RP Hooks

  • Draenei: If you crashed in the Exodar, you probably know everyone else who did, so feel free to know/remember Kaerix.
  • Rangaari: Though everyone in her particular unit is now deceased, rangaari in general might know her at least a little as a capable explorer who spoke several languages.

Appearance

Uniformly blue from horn to hoof. A slightly severe brow shape is softened by the constant smile that lifts the corners of her mouth. She is of average height and weight for a draenei woman, her only distinguishing feature being a slightly stubby tail.

She wears her long hair in jaunty ponytails, and her manner of dress strikes a balance between rugged practicality and flattering aesthetics. When necessary she will always choose durability over style, however, as her life has her on the road constantly in many dangerous areas.

Her demeanor is sunny and a bit girlish, her gaze often vague or abstracted, giving the impression of subpar intelligence. This is misleading.

Personality

Optimistic • Dependent • Eloquent • Adventurous

Kaerix is always the first to introduce herself, the first to explore a new place, and the first to find a solution when something goes wrong. If she can't find a solution, she'll give a rousing speech that motivates others to find it.

Words are her passion: she always has a novel or three in her backpack, usually adventure or romance, and often in multiple languages. She writes poetry in a little journal but is afraid to show it to anyone. After words, her true love is travel: the more challenging the better. High mountain peaks, scorching deserts, or jungles crawling with savage wildlife are her playgrounds.

Her fatal weakness is an absolute inability to be alone, or to make major decisions without input from others. Community and communication are more important to her than bread and water.

This character is romanceable.

History

Kaerix is young, as adult draenei go, and until Azeroth, she had only ever known Draenor. As part of a small team of Rangaari scouts and explorers (all but her now deceased), she learned nearly every inch of the planet, both before and after its shattering by Ner'Zhul. She learned the languages of several of Draenor's peoples to a conversational level, and occasionally tutored others in their own language learning.

She loved her home, but is excited at the prospect of having a brand new world to learn inside and out, as well as new languages to master. To help herself "bond" with her new home of Azeroth, Kaerix began to learn the way of the shaman from Farseer Nobundo. During the conflict against the Lich King, she was tapped by Vice Admiral Siamus Fallon to share her knowledge of elemental spirits in service of the Alliance navy.

Relationships

Nesselos
A long time friend and now fellow shaman with whom Kaerix has always felt a strong sympathetic vibe. They worked together to help the air spirits in Westfall.
Mansia
A charmingly absent-minded shaman, always more in the spirit world than the material one. Kaerix wonders what goes through her mind… Assisted in Westfall with the air spirits.
Siamus
The Vice Admiral! So dreamy… Kaerix has spent time aboard his flagship the Lady Blanche, helping to communicate with the elements and also trying to keep crew morale up.
Ally
The amazing human who translates the Cobalt Company newsletters each week into Draenic, allowing Kaerix to pick up so much exciting and relevant new vocabulary!
Florande
A druid who escorted Kaerix to the Plaguelands to witness their efforts in bringing the land back to life. Very kind, and seems quite young for someone so accomplished.
Mr. Reeves
A young mage who needed help retrieving some artifacts from the Scarlet Monastery and Uldaman. Kaerix has to pretend she understands half of what he's saying.
Gwen
A celebrity that Kaerix had embarrassingly not heard of when they were introduced! Part of the mage government of Dalaran, apparently. Kaerix has done research since then.
Liruna
Kae's quiet, melancholy older sister. Kaerix is thrilled that, on Azeroth, Liruna finally has the chance to explore her arcane talents freely.
