Sario

Sario took a deep breath to settle his stomach as the effects of the portal dissipated. He looked around, confirming that he was indeed in Ironforge. The familiar stone walls were a balm to his nerves, and he felt himself begin to relax for the first time since he had left on his latest adventure.

With the memories of the Deep swirling inside his head, Sario strode out of Mystic Ward. He had gotten lucky. Again. Sooner or later, he knew that his luck would run out, and then that would be it for him.

“.. as the Corruption sinks in…”

Sario’s head snapped up. Looking around, he realized that he had wandered into The Forlorn Cavern. Focusing in on the voice, Sario made out what appeared to be a lesson in channeling the power of Shadow. He had clearly stumbled upon the meeting place of warlocks, and quickly decided to move on before his presence was noticed.

As he walked away, Sario began to think about what he had overheard.

He had always been warned about the allure of Shadow, of its power. He had been told since he was a boy that if he gave in to that power, that it would destroy him. But would it? Sario had seen first hand the power that the warlocks of the Company wielded, even to the point of commanding demons! Clearly that power could be controlled. He would just need to find someone to show him how.

He made up his mind. He was tired of always being scared. It was time the monsters were afraid of him.
