crimrage grunts, "It has been."
[Ishaya]: Take care, and I hope to see all of you soon!
[Briyanthe]: Thank you, it was great meeting you. *She gives her a genuine smile.*
[Elowel]: nods to Ishaya and smirks. "Excellent, and you can work on Ragefang as you please."
[Briyanthe]: That's comforting to hear! *She nods to Elowel.*
Crimrage side eyes Elowel a little but says nothing.
[Elowel]: Now, I need to get out of this…place. To return to the front in Northrend.
