Dear Cobalt Company and Associates:

Today, let me start with a reminder. As we work with many different groups within the Alliance and beyond, it's possible that some groups may not hold the same principles as we do. Should you find yourself working in conflict with your own principles, please quietly inform your local Cobalt leader and/or bring the matter to the Company leadership at the soonest opportunity.

Alliance News

As I'm sure you're all aware, we now have easy boat access to an area known as 'Dragonblight'. This central zone has made it easier to link up with many of our allies, such as the Argent Crusade and the 7th Legion, who have been setting up further inland. As we have nearly finished securing the landing zones for our forces, I expect that Cobalt will also begin moving away from the coast. I would encourage our people to cultivate ties with our allies.

Company News

White Squad has continued to investigate the puzzling case of the 'Iron Dwarves' in the Howling Fjord, which were uncovered by an Explorer's League expedition a while ago. These seem to be walking statues of dwarves, and they are using some sort of runecarving, possibly similar to that done by the Ebon Blade. The runecarving has enable them to raise an army of Stone Giants, who are heading to a 'Stoneforge' on their iron masters' orders. The leader has been stopped, but be careful - there are still some Stone Giants out there.

Over in the Borean Tundra, Blue Squad has continued to assist the people at the Fizzcrank Airstrip, particularly in their issues with the local aggressive magnataurs and snobolds. They tested out some prototypes for the gnomes there, and also rescued someone from the magnataur caves. The gnomish technology unfortunately didn't work, and the security of the airstrip was unfortunately secured by deflecting the aggressive magnataur elsewhere. I should also note that they attempted a diplomatic overture to a local people here, the Taunka, but were met with violence. I would encourage everyone to keep their distance, at least until more information is known.

We'll be coming up on some R&R time soon, so please do remember that Chaplain Mordecai Aspenwood is around for consultation if you find you need someone to talk to. I know that removing the immediate press of action can sometimes cause quieter sources of distress to become more apparent.
