Appearance

Standing tall at 6'6"/198cm, Torvald is a mountain of a man. His sunbleached brown hair and light tawny eyes stand out somewhat against his tanned skin. He has a scattering of freckles across his cheeks, but the ones covering his arms and legs are so prevalent that they appear almost like a tan. His eyes crinkle significantly when he smiles — which he does often — and his teeth are bright (and more remarkably — intact!) and straight.

A Gentleman Adventurer! That's it, that's the personality. Torvald sees the world as an adventure waiting to be had. There is no defeat, only temporary setbacks in the grand adventure of life! Although he enjoys a good romp, Torvald appreciates the need for plans. They're just something other people think of, and then tell Torvald, who is happy to follow along.

Torvald can be pursued mostly as a casual romance. Torvald is attracted to adventurous people. He is not attracted to people who are homebodies with caution and a strong sense of self-preservation. He is attracted to women, and trans-feminine people. He is more attracted to the larger races, human to Tauren, as a larger man himself. He is not attracted to people more than ten years younger than him, but he has no upper limit on age.

As a partner, Torvald is more like a golden retriever hiking buddy than a lover, but his love and enthusiasm for a shared adventure means he has the potential for oddly epic romantic plots. He crushes on people easily, but deeper emotions take time and repetition. Torvald is monogamous himself, but doesn't demand monogamy in his partners, comfortable with those who are polyamorous or involved casually with multiple people. He is neither jealous or possessive, but he can also sometime be a little forgetful. He will not remember birthdays, anniversaries, or special occasions.

Torvald can be seriously romanced, but it is a slow burn and build up. Consistency and willingness to get past the physical adventuring side of Torvald will be the key to unlocking a deeper, more emotional romantic side of him.

History

BIRTHDAY: JULY 18TH, YEAR -10

Born to loving parents, Torvald was three years old when he was told he was soon to have a little brother, Gerhold. It took some time for them to come to terms with one another, but soon they were the best of friends, and frequently used their combination of smarts (Gerhold) and brawn (Torvald) to romp through their youthful world. At 18, after his younger brother was swept away to Dalaran in the wake of coming into magic, Torvald went to see the world, adventuring into the strangest parts of Azeroth. In year 20, he spontaneously joined an excavation team, the Chippin' and Smithin' Company, in the Dun Burg mountains. It went awry, leading to a grueling five year underground Adventure!, where they finally re-emerged in the spring of year 25 in southern Westfall mountains. Unaware of what had befallen his family, Torvald set off across the land — only to discover five years had passed and Azeroth was not the same place it had been. He has since been wandering, assuming himself the last Fauntleroy survivor, adventuring across the world.
