- Hyjal: If you fought at Hyjal and were a Night Elf, you might know her. She wasn't important enough to interact with the other armies, so it's unlikely any fighters knew her personally, though things got pretty nuts and someone might have seen her.
- Sentinels: It's possible other Sentinels knew her or her mother if they spent time in Ferelas.
- Astranaar: Anyone from here or who's spent time here may know her. She has lived here ever since a few months after Hyjal.
Appearance
Niarra is about average height for a female Night Elf, depending on the thickness of the boots she's wearing. Her skin is pale lavender, and her white hair is just below shoulder length. Some of it is pulled back in a short tail to keep the strands out of her eyes. She has well-defined cheekbones and a tiny cleft in her chin.
Her body is lean, though not hard and muscled. She has no tattoos, but does have visible scars: a long horizontal slice on her left cheekbone, and what appear to be claw marks trailing down from her lower right arm to her wrist. These are all shiny, and appear to have happened in the last few years.
Personality
Niarra often seems absent from the world and contemplative. In conversation, she is quiet and perhaps melancholy, missing 'sad and depressed' by the thin margin of the faint smile she's probably wearing. Not that she talks much; Niarra is an excellent listener, both in her native language and Common which she speaks with a high degree of proficiency though with an accent.
In combat, Niarra appears to shy away from direct attacks though she may use her abilities to send attackers running.
History
Niarra was born in a small village in Feralas that has since faded back into the wilderness. Her birth came just prior to the War of the Shifting Sands, making her a few years less than 1,000 and she doesn't really count anymore. Her father, she's been told, was a spymaster passing through. Her mother was a Sentinel, though Niarra will say that in a sense all the Sentinels were her mother, for they all helped raise her. It was inevitable she, too, would become one.
Until Hyjal.

Niarra fighting at Hyjal.
From her vantage point, Niarra could see the base of the mountain. She saw the huge black swath of Archimonde's army approaching, as did most that day. She saw the human army take the brunt of it, couldn't see the dwarven position when it got overrun, and fought as it reached her.
During the fight, she was knocked off an outcrop and tumbled down the mountain where, badly injured, she met up with a dwarf similarly cut off. They attempted to reach safety together when Jaina's evacuation teleport snatched her off the mountain at the sound of Malfurion's horn. Her dwarven companion was left behind, presumably dead in the explosion that followed.
She was months recovering from her injuries, and resigned from the Sentinels thereafter. She has been living in Astranaar, refusing to set foot in Darnassus. Recently, though she hasn't discussed why, she has joined the ranks of the Priestesses of Elune, but spends her time and talents with humans and dwarves.
