[LCDR Aspenwood] Chaplain, might I have a few moments of your time?

[CH Harbrooke] Oh, um. Of course, sir.

[LCDR Aspenwood] Thank you.

[CH Harbrooke] Please, come in. Would you like to have a seat?

[CH Harbrooke] What may I help you with today?

[LCDR Aspenwood] It concerns Sir Brenley.

[CH Harbrooke] Ah.

[LCDR Aspenwood] His possessions will be sent home to his next of kin, but his horse…

[CH Harbrooke] His horse, sir?

[LCDR Aspenwood] Devotion, his name is. The two of us have reached an understanding.

[CH Harbrooke] An… understanding. With the horse?

[LCDR Aspenwood] As a paladin's steed, Devotion is incredibly intelligent, and though he cannot speak, he has made his intent very clear. He wishes me to ride him in battle from now on.

[CH Harbrooke] I… see. You still haven't selected a new horse?

[LCDR Aspenwood] I've been riding Luster, but I had always intended for that to be a temporary arrangement.

[CH Harbrooke] Ah. I understand. Have the nightmares lessened at all?

[LCDR Aspenwood] No.

[CH Harbrooke] I'm sorry to hear that.

[LCDR Aspenwood] I know that Sir Brenley spoke to you on occasion. Do you believe he would have supported me inheriting Devotion?

[CH Harbrooke] I couldn't say, sir.

[LCDR Aspenwood] I don't believe we were friends, exactly, but we got along well. Unless he… spoke of me as a friend?

[CH Harbrooke] Sir, I cannot say. Patient confidentiality still applies to the deceased.

[LCDR Aspenwood] Forgive me, I did not mean to imply otherwise, nor that you should tell me anything he told you in confidence. That was unbecoming of me.

[LCDR Aspenwood] I believe Devotion and I would work well together.

[CH Harbrooke] Would you like me to fill out a request?

[LCDR Aspenwood] If you would.

[CH Harbrooke] Of course, sir. Just give me one moment…
