Appearance
Mi Shu is a young pandaren woman who is about average height for her race. She is quite fit, but carries that strength underneath a healthy plumpness also typical for a pandaren. Her black and white fur has a lustrous sheen and is incredibly soft. Her eyes are a vibrant green like that of pure jade and she wears her hair in a neat bun. She is every bit the model image of a pandaren beauty and the sweet scent of plum as well as other herbs and aromatics follows her wherever she goes.
While at home or working on her brews she maintains this pristine appearance with nice, fashionable clothing, but while she’s on an adventure or out on the town, as she is wont to do, she opts for a more cute and casual look better suited to her own personal tastes. When she’s out and about Mimi is rarely caught without a jar of wine, plenty of snacks to share, and her erhu.
One additional thing that one might note about Mi Shu is the small snake spirit that follows her around. This is Fusheng, the guardian spirit of the Jadepaw family plum grove. He took a liking to her ever since she was a baby and he now stays by her side to protect her, warning her of danger, be it from enemies or from her father about to uncover her latest bout of mischief.
Personality
Playful ⬥ Curious ⬥ Hedonistic ⬥ Respectful
Mi Shu is a very sprightly and animated person. She is always eager to meet new people, learn all about them, and of course to share a meal and a good drink together. She lives to experience new and exciting things and got into no small amount of trouble as a child sneaking out to go exploring or breaking into her grandfather’s stores for some more exciting libations to share with her friends and cousins. She loves nothing more than spending time in good company eating, drinking, dancing, playing music, or any other enjoyable activity.
She has quite the impish streak and can be a bit nosy at times in her eagerness to get to know others better. This often results in her obtaining new ammunition with which to tease her friends, but it’s never malicious. She enjoys joking and flirting with others just to lighten the mood.
This all being said, however, Mi Shu is still very dedicated to her role as the future heir of the Jadepaw family. She knows to dial back on her antics when the situation calls for it, even if she might need to be reminded sometimes. And even out exploring the world now, she is always on the lookout for new allies or ideas that might help the Jadepaw Brewery grow and flourish.
History
Mi Shu is a member of the Jadepaw family, a renowned family of brewers on the Wandering Isle famous for their plum wine, sake, and herbal tinctures. Mi Shu’s parents, Guan Shu and Mei Yoon faced fertility troubles for years after they were married, and for a time it seemed that the younger son, Guan Ho, would have to step up to become the next heir, but miraculously, Mi Shu was finally born.
As the only daughter, Mi Shu was doted on endlessly by her parents, but they also placed great expectations upon her. As she got older, she was pushed to learn the ways of shamanism as her father and grandfather had in order to prepare to inherit the Jadepaw brewery, but try as she might, Mimi simply had no aptitude for communing with the elements. Guan Shu was crestfallen as he slowly came to accept this until one day he saw his daughter playing in the plum grove with Fusheng, the Jadepaw’s guardian spirit.
Guan Shu was shocked. He had seldom even seen Fusheng take physical form, much less interact with another person. He asked Mimi why Fusheng had revealed himself to her and she simply responded that he was her friend and that she would talk to him and play whenever she snuck out to go exploring in the grove. It was at that moment that Guan Shu realized that while his daughter may not be able to control the elements, she had an incredible knack for communing with the spirits.
From that point forward, she began training as a monk under her maternal grandmother, Cao Ren, a retired monk adventurer and a kindred spirit of Mi Shu. Since then she has developed her connection to the spirits and to herself and has grown much both as a fighter and as a brewer. And now that’s she’s finally come of age, Mi Shu is ready to take on the world, experience new things, and eventually write the next page in the history of the Jadepaw family.
