My dear Rocks,

We ended up all over the place today. We actually went to the Hinterlands, because another dear friend of Finnegan J Sharpgear needed some help apparently. It was so beautiful, love. I know you’ve talked about it, but seeing it…I felt like I could see you young and tearing down the mountains at full speed. The smell of the air reminded me of you.

We were told that there’s some sort of to-do with a famous chick, or son of a famous gryphon at least. Sharpbeak? Elo said that he’s somewhat related to the High Thane, his gryphon I suppose? Someone apparently bird-knapped the poor lad, and the first suspect was, well, of course the trolls. We did go and check, and we had to fight our way through to it. They had cages, but no gryphons. And then we had to go look at this giant altar. Dane mentioned that trolls practically regrow their limbs they heal so fast. I wasn’t sure how much that was true and how much that was Dane being…Dane. He mentioned how it made them like lizards, like animals. Sometimes I worry about him, and the way he talks about other races, but I think maybe he just needs people to be monsters and beasts sometimes, in order to do what he does, and I cannot really argue with that too hard.

After sending us running fair abouts the whole of the Hinterlands, or so it felt anyway, we basically got told we’re at a last resort of divination. Of course we all wondered why if they had the feather and the knowledge of who to ask for it that they’d sent us running around the mountains. Naturally, the person we had to go see was in Nethergarde, though. Jo and Cress had to make so many portals today, getting us all around.

I don’t understand why mages have to build every tower so damn high. Anyway, the man we went to see insisted that if he was going to do a favor for us, we’d need to do a favor for him to jog his memory. A medallion in Tanaris, of all places. So, another portal. And long story short, we’re in Gadgetzan, overnighting here at the least, until we can track down where this medallion is.

I’m doing well. Niris is probably going to insist on a sun hat though. [There is a doodle of what could be Oranna in a truly improbably large sun hat that could likely be at least two other people’s shade if they scooched in close enough] Who knows what that might do to my line of sight??

I love you, and I’ll be seeing you soon. When I get back, I want to talk to you about maybe making a wee little gryphon tank for that little figurine of mine. I saw a large one in Nethergarde, and it could be a nice little toy, maybe something that we could keep around for a while, for little ones to play with.

Love,
Oranna

Dearest Sunbeam,

Swiftwing’s chick has gone missing? I’m fair pleased the Company reputation has reached high enough to warrant a summons.

Tell Dane from an old expert that underestimating trolls like that can get him onto an altar pretty quickly. Hate is one thing, but don't let it tilt you into bad tactics. They do heal very quickly, though — makes them more dangerous, not less. Be careful, my love.

Feel free to drop my name in Gadgetzan if you need. I'm no goblin-whisperer but some of the greenboys there seemed impressed with my work. Might be it could open some doors?

Sprocket and Keane and I miss you terribly. We'll be taking care of things until you get back.

All my love (and kisses),

Rocks

Bargrimm,

Well, the good news is that the goblins here seem to be willing to negotiate for a Company discount and Niris' Eyebrows work on all but the strongest willed folk in seeing we're not being cheated too badly.

The bad news is that it looks like that medallion that man wanted isn't going to be a quick trip. Elo's been working on the tactics of making it as safe as it can be, but it'll be a bit of a to do. I expect I'll be here all week at this rate.

I wish you were here. I went by where we danced yesterday (it was a kabob shop now — had to triple check I was in the right place, but the little patio was definitely the same). You know, looking back, I don't know how I didn't see that I loved you already. That night's one of my best memories of my life, love. I'll probably always like Gadgetzan at least a little because of it.

I'll be safe, and coming home as soon as I can. Give my love to Sprocket and Keane, and one of the kabobs each. The third one is for you. [There is a doodle of what could be Bargrimm, Keane, and Sprocket each holding a kabob above their heads]

Love,
Oranna

Rocks,

Elo is organizing us back to Nethergarde to find that dwarf who promised us the gryphon chick's location in exchange for what he described as a "medallion." I can't believe that was really his intent alone, not given how many trolls we had to kill to get it.

I need to stay focused on getting this done, and seeing the chick returned, but I [there is a blot of ink] I think I really need you right now, love. I need to settle the bill here tomorrow, and then I'm going to hearth back home in the morning.

There was a battle. At a temple. There were so many of them, Bargrimm, and so few of us. I got to a high ground with Niris and I went back on The Wall. It was the only way I could keep killing them.

Jo says I lost Common for a time.

Everything felt very distant. I still don't feel like I've come all the way back. There were just so many dead. I killed so many of them. Just took the shots and kept breathing. Am I still an acceptable variant if I

I'll be home tomorrow.

Love,
Oranna
