RP Hooks

Nature loving: Anything related to nature could be fun!

Past life: Iphindra has forgotten all about who she was as a Kaldorei, and used to be completely different. Those who have known her a few hundred years ago might be surprised to see how much she's changed.

Criminal?: Before disappearing, Iphindra stole something important to the druids. Perhaps one day she'll be punished for her crimes.

Appearance

Covered in plants growing on her body, especially in her hair, their roots reaching the side of her face and on her shoulders, Iphindra is a sight to see! Her green hair and pink skin make her look strikingly similar to the dryads of Kalimdor. She's taller than average for a Kaldorei, and lean. Her face is soft and fairly mature-looking.

In Northrend, she looks more like one of the Frost Nymphs. Her skin is icy blue, her hair in a darker shade holds perennial vines and flowers, while some frost gathers on her skin.

Regardless of where she is, Iphindra lacks the face tattoos most Kaldorei woman have.

Personality

Have you ever met a dryad? Then that's all you need to know to understand Iphindra's personality! She has spent centuries with them, losing her old identity in the process and becoming progressively more like them. Cheerful, nature-loving, and willing to fight to protect the life around her. She also takes on their more negative aspects, as any of her negative emotion is felt tenfold, and greater forms of sadness could cause her to feel extremely sick. Thankfully, as in her sisters, these emotions are rare, and almost inexistent in Iphindra.

History

Iphindra wasn't always called like this. Long ago, she had another name, even a last name, but both have been lost to time. Iphindra was born almost 600 years ago to a blacksmith mother and an affluent druid father. She grew up hearing of the Emerald Dream, of the wonders druids were capable of, as well as how she was forbidden from following such a path.

So she grew resentful.

For the first two centuries of her life, Iphindra was angry, and disrespectful to druids like her father, preferring loneliness to the presence of any Kaldorei who might have suggested their traditions were right. She was cold, serious, bitter. She refused to join most religious ceremonies, rejecting all traditions of her people, criticizing it all regardless of her actual faith in Elune.

And one day, she snapped.

She stole one of the enchanted acorns used to give life to a dryad from her father, and ran away from Mount Hyjal, into the deep forests of Ashenvale. She took care of the acorn, helped it grow, strive, and soon enough, the fruit would grow into a dryad, Idrana, who took a strong liking to the woman who grew her, regardless of her transgressions. Both joined a nearby dryad community which welcomed them with open arms as Iphindra had shown great care in how she took care of Idrana. The dryads taught Iphandra the value of life, and how to nurture it. From them, she learned the speech of flowers, of vines, of beasts and leaves. She learned how to heal, and how to fight.

Soon, Iphindra received her current name from her sisters, and every day the old one became progressively more meaningless, until it fully disappeared from her mind, quickly followed by the woman she used to be.

The dryads hid Iphindra from most other Kaldorei, protecting her from the repercussions the theft could have on her. It took the Battle of Mount Hyjal for the elf to come out of hiding, although, even there, she kept pretty reclusive. Only a few elves saw her heal her sisters as they fought the Legion. A ghost of a past life.

After the end of the Third War, Iphindra went home to Ashenvale with her sisters, hiding once more. A few months ago, however, Iphindra grew curious about the world outside of the woods, and the elf decided to finally leave to fully see all the life that inhabits her world.

Relationships

Maisha Cloudskimmer
"Maisha sounds so much like one of my sisters! I never thought I could meet someone like this outside of Kalimdor."
Erixa
"She's a colleague in Blue Squad! She's very competent, and she seems kind. Erixa obeys the orders of Atley without flinching, which is good, according to what people like! We played with snowballs for a little bit. So she can be playful, too! I wonder what all the worlds she went to looked like…"
Cressidha
"Cressidha was the first person in Cobalt Company who came to me to get to know me better. She seems really nice! Although she looks very serious and proper. I think she should let loose a little! I think she sees right and wrong very much. That's good!"
Atley
"He seems strict, but that's part of his function, I believe! I need to show him especially I'm strong, loyal and obedient, to prove myself to the Company! Sometimes he gives orders that make me feel not happy, but that's what leaders are for… probably."
Velrin
"One of the Kaldorei. I don't know what to think of her. She's my ally, and I must work well with her, at the very least! I heal her just as much as I do the others, if she's in need of help. She smiles at me from time to time… but she's a Kaldorei. There's just something weird about them."
Zaara
"A healer, like me! She says she feels the world. I wonder if she understands all the way it speaks like me, too. She sneezed, when I was there, I forgot to ask if she needed healing…"
Mayellen Mullby
"She seems nice and worried about me when staying in Ironforge became a little too difficult. That was nice. This human kept looking at me while I was making Ironforge livelier… Maybe she doesn't know some plants thrive in the dark and thought I was dooming the ones I grew?"
Annibeth Jensen
"She left before me and Maisha joined their table. Too bad, she looked like a friend of these other humans!"
Whatever his name was
"One of these 'perfect' male kaldorei druid. He seemed nice enough, but I think he was trying to recruit me into some… elven Elune worship. I feel… a warmth - an unpleasant one - in my stomach, when he talks to me, as well as some pressure in my shoulders, and when I'm like that, I don't feel like talking. I don't know what this feeling is…"
The stone thrower
"She left when I said I wasn't comfortable around elves. That was very nice of her!"
Linwel
"They're wonderful! A real moonkin! We exchanged gift, and I plan on keeping their acorn with me very preciously until I find the perfect place to plant it. I wonder if all moonkins are elves who've ascended their previous form like them… No matter, I know luck will bring us together again!"
Captain Sparkwire
"What can I say about Captain Sparkwire that hasn't been said already? She's the captain of a group of heroes after all! She seems smart, but kind too. I really want to impress her. To show her I'm worthy of being a hero, too!"
Lena
"A warlock I met during a company event. She seems nice! She travels the seas, that's interesting. I don't go to sea often."

Ben

Ben
"He's one of the squad leaders. He seems a little softer than Dane. I think that's cute! I'm sure he's strong, though, he wouldn't be where he is if he wasn't. Loyal and obedient, too!"
Nunuzac
"She's one lively draenei! She looks really fun, I'm curious to know more about her. I… didn't understand fully or what she was trying to do when I met her, however, so maybe that's why I'm curious."
Hm…
"I'm… not sure I caught his name! He seems just as lost about Nunuzac as I did. He's a great tailor, Nunuzac said, so he must be passionate about his craft!"
Nedrus Umbrafang
Her father, from which she stole a sacred acorn, hundreds of years ago before she joined the dryads. She has no recollection of him, but his strictness regarding his people's traditions has pushed Iphindra to become a hermit living on the fringes of Mount Hyjal, before leaving Kaldorei society entirely.
Birch Birch
"I helped Birch in the Plaguelands, and he helped me in return. He lost his cavalier, sadly. I said he could stay with me for a little bit, and he's been with me since! He's a true friend to me.
