Jocoza

Dear Cobalt Company and Associates:

I hope you’re all enthused for the upcoming Winter Veil season! Just a week now until the decorations go up in Ironforge. If you’re a Company member, I hope you’ll consider tossing your name in the hat for our annual gift exchange!

Alliance News

Even as the weather turns colder, things are heating up in the mountains west of the Dragonblight. This region is known as Wintergrasp, and both Alliance and Horde forces have established a military presence there. The whole area is dotted with titan fortifications and there’s rumors that they exist to defend a vault with titan artifacts of untold power. Moving from rumors to facts, the whole area is also rich in raw materials we need for the war effort. One might think that these prospects would cause the Horde and Alliance to team up, to claim such power and resources to use against the Lich King together, but it has thus far proven to be more a cause for division rather than unification.

Company News

This week, White Squad continued to assist Brann Bronzebeard in the recovery of Norgannon’s keystone. They’ve acquired the shell, unfortunately requiring some demolition of constructs of a mechagnomish variety, and are now on the path of the core. In the meantime, they have uncovered some information about the guardians (or ‘Keepers’) of the region. It seems that one of them, Loken, has kicked all the Earthen out of Ulduar and taken it over for his own. They also checked out four major temples in the area - of invention (intact), winter (intact), order (intact) and life (damaged beyond repair). The respective watchers - Mimir, Hodir, Tyr and Freya - were all confirmed to be missing.

Blue Squad continued their infiltration of the Hyldnir and their efforts to reach Thorim, the rightful guardian of Ulduar and the Terrace of the Makers. He’s currently located in a fifth temple, the Temple of Storms. Our team won favor from their new ‘sisters’ by assisting in the war against the frost giants, and then by riding proto-drakes to rescue many of the Hyldnir from frozen imprisonment in the frost giant’s camp. They then tamed wild matriarch bears into war bears for mounted combat, which was the next round of the Hyldsmeet competition. I’m happy to report our team came through this challenge unscathed, and they are now preparing for the ‘Drakkensryd’ (drake-riding) portion of the competition.

At your service, as always,
Captain Jo Sparkwire
