Arc: The Cobalt Blade

Hey friends,

I hope you were able to make some use of the information Scooty passed along to you. If you're not too busy dealing with Scarlet crackpots, I may have a job you'd be interested in.

I got word that my backstabbing brothers have another expedition planned in the southern Barrens. It's dangerous, but the most profitable ventures always are. I want to beat them to the punch and swipe this job out from under them. I need a crew I can trust, and who else came to mind but my own saviors! What do you say? Interested in making some money while sticking it to my brothers?

There's a mage named Belnir Strauss who's been trying to put together an expedition into Razorfen Downs, searching for some kind of magical fire stone. I don't care as much about the details as I do about the payout. He's offering a small fortune to anyone that can get him safely in and out of the Downs.

My brothers told him they'd send a team to meet him there. Unfortunately, it seems the messages to their employees never reached their destination. Not a single one. Crazy, right? Anyway, it opened up an opportunity for us. Since my brothers' people aren't coming, I can send the famous Cobalt Blade instead!

I've enclosed a tracking compass with this message. It will lead you to another associate of mine, a night elf named Mariel Starsong. She's been keeping an eye on the situation outside the Downs, and should be able to provide any important intelligence.
