RP Hooks

  • Semi-Famous Ancestor: Neddick Tinkwhistle wasn't legendary, but he was well known in M.E.G.A. (the Mechanical Engineering Guild, Associated) in his day.
  • Unruly Demons: Meepsie's control of her demons is tenuous at best, and mostly due to the binding spell that Marioly placed upon them. There is a non-zero chance they will act beyond the scope of Meepsie's instructions (and without her knowledge).

Appearance

Short even by gnome standards, and somehow made smaller by her retracted posture and demure demeanor. She has a softness about her that shows in her round cheeks, fullness of hips, and a somewhat plump tummy. Her naturally dark hair only shows at the roots, otherwise having turned shock white.

Personality

Meek • Appreciative • Indulgent • Pensive

Meepsie is timid by nature and has always been non-confrontational. Her small stature has only deepened her fearfulness of physical harm, making her a skittish little thing. But she is friendly once one gets past her initial shyness, and has a deep appreciation for the beauty and artistry of the world; sometimes too much appreciation, losing herself in fanciful and romantic ideas about people or situations.

While she is prone to indulging her whims and emotions — often leading her to give in to temptation and excess — she is also a thoughtful and clever young woman. When it comes to something she desires or wants to understand, she can be quite particular, and very patient.

History

Despite being descended from master engineer Neddick Tinkwhistle — so called for his special technique of tinking his spanner on pipes while whistling through them and using the sound to identify problems — Meepsie lacked her family's gifts for mechanics. What she did inherit from her ancestor, though, was his ear for tone. Meepsie tuned into music her entire life, displaying a gift for memorizing and reciting melodies even from an early age.

Though her family encouraged and supported her gift, Meepsie was always rather timid about performing in front of others. On the rare occasions when she did, she would blossom, losing herself in the music and belting out a voice one could hardly imagine comes from a tiny gnome body. Other than a few private parties, however, she never sang in front of any large groups.

It was at one of those parties that Meepsie met a passionate and mysterious young lady named Marioly. She was swept up in Marioly's intensity and the attention she lavished upon her. The two fell hard for each other and became romantically involved for several years. Through it all, Meepsie was so enchanted that she remained blind to the truth about her girlfriend: Marioly was a warlock.

Meepsie only discovered her girlfriend's dark secret during the evacuation of the Gnomeregan, when Marioly performed a dangerous spell to conjure all of her bound demons at once. She ordered them to protect Meepsie and obey her commands as if they were Marioly's own, "at all costs". She enforced this dictum with a powerful binding spell before heading back into the fray to hold off the troggs while Meepsie escaped under the guard of the demons. Meepsie never saw Marioly again.

Though terrified of the demons, Meepsie couldn't be rid of them…nor they of her. They could not harm her, but that did not stop them from trying to manipulate and corrupt her. In didn't take long for other gnomish warlocks to find Meepsie. Once they realized what happened, and all efforts to break Marioly's binding failed, they resolved to train Meepsie as a warlock to teach her how to control the demons herself.

Relationships

Boopsie Sparkfly
Boopsie was Meepsie's older sister. They were never particularly close, a face Meepsie now regrets after Boopsie's tragic death. What she wouldn't give for a second chance, but there are some things even fel magic can't accomplish.

Marioly

Marioly
Former Girlfriend (presumed deceased). She was Meepsie's first love…and also saddled her with a stable of demons before she died. Thanks, honey!

Demons

Volham the Vicious Volham the Vicious
Volham is a brute among imps. Broad, thickly-muscled (as imps go, anyhow), with a mean stare that can wilt flowers and spoil milk. He can usually be found chewing on an acrid cigar, growling about whatever has most recently annoyed him.
Ormthyk

Ormthyk
Ormthyk is a highly intelligent voidwalker; he is quite the scholar among his kind. He allowed himself to be bound into warlock servitude in order to better study mortals and, specifically, the Light and its properties as an antithesis to the Void.

He has little patience for fools and tends to look down on those he considers intellectually inferior (which included a great many others), but he enjoys a deep conversation with a peer.

Hesva Hesva
Hesva is like many succubi: manipulative, seductive, sadistic, and a bit of a romantic. Above all…she is lazy. She absolutely hates to have to lift a finger to do anything for herself, let alone anyone else. She will seduce, cajole, and outright ensorcel to get others to do for her if she's able. If there is anything she loathes more than work, however, it's boredom…and there is nothing more boring than the Twisting Nether. She'll do just about anything to stay on Azeroth…or more likely get someone else to do it for her.
Cenporto Cenporto
Cenporto is every bit as sadistic as Hesva…but much more motivated. He prefers to get directly involved rather than manipulate others. But that doesn't mean he wants to act on anyone else's behalf. He resents being bound to a warlock and makes no secret of it. He delights in intimidating Meepsie, even though he knows he cannot harm her, for he also knows she is less likely to summon him if she fears him.
Luudom Luudom
Most felhunters are savage, vicious predators…the terror of mages everywhere. Luudom is…not. He'll be more than happy to suck the mana out of an arcanist…if said arcanist would just be so kind as to come close and hold still. This demon is old, overweight, and would rather whine for food than hunt for it. He can still fight if danger is near, but he would much rather find a comfy place to flop down and take a nap.
Stinky Stinky
Meepsie doesn't much care for how her felsteed smells…hence the name.
