A letter, written in a tidy but unsophisticated hand.

Dear Mayellen,

I figured the mail was a bit too unreliable to write, but Ben says he's had a letter from you, so. It was good to hear you're doing alright and that you've made some new friends. I miss you and our lessons together, and talking about everything. Even bad stuff. I hope things are going well for you. I thought maybe you'd care to hear that I'm alright too?

I am not really sure what I ought to say. Northrend's kind of a horrible place. It's cold and there's these giants called vrykul that they say are our ancestors. Humans, that is, not specifically yours and mine. And there's Scourge, of course. All brings up memories, and most of them not welcome.

But still, I'm here with friends. Ben and Paluuva I knew before. I don't think you met Paluuva but you ought. She's really smart and just takes in information like nothing else. She's an anchorite, which is like a priest, but she doesn't mind folk like us. And I think I'm friends with Rae Westwind and Ace Stormhammer now, too. Rae's got about as many memories as I have, since she's from the north too. And Ace is a dwarf and a paladin, got a good head on her shoulders. I reckon you'd like her.

And Northrend's not all bad. We just met the strangest folk the other day, they're like big walruses but they talk and fish and make neat stuff. Their place smells something fierce, but they're so kind and friendly. We call them the Tuskarr. You ought to come see someday. I'll introduce you.
