"Bounty Hunter"—If you have the coin…Or have crossed someone who does…But this persona has proven to be more of a ruse to disguise her true motives.
Blue Dragonsworn—Inducted and sworn by Colbaltann to serve the Blue flight since before the War of the Ancients. Loyal to Lord Malygos.
Former Sentinel—Was at Hyjal. Has since left the Sentinels
Former Azsharian Magus—Former Archmage and politician in Azshara's court. Spent 9000 years in a Watcher cell following the War of the Ancient for her crimes.
Appearance
Golden eyes. Medium length hair that gone mostly silver by now and often tied back, greatly faded red facial markings (owl) which haven't been renewed, generally athletic build, although she maintains her graceful movements even by Kal'dorei standards due to her penchant for dances. Scars going down the right side of her face, and likely extend under her armor.
Personality
Sidhanei is a very driven individual and often a woman of only a few choice words, a remnant of how she was raised to play word games and advance the family name within the old circles of power. Likewise, her emotions tend to be minimalistic—meaning they aren't full-body expressions and are often controlled to influence the partner in the conversation. This makes her shrewd, clever, and resourceful, rarely taking a direct approach to problem-solving. Others will be better swordswomen, better marksmen, faster, or just more capable than she—but she survives by the tricks up her sleeve and the sharpness of her wit. Her speech remains rooted in her past, usually elegant and abstract, her hands usually are moving in specific ways to reinforce whatever she is saying, and the way she structures her speech patterns strongly favors a passive voice to slither around truths. While Elune is technically revered above others, Sidhanei follows and reveres Bwondsamdi as a direct higher power—wearing an old, worn pendant of the loa's around her neck. In contrast, she will never step foot inside a temple of Elune but will say the occasional prayer.
Sidhanei is an 'old school' Spellbreaker, one of the forerunners of what can be found in Silvermoon—a primarily anti-magic warrior who blended martial ability with her own spellcasting into her 'bladesongs'. While her time as a fully-fledged magus under Queen Aszhara is thousands of years behind her by this point, and her casting is outlawed by Watcher enforcement, she hasn't completely lost her knowledge or understanding of the ancient art she once obsessively practiced. In an ironic twist of fate, this familiarity has made it easier for her to deal with the difficulties of hunting spellcasters and wayward practitioners. When it comes to demons and dark magic, this prejudice is even more pronounced.
She is fluent in many trade languages, including those of the Horde—which she favors among the two factions but maintains neutrality as a sworn agent of the Blue flight.
While she is a Hunter ingame, she's treated as a Mage/Hunter hybrid when acceptable (that is, with GM permission to cast spells).
History
Sidhanei was raised in the Fortress settlement of Kalanaar on the frontiers of the old Kaldorei Empire. She quickly elevated herself to the top of her class at Nar'thalas with her studies by the time she completed her apprenticeship.
From there, she rose to power and eventually reached the heights of being a member of Queen Azshara's court and the last Magistrix the region would know. During the War of the Ancients, her friends turned on her and fought alongside the resistance against Sidhanei and other loyalists to Azshara. Magistrix Ambersong was defeated by the Resistance shortly before the Sundering, marking her as one of only a few high-ranking loyalists to stand trial for the crimes of the highborne.
Following the War of the Ancients, she was imprisoned for nine-thousand years by the Watchers (more commonly called Wardens). She was released during the War of Shifting Sands to act as a liaison with the Blue flight due to her previous status as one of their Dragonsworns. Once released—well, "released"—she was treated as working off the rest of her debt/sentence in the service of the night elves' defense and people. This lasts all the way up until Hyjal in the Third War. At that point, the world of the Night Elves expands and she makes her move to escape their reach by beseeching her Lord Malygos as one of his Dragonsworns. He agrees: she has earned the respite for past crimes by fighting against the Legion and he has an immediate use for her. Sid takes the opportunity to strike out on her own in a hopeless attempt to repair the damage she caused the world ages ago one step at a time and reports back to her Lord about magics running loose in the world—a subject she is uniquely qualified for.
