RP Hooks

• Swordsman: While you were doing whatever else you were up to, Kyris studied the blade.
• Arena Fighter: Both in Dalaran's underground fighting arena and in the Argent Tournament, Kyris fought as the Swordsman, giving no other name. His sword, however, is incredibly memorable.
• Ta'Kierthan Songblade: Crafted centuries ago by a legendary elven priest, this sword chants in Darnassian when in use. The intensity of the chanting seems proportional to the intensity of the combat.

Appearance

Kyris is five feet and nine inches tall. His hair is so dark a brown as to look black in most lighting, and his eyes are a lighter shade of brown. He has feminine facial features and a slim build; combined with his voice, which sounds like it never fully deepened during puberty, he is very frequently mistaken by strangers for a flat-chested woman. The length at which he keeps his hair does very little to correct this assumption - it comes down to his lower back, very straight, with neat bangs that are a little longer in the center than they are at the sides. His hands have the calluses of a swordsman, but he has no visible scars even after many long years spent in the Alliance military.

Kyris is not a nice man, nor is he a happy one. He is brooding, bitter, often jealous, and some days he manages to curb his sharp tongue better than others. All of this inner discontent, when in combat, gets channeled into a meditative flow state of calm.

He believes very strongly in the Alliance and what it stands for.

Kyris is an intersex man who could be interested in any gender and all Alliance races. He has little to no interest in social politics, but he is a nobleman of Stormwind and will inherit a seat on the House of Nobles, which could be appealing to someone who wants a title. He is infertile but open to adopting children.

History

The firstborn son of master tactician Kieran Lysander, Kyris was raised with the heavy weight of his father's expectations bearing down on him. In some regards, he stood strong; in others, he crumbled. The person Kyris is now is not the person his father wanted him to be. In late Year 27, having worked his way up to the rank of Knight-Champion, Kyris resigned from the Alliance military and went through his midlife crisis.

He fought in the fighting rings in Dalaran's sewers for a time under the name 'Swordsman', where he met Lady Lucille Moore, who aggressively befriended him. The day of the Battle of Icecrown Citadel, Lucy suggested that he join Cobalt Company. While she died before being able to introduce Kyris to Captain Jocoza Sparkwire after all, Kyris followed up with the recruitment process on his own.

• Kyris fought in the Western Plaguelands in a Cobalt team lead by Florande and was there when the Alliance lost Andorhal.
• Kyris was dispatched to Tol Barad with White Squad, but his ship was sunk by a kraken and Kyris was captured by naga. He was rescued by Lena Coit and the Fallons.
