RP Hooks
- Cenarion Researcher: Lode may be known of by those who have participated in the investigation of Silithus, who are involved in the druids' knowledgework, or who have any interest in her specialty of strange lifeforms and their methods of 'speaking'.
- Young Sentinel: Lode was a capable but undistinguished Sentinel for a period of time that might be considered 'short' by many night elf standards. She was someone who did as told and wound up so frustrated that she threw herself at druidry with the fervor of the trapped.
- No One Can Give Claw the Slip: Lode is a recent inductee of the Druids of the Claw, using her form shifting to access heightened senses that serve her research as much as the ferocity to protect herself.
- Tinkertown Regular: Lode has picked up some basic principles of Gnomish engineering and shops around.
Appearance
She casts a somewhat imposing figure, tall and overtly muscular for a woman, with most of her strength in her upper body. She leads with her shoulders when she walks, tearing across a room with definitive intent.
Lode often appears to have her thoughts fixed elsewhere, her eyes energetic and curious, but looking toward a distant purpose.
Her mix of cloth and leather clothing is accentuated with feathers and colorful shards of chitin.
Red Goggles: Red lenses turn her fairly normal silvery eyelights warm colors.
Silithid Fragments: The size and patterning of some of her chitin decor clearly come from some bright giant insect carapace.
Wandering Mycelium: Fungal threads web across some of her pieces of gear.
Personality
While sometimes aloof, Lode is passionate and exciteable about preferred topics of niche interest, to the extent of often elevating them above more immediate or practical concerns. She has a belief in the value of knowledge for its own sake and will actively pursue it. She may read as someone insensitive to polite manners, regarding them as superfluous.
Ferocious: Bristles with a coarse and undomesticated energy, regardless of form or dominant expression.
History
While generally uninterested in speaking about parts of her history beyond the past few years, a few things are clear:
Most recently, Lode has spent much time living and researching in southern Kalimdor on the speciality of "life communications" (think similar to biosemiotics), monitoring the varieties and activity of silithid at the behest of the Cenarion Circle, which she had previously joined as soon as it was permitted.
Prior to that, she lived as a sentinel for about a century, after an uneventful childhood in the remote reaches of Feralas.
