21st entry of Gausanders Spellbond’s journal… I think.

So, I forgot to take my journal with me when we traveled to the Outland. But that’s okay because I took another book with me to write things I learn about demons here! I guess I’ll throw that idea out the window and just write about me instead! I’m just going to be extra careful to make sure I’ll remember everything interesting I learn here.

Oh, wait, no, I’m just going to talk about this one demonology thing here because that’s important to me! The Legion has canons with souls!
Living machines with souls!

That’s so weird! Why would they need their canons to have souls?! I think that means they’re not really machines, but more like demons! Maybe I could summon one, one day? Can you imagine? That would be so great! We’re trying to get into a big, fortified place and I come here, summoning a canon and shooting the door! Or like, I’m sure I could get rid of Scholomance forever with one of those! Just get there, summon a canon, and boom, no more necromancy school!

Anyway, I was told to keep this a secret, at least for now. I’m a bit disappointed because I think that it would be good for everyone fighting against the Legion to know more about them… Like in the Exodar! They were a little too harsh about the demons they showed, I think, but I think it’s good to know a little more about the enemies you fight. Especially if they have souls!

But anyway.

The Outland isn’t as bad as the others say it is, if you ask me. I think that walking on floating, shattered rocks is kind of fun, and it’s probably because of how used I am to the Fel, but I don’t think the food and the air here are that bad! I’m glad too that we’re cut off from Azeroth for a little bit (but I don’t want to spend 20 years here)! Auralind’s vision about my parents and that Felguard, they’ve been on my mind a lot… So now that we’re here, I can’t do much about it. I can’t go and look for them, search for information. So being here is a nice little break from that! With what Auralind saw, I don’t think I’ll like everything there is to learn about them. I don’t really think about this right now, there are more important things to focus on!

I also think that until now we have avoided the worst parts of this place, which helps. Apart from the toxic pools around that giant demon skeleton that we somehow all missed, we haven’t really seen anything… really bad. Like that road the others told us about…

I’m really glad we haven’t yet because I don’t know how I’d react to seeing this type of horror. Everyone is already feeling stressed out and upset. I’m doing my best to still be the same Sandy I was when we left and I’m hoping that it brings smiles to the face of my friends whenever they need it.

We threw bombs from the back of gryphons, which was really, really fun! I have no idea why we don’t handle all our missions like that because that’s very efficient and makes it all look like some kind of game. We should get points for every giant machine we destroy!

Fel orcs may or may not be able to smell us. I don’t think they can, but some noticed us before they saw us when we got on that Hellfire Citadel’s ramparts. But then, they said that there might be intruders, so either they were bluffing and they just randomly say “We are being attacked, be careful!” to scare people off, or they just thought we’d left.

They had a dragon or a drake, we’re not sure. I want one too, now! And I love my bird Dragon, but I can’t ride on her back. I wouldn’t go anywhere without my own dragon. Maybe I’d have it breathe fire before making my entrance everywhere I go.*

I hope my pets are doing okay back home.

Apparently, Fel orcs work with Illidan, a kaldorei that the other kaldorei have named “The Betrayer” because he used the Fel and abandoned them during the Third War, or something. They’re going against the Legion, apparently, which is weird but good news for me. If Fel orcs can work against the Legion, that means that there’s hope of freeing demons from Sargeras and having them fight against it too, no matter how Fel-y (?) a demon is!

Speaking of Demons… I talked with my newest friends recently, and it didn’t go as well as last time. I mean it went not great with some… but I’d say pretty well with another. It was… nice talking with Selvuzen…

A whole paragraph has been scratched as to make it unreadable.

I know the others don’t really like demons, so that’s why I don’t think they’ll really understand how I’m feeling right now.

Oh, and if there’s one thing they like less than a demon, it’s a demon with two mouths! I don’t know why, I think it’s funny.

On Sunday, we’re probably going to go get this really rare book of the Light from a possibly cursed place. Elohad would be proud! We weren’t sure if it was dangerous for us to go there, so we stopped and waited for Cress to study that location.

Hopefully, it’s going to be okay! I wouldn’t want to become a death knight because of a stupid curse!

Elohad came to say goodbye before we went through the portal. It was nice to see him like this. This whole journey for all of us began thanks to him, and we got to start this new chapter of Cobalt Company with him too.

Dane has been meeting all of his heroes In here, it’s really funny to see him like that, all excited!

Colson asked to talk to me a few days ago. It was about the Fel. I was really surprised because I thought he really hated everything related to that topic. I mean, he does, but I thought he didn’t want to talk about this more than in a military way.

He has this wound from the Third War, from a Felguard, and it’s all healed but it started hurting again. He was wondering if there were any Fel energies inside. I didn’t feel anything, and it sounds more like what a Sayaad would do anyway, poisoning a weapon. I didn’t think I’d find anything in there, but mom says that you should never research something with the idea that you won’t find anything or you won’t, no matter if it’s there or not.

I’m not an expert in scars, but I did ask him if it was more the memory of the wound that hurt and not the wound itself. He said he will consider this. Regardless, I hope it will stop hurting soon! I told him to ask Nilunelle for help anyway, and she’s awesome so I’m sure she’ll be able to help him!

I know I said I don’t think much about it here, but I have some questions about the Felguard that attacked him. He already has too much trouble because of that demon right now, so I’ll ask him on another day!

Anyway, I should go to sleep before Ben and Dane do because one of them snores really, really loud!

*I’ve got something better! Before I’d land anywhere, I’d make fire rain, land with my dragon in-between these fireballs falling from the sky, and, then, finally, I’d have my dragon breathe fire up to the sky. That would be so cool!
