Some time ago, Velrin spent many weeks in Outland combatting Illidan’s forces in Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, and Shadowmoon Valley. She fought hoping to find a weakness to wreak her vengeance on the Betrayer for destroying her home of Felwood. Many foes were felled by her blades in her single minded drive, but his forces remained strong regardless. She could not be satisfied unless she found a weakness, something vulnerable to exploit that could deal a true blow to the Lord of Outland. In time, this weakness revealed itself.

While she fought in Shadowmoon, Velrin managed to apprehend one of Illidan’s messengers. She interrogated him and discovered that Illidan was in contact with a group of demon hunters on Azeroth led by one Allanon Shadowthorn who were moving to join the ranks of the Illidari. Having learned this, Velrin returned to Azeroth with glee, ready to ensure that Illidan would not be receiving his awaited reinforcements.

Velrin wasted no time in tracking down her new prey, and her hunt quickly found its way back to her home in Felwood. There, she stalked her opponents from the shadows, striking down any additional messengers who attempted to make contact again with the Black Temple and even launching assaults on some of their smaller encampments.

These actions inevitably drew the attention of the demon hunters’ finest warriors, and thus Velrin was introduced to Nylarria Felkiss, Allanon’s star pupil. The two fought many times, both against one another and side by side as their conflict was often interrupted by the satyrs and demons that plague the land. However, slowly but surely, Velrin was making headway in her quest to defeat the demon hunters. Or so she thought…

While attacking a demon hunter camp, Velrin happened upon a strange bracer. This bracer had the power to seal the souls of demons, preventing them from returning to the Twisting Nether. She finally had a weapon that could deal the final blow to her enemies by cutting them off from the supply of demons that they needed to fuel their powers. With this ace in the hole, Velrin knew it was time to deliver the final blow.

She sent out a call to all of her allies and comrades, requesting their aid in launching one final offensive on the demon hunters’ main encampment. While they all had their suspicions concerning Velrin’s new bracer, they were more than willing to participate in the attack and set off.

On the way there, the group was waylaid by a squad of hunters led by Nylarria. The two groups clashed. Blows were traded on both sides, but in the end the hunters were driven back. Invigorated by the support of her comrades and her determination to see her plan to the end, she even managed to handily best Nylarria, but chose to spare her life out of pity.

After this, the group made their way into Allanon’s lair. They slew many demons and warlocks on their way to the demon hunter, with Velrin sealing them all away in her new bracer. Everything was going smoothly and in but a short time, the group came face to face with Allanon. However, something seemed off. Despite having seemingly been easily driven back and defeated by the heroes before him, Allanon remained calm. He raised his hand to reveal the twin to Velrin’s new bracer. It was a trap! All at once the souls of all the demons they had killed began to rush into Velrin. Allanon had seen the power of Velrin’s determination and left behind the bracer so that he could lure her to him and turn her into another demon hunter, one even more deadly than Nylarria or possibly even himself, the ultimate weapon to use against the Burning Legion.

Some of Velrin’s comrades rushed to help Velrin keep the demonic influence at bay while the others pushed forward to defeat Allanon. The battle was hard fought, but in the end the demon hunter was slain, and Velrin was saved from being turned into a demon.

Velrin thanked everyone for helping her carry out her mission and for saving her from her own brashness. Exhausted, she made her way out of the dungeon to go and visit her parents’ graves with Evanlyn. After paying her respects and telling them all about what she had done, Velrin thanked Evanlyn one last time, telling her that she would take the bracers to the Watchers for safekeeping before finding some much needed rest.

Rest seldom sat easy with Velrin, however, and so she decided to instead direct her efforts into other areas not so closely tied to the rage that nearly cost her everything. This meant that Velrin was returning to the Plaguelands to aid the Argent Dawn in their ongoing quest to drive back the Scourge, offering her services as an assassin and spy.

Only time will tell where this next adventure with lead her…
