Dear Cobalt Company and Associates:

A quick reminder to all: as Captain I do not require anyone to act in opposition to their own moral code. If anyone we're working with asks you to do so (even if they're Kirin Tor or Alliance military leaders), there will be no negative repercussions within Cobalt Company if you refuse or find an alternative path forward. My dearest wish is for this Company to be and to remain a group that you are all proud to represent.

Alliance and Company News

I'm sure everyone has heard the rumors by now - dragons! Yes, our Blue Squad is now dealing with dragons on a snowy island to the northwest. It is here that we may have uncovered the reason why the Alliance has been so slow in setting up portals and magical mail transport back home. Malygos and his blue dragonflight have been channeling arcane power into the 'Nexus', and it has been interfering with our portal magic in Northrend.

Our team started out following up with the gnome Midge on her story of mysterious rescue, which it turned out was very accurate. This led to their teaming up and working with the Kirin Tor and also some friendly red dragons to understand what exactly is happening in Coldarra, what the short and long term effects might be, and how we might stop it. Also, they rescued a Kirin Tor mage, for which I commend them.

In chef news, a cook has arrived in the recent ship of civilian volunteers, so Ivri will be handing over cooking duties. This Sunday's farewell dinner will be rhino ribs and cornbread. I love cornbread.

Especially now, given recent events, remember that Chaplain Mordecai Aspenwood is available in Valiance Keep, should you need to speak with someone.

As a final and very important note, we have learned that the enemy has been kidnapping and killing mages, specifically, so please keep a close eye on all of our mage allies at this time.

The Howling Fjord newsletter from Sil.

Dear Cobalt Company and Associates:

I guess you've already read the note from Ben, but if not then read this one. STAY AWAY FROM THE WHISPERING GULCH. Seriously. It's not a place to do 'childish bravery dares' (trust me, I asked), it's genuinely evil and will mess you up.

Alliance and Company News

Before we get to evil gulches, there was some other important stuff that happened this week. First off, the vrykul are apparently trying to engulf the Howling Fjord in a roaring magical fire expanded from a dragon clutch. It's cool, our squad pretty much put a stop to that, but we may have pissed off some dragons in the process. Keep your eyes on the skies!

We also found out that the Forsaken have made a new plague and have been testing it on a vrykul village nearby. This is for sure a cause for concern, and our squad has secured a sample of said plague and given it to Ismene for finding a cure. No worries, we got this under control!

Then finally our squad went to explore the whispering gulch and found it to be full of whispers and also horrible evilness. We don't know yet what is up with that whole thing, but in the meantime steer clear!

On another note, a group of us (me included!) went out to meet up with Bran's cousin's Explorer's League mission, and we also learned some cool stuff. There was this dig site getting covered up by iron dwarves, which are not dark iron dwarves but are like walking statues. We all went in these flying iron-dwarf machines and talked with them in Titan language, which was really freaking awesome, let me tell you. Anyhow, I didn't really understand a lot of what they said, but there's something going on in a place called Storm Peaks to free their Father. More mysteries to uncover!
