Dear Captain Sparkwire:

I must say it is a surprise to be told that not one but two of the most celebrated mercenary companies in Azeroth are led by gnomes. Very pleasing! I have decided to apply first to Cobalt Company, as it seems a very upright and straightforward sort of organization. My qualifications are as follows:

• 20 years' service to the Sons of Lothar as cook and engineer

I'm afraid that's it. What I am most interested in is finding practical applications for the arcane in service of the Alliance, but I have only just begun my studies to that effect, inspired by the efforts of the battlemages in Outland. For a character reference I give you Tibbiah Shinbreaker, my closest associate in Outland. I believe the two of you are loosely acquainted.
