- STORMWIND ARISTOCRATS are likely familiar with her; she seems to be everywhere in society — though often gliding just at the edges, never standing at the indiscreet center. Society ladies have likely been air-kissed by her at one time or another; Sintha is the three-time world welterweight air kissing champion. Society gentlemen might be aware that her family fortune would make her a prize for any noble marriage (despite her ever-increasing age), although she has proved strangely elusive thus far.
- GOSSIPS and avid followers of THE SOCIETY SCENE may have read an issue or two of Milady Moth's Society Sheet, though this would not necessarily alert them to an acquaintance with Sintha, per se. Milady Moth is an ephemeral creature of mystery. Who can she be? Gosh.
- SI:7 AGENTS OR INFORMANTS may be aware of her, to a greater or lesser extent.
- People stationed at or present in WINTERGARDE KEEP in the wake of the Wrathgate debacle may have encountered her.
Appearance
Sintha Fallon is a lissome young lady with warm, golden skin, honey-gold eyes, and silk-sleek dark hair. She is something of a chameleon in public: Glimpsed on the streets of Stormwind City, you are just as likely to see her striding from the Dwarven District in soot-stained workman's garb, goggles pushed up into her hair, as you are to spot her drifting through the Park or Trade Districts with elegant poise, dressed with expensive but rather bohemian flair. In either case, she is likely to be wearing a slight, sphinx-like smile, her gaze sharp as flint.
Personality
CALCULATING • GUARDED • PLAYFUL • SHARP
What could you possibly need to know about Sintha's personality? She is exactly as she seems: A rather bohemian, rather vapid, occasionally rather mean-little-rich-girl socialite. Gosh.
She is not exactly as she seems. Gosh.
Sintha does not have feelings. Or rather, Sintha had feelings, but a long time ago she put her feelings in a box and put that box in a slightly larger box and then put that box in a bag and then fed it to a shark and then killed the shark and let it sink to the bottom of the sea. The only two feelings she has left are amusement and irritation.
(And grief, and fury, and a passionate adoration of her older brother and a ferocious devotion to her family and a painful snarl of confused loyalties and the profound loneliness of a girl who has only one human anchor in this world and no true friends and the stark, cold terror of a small child awake and alone in the middle of the night.)
People are either puzzles or problems to be solved. Sintha likes puzzles and problems, which may give people the impression that she likes them. This is false. If she were to like people, she might have to trek out to the middle of the sea to dredge up a shark-carcass and dig out a bag containing a box containing a smaller box and get her feelings back out, and no one has that kind of time.
But do at least try to be an interesting puzzle or problem. That helps awfully.
This character can be romanced if you are patient and very determined.
History
Sintha was born in Tiragarde Sound, in Kul Tiras. Her naval-officer father moved her and her brother to Stormwind in the wake of the Second War, when both were children; Admiral Simon Fallon had served with distinction in that conflict and aided in the liberation of Stormwind, and in exchange for his heroism (and his loyalty), the young King Varian ennobled the Fallon family within his kingdom and granted them some small, sea-cliff lands south of the city.
This is the story, anyway. Sintha will tell you a more cynical version, about the King needing to restock his war-torn lands with tax-revenue-generating nobility to replace those lost to the orcish onslaught, and choosing to strengthen ties with wartime allies by selectively honoring a representative few; Simon Fallon — as not just a Second War commander but already a younger son of nobility in his homeland — made a palatable and convenient, if not necessarily distinguished, choice.
Sintha is not her father's greatest admirer.
They moved when Sintha was seven and her brother eleven, joining their father's convenient escape from the acrimony of divorce and feuding families back in Tiragarde. Sintha was not meant to come; the plan had been to leave her with her mother, while her father and brother moved overseas. Sintha and her brother, however, had clung together for years through the familial tempests of their childhoods, and neither wanted to be parted from the other. When Sintha learned she was to be left behind, she was inconsolable; Siamus intervened, refusing to go with his father unless Sintha came, too.
The glad outcome was that Sintha and her beloved older brother remained together. The dubious outcome was that Sintha was dispatched to a foreign shore in the sole custody of a father who had very little idea what to do with her, and not much more interest in figuring it out. Sintha was left, more often than not, to her own devices, and in the actual care of a brother only four years her senior.
The young Sintha showed none of her father or brother's interest in warfare, and no more than the average Kul Tiran's interest in seafaring. Instead, the brilliant young woman with a voracious appetite for knowledge — for information — applied her polymathic intellect and engineer's calculation to society itself. Alert to every intrigue, attentive to every whisper, by her teenaged years she had become something of a social and political prodigy.

Her father may not have fully appreciated the scale of his non-nautical daughter's talent, but one man in Stormwind did, and soon Master Mathias Shaw had a golden society belle for his secret orchestra.
Sintha remains unmarried; though her flirtations have been many, none has crossed a line too far for aristocratic propriety, and she seems somehow to hover just out of reach of scandal. The old guard of Stormwind nobility will tell you that she and her brother are new to the Eastern Kingdoms, that they are sailors and foreigners and peculiar, but they won't tell you too loudly or for too long — not so long as Sintha Fallon smiles her cat's smile, her gaze a little too knowing.
The fact that the Fallon siblings are awfully rich and mysteriously well-connected probably helps as well.
For a long while, Sintha would absent herself from Stormwind two or three times a year for an overseas journey. Rumor suggested that she was making regular visits to her native Kul Tiras, but Stormwind relations with that island nation being as fraught as they are post-Theramore, this seemed highly unlikely. Whatever the truth, the voyages have ceased since the Wrathgate.
Following her brother's injury and illness subsequent to the Wrathgate, Sintha decided she'd like a little more hands-on role in the Alliance, and joined the 7th Legion. She is currently a siege engineer in Captain Zath Tyrrell's 6th Expeditionary Unit, and a member of the 7th's team working on invasion airships for Icecrown.
She also got bangs, to indicate a major life change.
BIRTHDAY: February 12th, 590 KC (2 BDP)
Relationships
Lord Siamus Fallon Older brother. Absolute jellyfish. More stones than sense. Sintha's favorite (her only?) person. She is allowed to call him Shay; you are not.
Lady Avrenne Esprit Fallon Brilliant lady, and now sister-in-law, courtesy of Sintha's extremely shrewd machinations. She and Shay will no doubt heap laurels at Sintha's feet once the two imbeciles realize they are madly in love.
Captain Zath Tyrrell Shay's lover, which makes him something like a brother-in-law but worse. Fancies himself a miserable glacier; actually something of a miserable kitten. Sintha expects that any day now she will accidentally discover the Captain in bed with her brother and the Lady Fallon, because Shay is just that insufferable. (Would be doubly awkward now that Tyrrell is her Captain in the 7th. Sir, please.)
Lady Morgauna Thenedain A friend and neighbor; the Thenedains have had ties to the Fallons for ages. Morgauna's mother has an enviable if indiscriminate talent for secret-scavenging. Morgauna herself is wonderful, but does persist in flirting back at Shay. He is insufferable.
Lady Lucille Moore Darling. Lucy is also an engineer, absolutely brilliant, and likewise versed in the Gnomish school. Dearest friends. Her husband was a beast and a cad and someone ought to have poisoned his tea. Someone still could. They have tea in prison, yes?
Lady Alaisa Lysander A dear friend and colleague, and a young lady of remarkable skill: in addition to their social ties and professional collaboration, Ally taught Sintha some Gnomish as an aid in her engineering studies. Extremely competent. Sintha loves that in a lady.
Lord Arric Falrevere A darling childhood subject friend of Sintha's from Tiragarde, her sidekick in chief (and in crime), and a very recent émigré to the Eastern Kingdoms.
Scilla Moore Lucy's sister. Artistic, which is interesting. Absolutely besotted with the middle Aspenwood boy, Shay's friend, which is a trifle trying. They've been betrothed for a century or something. Lady Fallon's dearest friend; has been living at Fallon House with Shay and Avrenne for several months, ever since Shay discovered that she is Tragically Poor. One would suspect him of Motives, but Lady Moore does not seem susceptible. Extremely sensible of her.
Lord Bertrand Aspenwood A friend of Shay, and Priscilla's hundred-year fiance. Not as starchy as most military types (see: his brothers).
Ralaea Westwind A recent and rather baffling project of Shay and Avrenne, who claim to have taken her in for her own security due to her bizarre connection to the death knight Mourn (formerly Lord Morningdew). A sullen and peculiar little creature who has nonetheless managed to charm Shay absolutely. And not in the usual manner; if she holds still long enough, he seems likely to adopt her.
Lady Cressidha Aspenwood Sister of Bertrand, a little younger than Sintha. Absolutely perfect manners, which is a little awful, but she probably means well. (Aspenwoods will be like that.) Extremely competent, which is again a thrill.
Ivrianna Barlowe Atley A former colleague, recently wed to a knight of the realm and retired to motherhood. Her skill set was a little less tidy than Sintha's or Ally's, but untidiness has its uses. Sintha helped provide social cover for one Lady Elodie Havenwood a year or so ago: The cousin? Elodie? Of course Sintha knows her; as children they summered together one year at Lordamere.
Lady Dara Tennerow Of the Redridge Tennerows, and thus familiar with Military Older Brothers. Something of a musician, charming gossip. Ran away from home to join the priesthood, awfully unexpected of her and therefore delightful. Entangled less discreetly than she thinks with Sophiette Valonforth.
Lady Alwynneria Demasco Vaguely acquainted; extremely peculiar. Beneath the peculiarity, the absolute definition of competence. Well, of intelligence, at least. Working for Shay on the miserable Morningdew Matter.
Annai Curran Shay's right hand. Terrifyingly competent, devoted to Shay in a way that would be suspect if the lady seemed to have any genuine feelings whatsoever. She does not; extremely admirable.
Lena Coit A warlock, of all the marvelous things, and a former pupil of Captain Tyrrell who became embroiled in the House of Nobles campaign via the wretched Wishock Affair. A rather indiscreet past. Cunning, calculating, fantastic. Currently working for Shay and the fleet.
Finley Boutille Avrenne's oldest ward, rather a mood. Shay has instructed that he be made useful; Sintha has been tasked with molding him into a Society Mole.
Isla Lenaire Another of Avrenne's wards. Absolutely perfect child, utter sunshine, views the world as a romantic novel in progress. Doomed to disappointment, but adorable in the effort.
Silvestre Sullivan A member of Cobalt Company, formerly on loan to the 6th EU as a scout. Earnest, possibly a little silly; means well but likely to be absolutely crushed by the real world if he doesn't smarten up.
Annibeth Jansen A new friend. Delightful. They may or may not have certain friends in common. One of those friends may or may not have the initials M.S. Sintha may or may not be terribly interested in Annibeth at M.S.'s behest.
Lady Ismene Hazan Daughter-in-law of Lord Ference, wife of Cobalt's Lt. Ben Hazan. Sweet, doe-eyed, the most picturesque country mouse. Manages the Callis Orchards on Fallon Lands with remarkable competence. Saved Sintha's life, and is thus owed all favors forever.
Mount
Mistral A purebred Tirasian mare, a pale silvery dapple gray with dark mane and tail. She is the sister (fittingly) of Shay's horse, Siroc.
