RP Hooks

  • Con Artists: People of a similar 'profession' might have temporarily teamed up with Natlee and her mother, though never long-term.
  • The Conned: You might have a score to settle with Natlee.
  • Mystic Ward Priests: You might be involved in helping Natlee on her journey to sainthood.

Appearance

Natlee has big, long-lashed blue eyes, a wealth of thick, shiny, platinum blonde hair, and an almost painfully sweet, innocent face. Her complexion is in the darker range for gnomes, her frame petite and feminine. She tends to wear soft, girlish clothes in pastel or pale colors, and even her priestly robes are altered so that they are flattering and fashionable.

Her face is extraordinarily mobile and expressive. She talks as much with her eyes and her hands and little scrunches of her nose as she does with her words. Almost every sentence ends on an airy little up-tilt, as though it were a question.

Personality

Sweet • Self-Indulgent • Shrewd • Indomitable

The first thing one notices about Natlee is how adorable she is. The second thing one notices is what an absolutely high maintenance, tone-deaf pain in the butt she can be. Other people's wants and needs are often seen as annoying obstacles she needs to cleverly evade in pursuit of whatever luxury or whim she knows she absolutely deserves.

Underneath that grating layer however is a softness that, while not well cultivated, certainly exists and sneaks out from time to time. It's what makes her smiles and her baby blues so genuinely disarming to some - one can see that it's not all just a ruse, and that there's actually a sweet little girl somewhere in there who maybe does deserve a lollipop.

Those who have the dubious pleasure of going out into a combat situation with her will be shocked to discover how swiftly she rises to the occasion, and how events that would leave most people a trembling wreck afterward find her tossing off a few petulant complaints and then immediately touching up her manicure. It's not that she's oblivious to the horror of certain things, it just seems to roll off her more easily than most.

History

Natlee's earliest memories are of traveling the world with her beautiful, charismatic mother, sleeping somewhere different every night. Sea travel was involved, and zeppelins, and all manner of fantastic things. At around six or seven her mother began to play "games" with her that involved her standing in certain places and pretending to cry, saying certain lines to people or asking them to help her with things. After these games were over, her mother always seemed to have a lot of new shiny things!

By the time Natlee was old enough to fully understand that she was part of a two-person con artist and criminal outfit, the moral temperature of the water had risen so gradually she was unaware she was boiling, so to speak. She never had to examine it; it was just The Way Things Were. And she was good at it! Her mother was the only permanent person in her life, and her mother never trained her to think about the people on the other end of their schemes.

And then her mother died. For the first time in her life, Natlee had no idea what to do.

She charmed and conned her way back to the place her mother had told her she was born, only to find it in ruins. She asked around about her people and found out they were now living in Ironforge. The first person there to show her kindness was a dwarven priest, and within weeks Natlee had devoted herself to the Light.

A redemption arc is a REALLY cute look for her.
