Admiral Siamus Fallon Sintha Fallon

Sister Mine -

A week to set my ships in order here for my absence, and to pay a call on Lord Fordragon regarding our mutual friend? If I thank you for the generous timetable, I trust you'll read the sarcasm. Or is it Master Shaw I ought to thank? Pass it on, will you?

In any case I'll be there, brother and patriot that I am, and I'll even stop to drop a word in good Bolvar's ear, though I'm sure you and your Shadow King know well the man's a little preoccupied at present besieging the Wrathgate. I'm given to understand it's as leisurely and jolly as it sounds, so he'll no doubt have time he’s glad to spend on noble conniving.

If you thought the priest would shock me then I’m sorry to disappoint. Three-fourths of my lads up here are good mainland Light-kissers, and I’ve even got them a chaplain aboard the Lady Kate. (Though he’s also a gunner’s mate and a card sharp, so perhaps your upstanding fellow is for the best.) I am impressed by the number of nautical turns of phrase you managed to embroider into a page and a half of writing; a man of a bent more suspicious than mine might think you were cajoling.

Your obedient servant and/or indulgent brother,
Siamus

P.S. Sintha Mairead, are you aware there’s a bloody war on? Go ahead and burn the letter now if you like; you’ve already read it in full.
