Appearance
Kerlo stands half a head taller than most gnomes, which made him a shoo-in for the G.D.F. back in the day. He's always carrying some extra squish around the middle, but under it is well-toned muscle. His platinum-blond hair does a decent job of hiding a sprinkling of gray. His violet eyes, when not covered by goggles, are full of warmth and kindness.
Personality
Romantic - Protective - Gullible - Innovative
Kerlo is romantic in every sense of the word: he believes in love, as well as in heroism and Grand Principles and that all things will turn out well in the end. He is genuinely concerned about others' well-being, to the point of sometimes neglecting his own interests. Unfortunately he can be all too easily taken in by scam artists who would take advantage of his generous nature. A forward-thinking inventor like many of his kind, he's prized in the Alliance military for his creative solutions and unique strategies.

History
Kerlo has served in the military for as long as such opportunities have been available to gnomes, but usually in a background role maintaining weapons or making explosives. During the Second War he helped maintain war planes that shot down many a red dragon, and toward the end of the war as losses became heavy he was allowed to join the pilots a time or two in the air. His style was described as "a quarter flash and three-quarters substance," and the moniker stuck. More recently, he was among the first gnome members of the 7th Legion.
