Appearance

Human Form

Mrs. Underthorn is an even 6' tall even without high heels, which she often wears. Her black hair is often pulled back or pinned up, and her eyes are a piercing fel green. It is difficult to determine her age, and a lady never tells; she could be anywhere from in her forties to her sixties. There is no gray in her hair.

Worgen Form

In her worgen form, Mrs. Underthorn is about 7' tall without hunching over, with soft grey-dappled fur and a well-groomed black mane. She maintains her air of dignity. Her eyes are a piercing green.

History

Rosalie came from nothing and worked her way up stubbornly to something. A wealthy man by the name of Mr. James Underthorn hired her as a governess for his three children after the death of his wife, and Rosalie very stubbornly integrated herself into the family.

They say that she charmed the whole family, that Mr. Underthorn found love again and married his children's governess, and it was all very romantic.

They also say that Rosalie murdered the whole family for Mr. Underthorn's money, and the manor house was left to her after her husband's death.

Bereaved widow or evil stepmother? The truth might be either, both, or somewhere in between. The facts of the matter are this: alone in a large house, the widowed Mrs. Underthorn turned it into a brothel for the well-to-do, the House of Flowers.

Though never a Lady in title, she was certainly a gentlewoman by reputation, if you paid no mind to the nastier rumors. She took good care of her girls and made certain they were safe. Clients could count on the discretion of her establishment.

When the worgen attacked Gilneas, Mrs. Underthorn evacuated her girls and got them out of the city as safely as she could. She herself was bitten years later, a stubborn hold-out. She was captured relatively quickly and temporarily cured by Mr. Krennan Aranas, which then led to a more permanent cure provided by the kaldorei. She was quick to track down as many of her former employees as she could, and considers them to be her pack.
