Devon,

No more news on the Glenarvan chap, but I’ll keep asking. We’re bound to cross paths sooner or later, given we’re all pointed at the same goal. You didn’t say, but this is about that silver-haired girl you were speaking with at the gala, isn’t it? Was that Caliette or Aubrienna? I’ve been away too long, and I can’t recognize everyone easily anymore. It’s not entirely my fault, though - the younger nobles persist in growing up and changing in my absence. I feel I’ve stayed entirely the same since I joined the army, but I suppose others would disagree.

On another note, I have some surprising news to relay. The quel’dorei woman I danced with at the gala, Kalindra Azuredown, has made an offer of marriage. She has the whole arrangement worked out down to many generations hence, so it must’ve been something she’s been thinking on for a while. She would like for me to marry into her house, and for us to be granted some small portion of Tennerow land in Redridge. To handle the age issue, she’d abdicate when heirs of ours reached forty years. A smoother transition than you had, I’d hope. Anyway, as a dutiful younger son, I pass this on for your consideration, along with contact information for her current head of house, an elderly uncle.

If I still know you at all, your next question would be about what I want in all of this. The simple answer is, I don’t know. I consider Kalindra a friend and a good person to have at my side in a fight. If I’m understanding correctly, she desires for this to continue as it is, aside from the potential awkwardness of the production of heirs. It remains to be seen if she’s just a cold negotiator or genuine on this front. If she is the latter, I still don’t suppose I should be any less happy than I am now, and likely no less constrained in any romantic entanglements.

I leave it to you, the question of whether a public tie to the remaining quel’dorei is beneficial for the Tennerow House. While you sort it out, I’ve a war to win.

Sincerely,
Leric
