- Celebrity: Ranneowyn made a name for herself very early on in her career as a rising star in a popular traveling performance company in Quel’Thalas. She has since outgrown the company and has struck out on her own. She has gone on to become a popular icon as a singer, actor, and dancer. She loves all her work, but her greatest passion will always be ballet, and she is counted among the most talented ballet dancers in all of Azeroth. She is also well known for her penchant for playing the roles of young men, especially in ballets.
- Humble Beginnings: Ranneowyn is the product of a scandalous affair which ruined her mother’s reputation as a young woman. While Rann may have grown well beyond that by now, it’s still a fact that has shaped the woman she is today.
- Socialite: Ranneowyn is a patron of the arts as much as she is an artist herself. She is at the forefront of the social scene in Quel’Thalas, and she eagerly attends all the concerts, plays, and other performances that she can. She is also very conscious of fashion and is always seen wearing the latest styles and trends, often taking her own unique spin on them. Perhaps more unusual, though, is that she does not limit herself to Silvermoon in this regard. She spends just as much time traveling Quel’Thalas engaging with local events as she does ones in the big city.
- Flirt: Known for always following her heart, Ranneowyn has had a passing romance with many people. Her affection is an ephemeral one, though, and these encounters never lead anywhere serious.
- Pure Image: The combination of her modest upbringing, healthy lifestyle, and chaste love life has given her a very wholesome image, something of an oddity in the indulgent, decadent world of Sin’dorei high society
- Noble Blood?: Ranneowyn technically has a claim to a noble title which could serve as a hook into a political intrigue story.
Appearance
A fairly tall, long limbed, and naturally thin elf woman. She is something of a health nut and it shows in her appearance. Her life as a dancer keeps her in incredible shape, and she is stronger than she looks as well as incredibly flexible and agile. Her eyes are more of a turquoise color rather than green like most Sin'dorei as she avoids sources of fel corruption that could harm her natural beauty. Her crimson hair is cut short and her skin is smooth, pale, and soft, and she opts for a natural look with her makeup to artfully highlighting her good features.
She is also always very well dressed. She has something of a unique style in that she seems to be equally comfortable in both male and female clothing and wears either, or even a combination of both depending on what she fancies at the time. However, regardless of what she's wearing Ranneowyn veritably exudes confidence.
Personality
Flirtatious ⬥ Confident ⬥ Artistic ⬥ Independent
Lover of Beauty: A free spirited young woman who is infinitely passionate about the arts. She loves music, theatre, and fashion, but most of all she loves dance. She is always practicing her craft or appreciating others doing the same. She also takes great pride in maintaining her attractive appearance and can be not a little bit vain in that regard.
Coquette: Ranneowyn is a sprightly young woman who listens to her heart. She enjoys winning the affections of those around her, though these feelings seldom lead anywhere.
Tomboy Streak: Playing so many male roles has rubbed off on her a bit, and she isn’t afraid to lean into her more masculine side when it suits her.
Assertive: Not afraid to speak her mind. She is honest about her opinions and her intentions.
Bitter: Ranneowyn is deeply resentful of her father for abandoning her and her mother. Whenever he gets mentioned, it brings out the worst in her.
History
Ranneowyn’s mother, Piriam, was a rising star herself once upon a time. She is an incredibly talented singer and musician from a small town in Eversong Woods who everyone thought was destined for Silvermoon. However, that all changed after she became pregnant, unmarried, at the ripe young age of 117 with the child of the notorious disgraced noble adventurer, Doriyen Noonshade. The ensuing scandal saw Piriam’s dreams of success dashed, and she instead remained in her hometown making a meager living and doing her best to provide for her daughter, Ranneowyn. Doriyen never made himself part of her life and didn’t even meet her until she was four years old, but he did ultimately gift her a large sum of money which Piriam used to help Ranneowyn pursue her passions by earning her an apprenticeship with a popular traveling performance company.
Producers in Silvermoon quickly noticed Ranneowyn’s talent and before long she was able to break off on her own and start her career in earnest. Since then she has become a popular icon in not only dance, but also acting and music. However, despite her success as an artist, Ranneowyn’s image retains a certain sense of humbleness and relatability. She spends lots of time traveling across Quel’Thalas exploring the local scene and lives in a small town with her mother while she’s in between jobs. This peculiarity, paired with her low-born upbringing, has made her wildly popular with commoners and something of an anomaly among her peers in Silvermoon.
Relationships
| Thuraniel "An insufferable, stuck up, arrogant rich girl. Look at how perfect her life is. Yeah, I hope she can enjoy it alone too now, because my mom wasn't good enough for him. But I guess a rich archmage is. She can choke for all I care." |
| Taeavon "Father's pride and joy. Must have been nice. Can't imagine why else he'd be smiling all the time for with that troll of a mother. The way he's so friendly with everyone just pisses me off. I could punch him in his perfect teeth…" |
