RP Hooks
- Gnomeregan Defense Force: Has good relationships (as Tadget Lodestone, officially deceased) with people who were in the G.D.F. prior to the fall of Gnomeregan.
- 7th Legion: Anyone in or associated with 7th Legion is her family, no questions asked. They might be a bit wary of her, however, given that she has a history of behaving somewhat erratically even under the icy hand of Captain Tyrrell.
- Cobalt Blade: If you're a fan of the series of illustrated adventure novels The Cobalt Blade, you are well familiar with her personality, her history with the 7th Legion, her triplets, and her faceted peridot eyes.
Appearance
Small even for a gnome. Low-maintenance, short brown hair, a face that is somewhat unremarkable except for strangely compelling peridot-green eyes that appear faceted, like gems. Her arms are often bare and, frankly, pretty ripped. She has two deep scars, one on her left shoulder and one on her scalp under her hair.
Personality
Hardcore • Loyal • Wry • Neophilic
Tadget's ability to endure physical and emotional pain helped her survive a very rough start in life, as has her peculiarly slanted, off-kilter view of almost everything, from humor to violence. While she craves novelty and is selective about her causes and relationships, once she has decided something is worth her time she is ALL IN.
Tadget does best when she is part of a small, tight knit team like a military unit. She operates acceptably on her own for short periods, but tends to go even more strange when she spends too much time on her own, and solo missions are also a waste of her natural affinity for teamwork and obedience. This affinity is well hidden by a smart mouth and lots of sighs and eye rolling; the pattern of her unswerving fidelity only becomes clear sometimes in hindsight.
Quirks:
- Likes to greet people with 'Sup cheesebags' and say farewell with 'Stay fresh.'
- Really likes crystals.
- Breaks the fourth wall a lot.
- Will mention whenever possible that she killed a god once.
In a Nutshell
Theme song: "Undefeated" - Skillet
This character is unavailable for romance.
History
Tadget grew up surrounded by people wary of her tendencies toward violence, but upon joining the military after the Second War, she found respect and belonging for the first time. During the trogg invasion, she was left for dead by her younger brother Timmet and Corporal Sparkfly, the girl she loved.
She buried her old identity and started fresh, joining SI:7 and mostly avoiding other gnomes until she became Cobalt Company's accountant and began meeting some of their recruits, including Jocoza Sparkwire. When Sparkfly applied to Cobalt Company, Tadget abruptly left everything she owned to Jo, resigned from Cobalt Company and SI:7, and vanished into the wilderness. She spent nearly a month wrestling her demons, and emerged from it a stronger, more confident person.
She then joined the Alliance's 7th Legion, though she is currently on leave due to being involved in the Ahn'Qiraj offensive and earning extended dwell time, then using said dwell time to conceive and deliver triplets on the day of the Battle for Light's Hope Chapel. (Yes, triplets. There were experimental fertility treatments involved, as well as unprecedented surgeries and baby-feeding machines and so forth. ) When they managed to survive to six months of age, she finally named them: Ram, Pinki, and Pinni.
Due to the physical toll taken on her by pregnancy and surgical delivery, Tadget failed her physical fitness test upon attempting to rejoin the 6th Expeditionary Unit. Her former captain, Zath Tyrrell, promised her that she would be readmitted when ready, due to her record of exemplary service and the reasons for her absence. In the meantime, she is getting back in shape by making waves with the Cobalt Blade.
Relationships
|
Tyrrell
O CAPTAIN! MY CAPTAIN! Tadget would die for him. And has. She got better. |
|
Jo
Roommates and close friends. Completely platonic, except for that one time, but we're not talking about that. |
|
Timmet
Tadget's brother, twenty years younger. They are currently not speaking. |
|
Finn
Partners in crime and procreation. |
|
Ivri
Don't let the height difference fool you; they're sisters. They bicker constantly, but if you hurt one, you get stabbed by the other. |
|
Nish
Nish was Tadget's first girlfriend, many years ago, but eventually Nish had to free herself from the Constant Bummer. These days they're on good terms, with no lingering flirtiness. |
|
Inkie
Inkie was Tadget's first (and only) friend when they were both little, but Tadget's mom cruelly separated them. Recently Tadget rediscovered Inkie and is excited to remake their acquaintance. |
|
Niksi
Niksi came into Ironforge HQ late one night while Nish and Tadget were talking, and Tadget was very interested in her undersea explorations. |
