(2021-09-26) Arguune visits Blackflathom Deeps

My journey in this new world continues to surprise me. Icaros contacted me about assisting a group of mercenaries clear out a cavern complex full of corrupted creatures. One of the group, a gnome warlock, was a representative of the mercenary group Cobalt Company. Despite my initial misgivings, the warlock maintained full control over her demon and showed excellent precision with her spell-work. Icaros was even impressed, which I don't think I've seen from him before.

Our team was rounded out by Vindicator Erixa, and a young Night Elf named Ziriel. Erixa did a fine job, though her enthusiasm in the midst of battle can be distracting and worrisome.

The caverns were initially full of naga and satyrs (apparently both forms of fel-corrupted Night Elves), but later we found a group of cultists with many races represented. The cultists had managed to summon a great foul beast (possibly not for the first time?) but we stood strong and slew the creature.

If this is the kind of work regularly undertaken by this Cobalt Company, I will have to see about forming a closer partnership with them.
