Gethennis Silvestre

Sil waits by the turtle boats, a slim brown-haired human in dark leather armor that seems like it belongs on a 7th Legion scout. The only thing that might be a little out of place for the persona is the uncertainty in his eyes, as he waits for… someone.

An absolutely fabulous blood elf mage approaches through the slight fog that hangs over the coast. His violet hooded cloak is trimmed in silver embroidery and pinned with a blue-green brooch that perfectly matches his luminous eyes. Beneath the cloak he wears a waistcoat and trousers in shades of violet and gray, tailored to fit his slim form to perfection.

Sil's eyes widen as he catches sight of the approaching blood elf, but he doesn't seem to doubt that this is who he's watching for. He reaches down toward his flash powder for a moment, maybe considering making a flashier appearance himself. But then, he decides otherwise, and he just straightens up, raising one hand in a friendly wave as he grins cheerfully at the elf.

The elf Blinks his way right up into Sil's face. "Hellooooo there," he says playfully. "Looking for me?" He steps back then with a musical laugh.

Sil startles at the sudden closeness, a faint blush on rising on his cheeks. He takes a step back, too, chuckling. "Yeah, I think so? If you're Geth Jadelight, that is, but you fit the description."

"Geth Jadelight… You know, I hardly ever hear those two together. Usually either I'm Lord Gethennis Jadelight or just… Geth. And those are two very different people.” He taps his lower lip with a forefinger in thought and eyes Sil coyly. “I think I'm just Geth today."

Sil considers that one, brushing a little bit of imaginary dust off his own armor. "I was going to ask. She called you Geth, so I figured… I mean, I don't want to be improperly familiar, if that's a thing to worry about."

"Mm, I'd say you're handsome enough to be as familiar with me as you like," he says. "So. I've already forgotten what we're here to talk about, but I'm sure you remember, hm?"

"Yeah," Sil says, a little dazed. He doesn't say anything else for a moment, looking into Geth's eyes. Then he jumps and says, "Oh, right, yes, sorry. Miss Leaf… I mean, I wanted to ask you about Lady Aro'ephel. Right."

"What would you like to know? El and I are absolute besties, so I can tell you pretty much anything except the color of her unmentionables. Which isn't to say I don't know,” he amends swiftly with a sparkle in his eye. “I simply won't tell you."

Sil chuckles again, shaking his head. "I wasn't gonna ask that. Do you know a lot about her family? I'd never heard of them, but I guess I never really got much out of Stormwind city till the past few years."

“I know everything about that family, darling, so where should I start?" He smiles winningly.

Sil's smile lifts, and he raises one hand to smooth back his own hair before he says, "Oh, gosh, um. So I guess the Lady Elowel is a really big deal, right? Is it like, a big family? Close-knit?”

"Darling, they're nobles. Quel'dorei nobles have never been much for closeness, and nothing about becoming sin'dorei has helped that situation. But yes, they are a big family, in every sense of the word."

"I ran into some friends who were talkin' about one called Ayesel, or something like that. Do you know that one?" Sil looks at him hopefully.

Geth frowns slightly, gaze drifting upward. "Oh, that was El’s uncle. An explorer type, killed by trolls I believe? Or so the story goes." One perfectly groomed chestnut brow rises a half inch. "Why, have you heard differently?"

Sil blinks. "I'd not heard he was killed, no. Friend of mine was lookin' for him, seemed to think he was still around."

"I do hate to be a killjoy. But all I know is that he set off for Jintha'Alor a while back and never returned. Of course I suppose it's possible he faked his death to escape his dreadful bore of a brother, but…" Geth shrugs.

"Oh yeah? What's wrong with the brother, to make him so boring?"

"Oh, just, you know." Geth waves his hand vaguely. "You know how nobles are. Or do you? Anyhow, no sense of humor, impossible standards, blah blah blah." He yawns theatrically, covering it with the back of a perfectly manicured hand.

"Ah, so like a lot of the human ones," Sil shrugs, stepping to the side to lean casually against a post. "I sort of thought sin'dorei nobles were maybe different."

"Well, on the whole, they're prettier," Geth quips. As if to demonstrate, he pushes back his hood and shakes out his glossy chestnut hair.

Sil appreciates the demonstration, if one were to judge by the expression on his face. "And I meant with the whole… uptightness. Human nobles are awful uptight, lot of times."

"Mm, yes, it's adorable. So very serious. So why all these questions, if I may ask a question of my own?"

"Oh, sure, uh… like I said, I had a friend who was real curious about the family. Might be that Ayesel owes her money or something." Sil shrugs. "And I try to help out pretty girls when I get a chance. Or well, I like helping people, in general."

"Tell me about this friend of yours. I should know who's sniffing around about the Aro'ephels, being such a close family friend. Especially if she's pretty." He grins wickedly.

"Oh, well, she's pretty shy," Sil hedges. "I mean, had to flush her out of the shadows first time we met. So I wouldn't want to go throwing her name around an' all."

Geth's gaze sharpens. "My dear new friend, I've just given you a great deal of information about my dearest friend and her family, because I assumed this was all very harmless. The least you could do is tell me who it is that's so curious, if there's no harm meant to anyone."

Sil considers that one, and then nods slowly. "I guess that's fair. And I wouldn't have got involved if I thought it was hurting anybody. Night elf girl called Lyrane Leafblower. Seemed real eager to find this fellow."

"And it didn't even occur to you that a kaldorei might wish a sin'dorei harm? Oh, you precious thing. I can only hope I haven't caused problems for darling El."

Sil's face pales. "I didn't… I wouldn't come out here and make trouble for Aze's friends. Or friends of her friends. I'm not that sort of guy. All the kaldorei I ever met were pretty nice. And the sin'dorei."

"Then I daresay you haven't met very many of either, but no matter. I haven't told anything that isn't known by dozens of people anyhow. I'm sure it's fine." He attempts to give Sil a headpat. Sil is considerably taller than he is, but you wouldn't know it from Geth's demeanor.

"I mean, Auralind's kind of stern, but I think that's just her personality," Sil says, accepting the headpat. "Do you… do you want me to just tell Lyrane I couldn't find anything out?"

"I'll leave that to your discretion. I certainly haven't helped her locate the fellow with anything I've said, since as far as I know he's dead. So do as you like." He smiles.

"Well, at least it'll give her somewhere to start, maybe, if she doesn't mean any harm. When did he disappear roundabouts? Do you recall?" Sil watches him curiously.

"Oh Light, years ago," Geth says, stroking his smooth chin. "Before the orcs invaded… but not long before. Someone must have escaped whatever killed him, to spread the story, but damned if I know who it was. Some adventuring partner of his most likely."

"That's a good point," Sil frowns thoughtfully. "Do you know who he used to travel with? Or would Lady Elowel know?"

"I'm not certain if she'd know, but I can ask her I suppose. Or you could ask her, and cut out the middleman. As much as I sometimes enjoy being in the middle of a handsome man and a gorgeous woman."

"I mean, I've enjoyed meeting you, too," Sil says, smiling crookedly. "Might be easier for you to get a message, me being with the 7th and all."

Something sparks in Geth's eyes in response - curiosity? desire? triumph? Hard to say - and his smile widens. "I'll tell you what, gorgeous. I'll send along a message to her; it may be that she's intrigued to meet such an accomplished gentleman as yourself, and you may get more helpful information."

"You'd do that?" Sil brightens. "Thanks, Geth. I appreciate it."

"I absolutely will. Now, I suppose I should head back to Dalaran before anyone gets the wrong idea about us." He leaves it ambiguous what idea that might be, but makes it sound quite exciting.

"Yeah, I wouldn't want to hurt your reputation," Sil grins at him, with a touch of mischief.

"My reputation is as invulnerable as a Kirin Tor dome, my young friend. Ta ta for now." He winks, pulls his hood back up, and then teleports away with a ~flourish~ of violet sparkles.
