Terrineth sits at a table at the Hero's Rest beer garden. She has a package wrapped up neatly in front of her and she bounces her leg looking over at the entrance waiting for someone.

Averlena walks into the beer garden herself, holding a rather sizable package. Her expression brightens when she sees Terrineth.

Terrineth smiles at Lena, "Heya gorgeous." She eyes the package, "You need a hand with that?"

Averlena walks over and sits across from her, setting the wrapped package on the table and reaching a hand over to take hers. "I'm alright, Rozalin. It's for you." She smiles.

Terrineth blushes a bit despite herself, "Awww, you didn't haveta get me somethin so big."
Terrineth squeezes Lena's hand and smiles brighter.

Averlena puts a hand on the package and it squishes down a little, like maybe it's cloth inside. "Oh, it's not so… it's… I hope you like it."

[Terrineth]: So who goes first?

[Averlena]: Um, do you want to? *Lena pushes over the package invitingly, with a nervous smile.*

[Terrineth]: Oh uhh sure. *Terri takes the package and turns it around a few times, sizing it up a bit* Well here I go. *she chuckles and tears it open*

Inside is a dark green dress. It's not like a fancy ballgown dress, but more of what somebody like Lena or Terri might wear to go dancing.

Terrineth 's eyes light up at it, but she's also trying hard not to laugh, "Oh wow! This is so pretty." She stands and holds it up in front of herself, "Gosh, thank you Lena. I really don't got enough of these lately. Maybe that can change soon, yeah?"

Averlena smiles. "I thought.. maybe we could go dancing again. And the color suits you."

Terrineth grins, "I'd like that a lot. Gonna have to find some time to do it." She sets the dress down for now and pushes her package in front of Lena, "But now it's your turn." she snickers.

[Averlena]: Yes, my turn. *Lena reaches for the box and starts to tear it open.*

Inside is a lovely dark green velvet gown with fox fur trim. It's very pretty, but feels sturdy enough to wear out and about.

Averlena laughs, running her hands over the fabric. "We do think alike, don't we? It's lovely."

Terrineth sighs in relief and smiles proudly, "Great minds, eh?" She winks, "Oh! And Nack sent me this weird oil I guess they've been developing down in Undermine. I guess it's supposed to make it waterproof, so you can wear it on the ship if you wanna."
[Terrineth]: Not sure how well it works, though. I was gonna try it out after I finished makin it, but it's a bit tight around the chest for me and I didn't wanna rip it. *she chuckles*

[Averlena]: Oh goodness, really? *Lena brightens at that.* I'll have to try it. Everything gets damp out in the mists, I'd kill for a little warmth sometimes.

[Terrineth]: I'm glad you like it. Thought a pretty gal like you deserves to look good while you're hangin around that fancy captain and stuff.

Averlena grins at her. "With you too. I bet they'll be impressed, next gala or whatever we go to together."

[Terrineth]: Heh, I hope so. I wouldn't mind another party.

Averlena sobers for a moment, and reaches out a hand again to Terrineth. "Not really related, but I've got news on… the memorial."

Terrineth grabs her hand, "Oh? Did ya find someone for it?"

[Averlena]: Yeah, a priestess in Stormwind now, Cobalt. *Lena considers her words carefully* I think she's well-suited, from what I talked with her about. Jenzelle Halveris. She's not an expert at memorials, but I think she'll give it a good heart."

[Terrineth]: A good heart is all I can ask for. *Terri smiles ruefully* Thanks a million, Lena. I don't know what I would've done on my own.

[Averlena]: You'd get by, but I'm glad you don't have to. *Lena nods.* And she… she knows a guy for stones. If there's something in particular you'd like it to say for him.

[Terrineth]: Oh wow. A nice headstone and everything? Damn… I'll have to think of somethin to put on it. *Terri isn't quite sure what to make of this all. She's not used to people putting in this kind of work for her*

[Averlena]: When you decide, I can let her know… or you can, if you want to talk with her beforehand?

[Terrineth]: Y-yeah. I'll let her know when I think of something. *she sits there nervously for a bit like she wants to say something* Hey uh… Lena?

[Averlena]: Mm? *Lena looks up to meet Terri's gaze.*

[Terrineth]: Do ya… think I should go see my parents? It being the holidays and all I thought maybe you'd think I should since I still got em and all…

Averlena considers in silence for a while. "I think… you shouldn't force yourself, if you're not ready, just for the holidays. But… I reckon they'd want to see you."

[Terrineth]: Maybe… *she squeezes Lena's hand tighter* I just don't wanna disappoint em, ya know? Sure I'm back, but it's been what? Like 12 years now? I don't know… I just don't wanna break their hearts again, ya know?

[Averlena]: I've… thought about that, myself, *Lena says quietly.* If my parents would be disappointed with my choices. With the things I've done to survive. I… don't have an answer, and I never will. Maybe… it would be good to have an answer.

[Terrineth]: Y-yeah… I guess I'll have to think of something first… Gotta figure out what I'm doin with myself too. I don't know… *she sighs and slumps down* Shit just don't feel right no more. I haven't been fightin near as much as I used to. Just a bit lost I guess.

[Averlena]: Do you want me to talk to the Vice Admiral? See if you can give sailoring a try? *Lena looks at her with a touch of hope.* Or I got other contacts, here in Northrend, if you want.

Terrineth raises an eyebrow at that, "Maybe… I… I'll let you know. I still… I mean you heard about what the boss is gettin set up in Westfall, right? I feel like I should help out at least a bit."

Averlena nods. "The wall in Sentinel Hill? Wouldn't be a bad idea, helping to rebuild. And that'd be a thing to be proud of, wouldn't it?"

[Terrineth]: Y-yeah. Don't think the old boss would be too happy if we slept on a chance to help make shit right. *she hazards a smile* I just… Well I don't wanna do that if it means losin you, though. I still wanna stick with ya and help ya out.
[Terrineth]: Just not always sure what to do with a classy lady like you. *she scratches the back of her head*

[Averlena]: I do have… a lot of other responsibilities, *Lena says a touch apologetically.* With you in Westfall, we'd see each other less often. But you wouldn't lose me, not to distance. Not with summoning and portals and all that around."

[Terrineth]: I know, I just… I like havin you around, and I like bein useful. *she sighs* Well I guess I'll have to think about that too. Gotta choose between goin back home and being a pirate with this lovely lady. *she winks*

Averlena grins. "More like a privateer, really. But you don't got to decide right away. And if you want to help out at Sentinel Hill, I bet they'd appreciate it. When I went by, lots of rebuilding going on."

[Terrineth]: What's the difference? *this is less a question and more Terri stating that she doesn't think these words mean different things* But I guess maybe I'll take a look. If I'm lucky maybe I can do both, yeah?

[Averlena]: Yeah, maybe you can do both. *Lena nods* Plenty of time to figure things out as we go.

[Terrineth]: Yeah. *she smiles and glances over inside her bag* And hey, thank you again for stickin with me while I get all my shit sorted out. Guess we bumped into this whole thing at a bit of a weird time for me. *she chuckles nervously*

Averlena shrugs. "Maybe a weird time is the best time to get to know somebody. Anyway, I got plenty of my own baggage, too." She pauses, then adds, "Whatever else, let's go dancing again someday soon, agreed?"

Terrineth smiles, "Yeah you got it." She looks in her bag again, "Oh, but before you head off or anything, I uh… I made something else for you, I just um, well I thought you might like somethin nicer so I made the dress instead."

Averlena glances over curiously. "Oh? I… I didn't make anything. I can for next time."

[Terrineth]: Oh, no no no I'm not tryin to guilt you or nothin, I just… well here. *Terri pulls out two matching pairs of stockings. One is white with a red snowflake pattern which she hands to Lena and another that's red with a white snowflake pattern she keeps for herself.*

[Averlena]: You made 'em? *Lena smiles, reaching for the stockings.*

[Terrineth]: Yeah. *she says a bit bashfully* I figured it was kinda simple, so I wanted to make you a nice dress too, but… I thought we could have these so even when we're apart, it can feel a little like we're together ya know?"

[Averlena]: We match. *Lena nods.* We fit together.

Terrineth smiles wide at that, "I'm glad you think so."
